My sister and I had a wonderful meal. We sat comfortably by the water. The food was truly excellent. We had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be back!

We ate at Da Simeone for the first time, and it was delicious! It was busy, so the wait times were a bit longer, but the excellent service more than made up for it. They were very helpful in choosing the dishes, were super friendly, and the food was perfect. We will definitely be back! Rajaâ, thank you so much for the wonderful evening.

I waited an hour and a half for a pizza I ordered, which was already in the oven after the lady told me to, only to be told they were out of pizza dough. The bruschetta was tasty, but everything else was really poorly organized.

I recently went here with my partner. It was our first time eating here. Our reservation was quite late, but we got the best spot! Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated rather quickly. The wait was a bit long. We had to pick up some food, which wasn't a problem at all, and our order was put on hold. Once we got back, the food arrived and we could enjoy our meal. It was excellent. The Panne Burro appetizer was delicious. The main course was well-prepared, in true Italian style. The Pizza Giuseppe and Pizza Saforredda are definitely recommended. The service was excellent everywhere, and the staff and hostess were very friendly. I definitely recommend this if you want a relaxed and good Italian meal.

We went by the good reviews, but all in all we didn't find it great Price/quality is not right, too expensive for what is delivered.

Had dinner here with two people last night. They serve the best pizzas we've had in a long time! Nice and thin, tasty dough, not too salty, and fresh ingredients. We shared a pizza Paulina (mushrooms, garlic, oregano, capers) and a pizza 4 Formaggi. We had reserved a table on the terrace, beautifully situated next to the Oude Rijn, lovely cooling breeze and watching the boats passing by. It felt like a holiday.

What friendly people and the service is very good. People with passion for their profession and that is reflected in the food. Everything is freshly prepared. Really recommended! We will definitely come back again.

Had a wonderful meal last Wednesday, for a 40th wedding anniversary. The host and hostess had ordered various starters in advance so that we could taste a lot. It tasted delicious! The main course, in my case lasagna Classico, was also delicious. I did not hear any complaints from the other guests about pizzas and pastas, on the contrary. The dessert just barely fit. 😅 Despite the fact that the restaurant was completely full, the service was very smooth. In short, highly recommended for an evening of delicious Italian cuisine!

May 23rd a surprise party at Da Simeone, thanks Rajaa and Simone we had a delicious meal, everything was well organized, we were with a lot of children and adults so it was busy, but that was no problem, Rajaa and Simone worked very hard to provide everyone with delicious snacks and pizzas together with their team. 01-05-2025: Following the positive reports, we drove from Delft to Alphen a/d Rijn to have dinner at DA SIMEONE. It was a very positive surprise. The service was top notch and was not limited to picking up and delivering the food. We also think along. In my overconfidence, I had ordered quite a lot. Well that wasn't a problem. The food was more than TOP. Nice Merlot recommended that went well with it and I can also recommend the Tiramisu to everyone. Definitely worth repeating several times. Given the beautiful weather on May 1, I had a beautiful spot on the terrace.

A super cozy and delicious restaurant. Definitely recommended if you want good Italian food. I happened to see a bad review that said I had reserved for King's Day. Coincidentally, I know that it was extremely busy that day and that reservations were not possible! There is nothing wrong with that review. The owner is always super friendly and she does so much for the staff!

Had a delicious meal today at Da Simeone. A big shout out to the owner for how she personally stood up to welcome us even though the restaurant was not yet open. Staff extremely customer friendly and nice. Enjoyed the fresh pizza by the water. Highly recommended for a bite to eat in Alphen a/d Rijn. Definitely one for us to visit more often!

Had a lovely dinner here with my wife last Saturday evening. I had a Pizza Giuseppe myself, what a highlight on the menu! Delicious with Parma ham and fresh ingredients. The soil was also of very good quality. For dessert I had the Gelato Bennadetta, good quality chocolate ice cream with fresh fruit, vanilla sauce and whipped cream. Enjoyed this dessert in summer in winter.

Had dinner tonight at the Italian restaurant Da Simeone and it was definitely worth it! I had the Tortellini Ricotta e Spinaci myself and it was super tasty!! The food took me to Italy for a moment<3 Service was also great! Highly recommended if you want to eat Italian.

Boy, what a nice tent! Had dinner for the first time tonight and absolutely worth it. The service was very(!) good. Friendly, professional but also simply human. We were 3 adults and a 3 year old child. All enjoyed. Not necessarily cheap, but worth every cent because of the quality of the food. The ravioli with sage and butter was top class. We will definitely come back here.

We had dinner here with 29 people from our office. It was so wonderful and cozy. We received beautiful boards with delicious snacks as a starter. We had specified our main course in advance. Of course, this couldn't all be done at the same time, but that was no problem at all. We also had delicious desserts. The cheese board was great! The service was great and very friendly. We enjoyed it. Thank you very much!!

Very good Italian restaurant (the best in Alphen) with a beautiful location right next to the Rhine. If you are in Alphen ad Rijn, this is highly recommended.

Unfortunately I can’t give more than 2 stars for our experience here. We are a family of 5 and all 5 of us ordered pizzas. Nothing wrong with the pizzas except that they were all so unbelievably salty. There is even salt crystals sprinkled on the platter under the pizza (this is not flour - we know the difference). The service was unfortunate as well. Our server kept trying to upsell us to bread as a starter, and kept pushing more drinks. No problem, except our saying no thank you was met with an attitude each time. And at the end of the meal when we said no thank you to desert and coffee she really stepped up the attitude, and just turned and walked away after a heavy sigh. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

Best Italian in Alphen, not a glutton like the 'other' Italian, super nice and interested service, the food is also fantastic and if you want to make some adjustments, this is no problem. The permanent spot for us and see you soon!

The service left much to be desired. Wine glass minimally filled and it took a very long time before our main course was served. The tortelini was delicious but very little, was more of a starter. When the main course was delivered, the waitress was confused because she thought this was the starter. Then we were completely forgotten and we were unable to contact the staff to ask for the menu for dessert. In the end we received 3 dessert menus for 4 people and looked at them. Once again we were forgotten and were unable to make eye contact to speak to anyone. Eventually we spoke to the waitress and indicated that we did not think the service was good and that we had the feeling that we were the forgotten table. What really surprised us is that the owner/waitress argued with us and indicated that it was too busy... no excuses whatsoever. Then she speaks to another waitress and starts staring at us, we can clearly see that it is about us, this is really not possible in the middle of a restaurant. We would have found an apology appropriate then it would not have been a problem. The owner became very irritated and showed this enormously...and also brought in other colleagues. The service and hospitality were therefore lacking. A shame because the food itself was good. Tip: The guest is king and do not argue if a guest experiences that the service leaves much to be desired and at least offer your apologies. The restaurant had just opened at the time.

The 4 of us, including two culinary gourmets, enjoyed a delicious meal from the porchetta. Spicy, very creamy and yet crunchy, with a bowl of tasty spaghetti. One person had a good pizza. Panna cotta for dessert, nicely served and delicious. Friendly service despite the crowds. We were there for the third time.

Apparently a good looking restaurant. Staff is polite, but did not understand that we had placed an order. This made it take longer for it to arrive. As a starter we had tuna and mushrooms on toast. Toast was drenched in sauce and very rich. The main course, the 4 cheese pizza, was very rich, the blue cheese lay like a block on the pizza. The pasta seemed more like it was in the soup than it was like pasta sauce, very watery. When we got home we had various complaints, such as diarrhea, nausea and stomach pain. For us, this restaurant is not worth repeating. Too bad because the location on the water is very nice.

Yesterday the three of us ate here. Two of them had already eaten here before and were really satisfied, so we thought we would eat here again! Unfortunately it was the last time for us. All three of us did not feel well and had diarrhea and stomach problems. The pizzas were incredibly greasy and the pasta looked like tomato sauce with spaghetti. Because we were in a bit of a hurry, we left it as is. I find it extra annoying that I am heavily pregnant and cannot bear it if something was wrong with my food. Too bad, we had high expectations again, but for us this was the last time.

Last Sunday we had dinner at Da Simeone. We had made a reservation but not until 5pm the same day. Fortunately, they still had a spot for 2. We were warmly greeted by Simeone and Rajaâ and given a nice spot. The starter was very tasty, a soup, then I had pasta and my partner a mixed grill, it was noticeable that there are experienced people in the kitchen who like to make delicious food for the customers. Everything is fresh and delicious, for dessert we had a lemon pastry and ice cream with fresh fruits. There was nothing to complain about here either, lots of fresh fruit, lots of ice cream and whipped cream. Afterwards, we were the last to leave, we had a quick chat with Simeone and Rajaâ. This restaurant is highly recommended. A pearl in Alphen aan den Rijn for lovers of Italian food. Simeone and Rajaâ are fantastic hosts. They, and the other staff, will do everything they can to make the guests happy

My father turned 80 and all the staff sang congratulations to him in Italian! I think this is very special for him and he also really enjoys it! 🥰

April 30, 2024, Good evening dear reader, just returned from a wonderful evening at Da Simeone. As a starter we had a platter with all kinds of different types of cheese and meat. This is only reserved for a minimum of 2ps. Delicious hot pizza slices. Then we continued with scampi in white wine and I had tuna shasimi. Both were fine again. Then ended with tiramisu with a capucino. We can only say: KEEP IT UP!!!!!!! Happy Easter, Bart

Actually just full of praise. The staff (especially the owner because she has the most contact) is very warm and friendly. You can see that they work very hard because it was busy, but despite that the service was fast enough.. Pizza etc.. really very good. Compliments! Definitely come back.

If you are talking about attentive staff, this is the place to be! Everything is very sweet, which makes it even more pleasant to eat here. The food itself was also very tasty and the tiramisu is highly recommended :)

Delicious food and fantastic service.

Ate here on February 24. It was excellent. The Bavette was buttery soft and melted in your tongue and the wines were delicious. The fritto misto was also wonderfully crispy with a fantastic garlic sauce. We were 5 people. With some fries and pasta that I have never eaten so well anywhere else. The sea bass was also delicious. For dessert I asked for a Scroppino. This was not on the map. And I have never eaten this so well anywhere else. Dear team, you are so friendly and fun and the food is unbeatable. A 10 and a big hug.

Da Simeone, if Alphen aan den Rijn is an oester, da simeone is its pearl. Rarely you will be able to find a place where you can find a view to a river combined with some of the best Italian(/sardinian, which apparently is not the same) I have ever tasted in the Netherlands. Imagine a Frito misito chrispingly fresh to the point you will eat the heads of the shrimps not even mentioning the 4 day porcetta, honestly I am still dreaming about that dish. This amazing food combined with an unprecedented hospitality by Simeone and his wife makes this little gem really worth a visit if you happen to be anywhere close to Alpen. At least I had one of the best meals and warm restaurant experiences in Netherlands.

Excellent food and good service, although the agreed place was not restored when booking! Few people left after 10 o'clock on Thursday evenings! Atmosphere could be a bit more cozy with decoration and background music! We will be back Joop de Hoogh The wines are also priced on the high side!

What a super nice and delicious restaurant on the water! Great personal service and what wonderful choices. Butter-tender home-made carpaccio, bruschetta, lasagna, tenderloin, pasta carbonara. It's all equally delicious! Don't forget the wine! We would have liked to have our Christmas dinner here, but unfortunately it was closed. Recommended!

Picked up here for the first time. Friendly service. When we got home we were shocked by the quantity of the menus. Really so little for almost 60 euros... this was about the pasta dishes. So little, this is really not possible!

We came across this restaurant on Facebook, so we decided to give it a try. We had a delicious meal, friendly owners and service. It was sometimes a bit difficult to get hold of the service. But we enjoyed it tonight. The teramisu was so tasty that we had a second portion. We thought the price was a bit on the high side, but we will definitely come back.
