Everything perfect, but you also pay for it

Recently made another reservation at Buuren. Given our previous experiences, we are confident of a delicious dinner. That trust was once again not in vain because we were once again treated to a delicious 3-course dinner with excellent wines. Sasha also told us that Wij Buuren is one of the top restaurants in Alphen, if not the best restaurant. Super.

This restaurant is a must-visit for food lovers. Dishes like black halibut, venison, and garlic soup are beautifully presented, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. Not only is it priced very accessibly, but they use delicious fresh ingredients, creative preparations, and have very friendly service- offering a relaxed yet memorable dining experience. We will be sure to come back!

Food itself was good, except for the creme brulee. The texture is very different due to the tonka beans. The taste is of course also slightly different, which means that this is not worth repeating for me. Atmosphere and service are more than excellent.

You have to reserve North Sea sole and I had done that, but he had not read that...., OK, you think based on previous experiences, we will go again. Stupid you would say, indeed, waiting 1.5 hours for the starter, which was much too salty and after asking for 2.5 hours, no main course, we walked away, after paying 75 euros for wine and a starter and a spoiled evening, good luck Sacha, we will never come again, I hope this will prevent even more people from being disappointed by the Neighbors.

Had a very good evening at Brasserie Buuren. We had the carpaccio as a starter and the meat specialty (the bavette) as a main course. Both recommended! The prosecco, red wine and muscat were also very popular. Our waiter, the sommelier in training, gave good advice and it was very nice to listen to him. Compliments to him in particular.

Great food at (the) Brasserie Buuren What a beautiful hidden gem in Alphen, we had dinner there on a Thursday evening in a warm, cozy atmosphere. The host Sascha gave us a great evening. The food was beautifully served and explained in every detail and the red wine suggestion with the main course was spot-on. All dishes and the amuse turned out to be a delicious treat for the senses. As far as we are concerned, the last visit to Buuren will remain the last. What is left of the cozy atmosphere that used to be there! The food was of good quality as always, but the service was subpar. We did not feel welcome at all and were treated indifferently. We ordered the 3-course menu and ordered coffee/tea instead of the included dessert. To our surprise and dismay, we had to pay extra for tea and coffee, i.e. everything was charged a la carte instead of the menu. In short, goodbye to Buuren.

The dishes were all sublime. The plates were beautifully presented. We sat near the door and that is not pleasant in this cold period when the door keeps opening. The service could pay more attention to the drinks. The glasses have been empty for too long and that is a shame, because that means lost turnover. Furthermore, we had a great and pleasant evening.

Delicious dinner tonight with 4 people! I had a French onion soup beforehand that was very tasty. As a main course, butter-tender deer with super tasty Brussels sprouts, red cabbage and a very tasty gravy. Dessert was a parade of sweet treats. Also delicious! We ended up here because we were on holiday in the area. And what a culinary experience that turned out to be. The terrace at the back is a bit small, the tiles are crooked, so the tables are not too stable. But unique on the Oude Rijn. We first had a glass of wine there and enjoyed our first appetizer. The staff's knowledge of wine is excellent, and the amuse was delicious. We were led to the second floor for the rest of the dinner. Very warm, rustic decor. Anyway, we came for the food, and it was just fantastic. Delicious dishes where it was always explained what exactly was on your plate. And the accompanying wines were wonderful. And there is a very wide choice for a drink as a digestif. We will definitely go back, even though the journey there is a 130 km drive.

Ate here for the third year in a row as part of the restaurant promotion. Completely new menus (including delicious amuse). This time we went for the fish menu. Fantastically prepared plaice with a variety of delicious vegetables. Also the homemade fries and homemade mayonnaise, of course. For dessert the Romanov strawberries. Very satisfied and then rolled home. But, we know for sure that we will definitely go back next year!
