At Café Arnhem, you mainly need patience. There is little staff, so they are doing their best. But waiting more than half an hour for a drink is just bad...

An excellent burger after Susan and Freek; friendly service and order taken without a PDA is a plus. And the fact that you can roll the dice for a free burger is a nice little extra.

Great service, tasty food and drinks, buuuut don't order a baguette, you get a small roll with a little sauce for 5.50

Ordered a pasta carbonara with pancetta. When it arrived, the pasta was cold. The taste was best compared to pork belly with a fried egg. The portion was very meager (thank goodness, because it wasn't tasty). The pancetta was extremely overcooked. And the pasta carbonara had probably been sitting there for a while. Instead of being creamy, you could see pieces of solidified egg. So, a huge no-go. It is a nice place for a drink, but for food, I will look for a different terrace next time.

At first glance, a standard terrace, mainly due to its size, I guess. Upon arrival, we were annoyed that we had to order via our phones. However, it quickly turned out this wasn't necessary, as we were quickly assisted by a lovely woman and were able to place our orders with her. In the end, we had a good evening with lots of fun, tasty beers, and fast, good service.

It was busy on the terrace, so we had to wait a bit longer, but the atmosphere, the service, and the food were more than worth it. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

A friend and I sat on the terrace for fifteen minutes; it was very busy. The staff acted as if they didn't see us. We made eye contact, but they didn't come to take our order. The staff were busy with other things besides taking orders. We got up and left; I have never experienced having to wait so long anywhere.

A nice place in the city centre with a wide variety of dishes from the modern Dutch cuisine - which means that it is mostly Italian. The food was good, and the service was good as well. It was a bit slow, but we came during the peak hours, and this place is rather, thus taking that into account - it was okay. The atmosphere is nice, I did not exactly get some of the art inside, but I guess that's just the style and art could be subjective. I did enjoy the terrace outside, and the way they decorated the place on the inside.

Great place for lunch on a sunny day! We ordered the Caesar salad and the red beet sandwich — both were really tasty. It was quite crowded, but the staff kindly warned us in advance that the order would take over 30 minutes, which I really appreciated. Nice service and a relaxed atmosphere.

It took 30 minutes to get a sandwich and drinks took a long time too; it was bad before they finally came. You would think they should come to you instead of the other way around. Well no, I've been coming here for years, but now it's terrible.

On a cold Saturday afternoon, we settled in here for coffee and apple pie. Although the large outdoor terrace was fully heated, we found plenty of room inside. The coffee was truly delicious, and the apple pie was the last in stock, which was certainly noticeable. To our left, a large cooling wall stretches out, holding numerous wine bottles. The cooling machines disrupted conversation. In the center of the indoor hall is a very large square counter, which limits the number of cozy corners, except at the back. The restrooms are located on the first floor, accessible by stairs. When we left, the patio heater was still on. Is it possible to have visitors turn it on as needed?

After waiting half an hour, we had to ask if we could order something. The cheesecake didn't match what was on the menu and had to be adjusted. Drinks from another table were on our bill, and the service was really bad. We had to ask for a second round of drinks. You won't see us back here anytime soon; it used to be much better.

My Christmas evening was ruined by a blatant act of discrimination at this establishment. When my friend and I arrived at the bar, we were shown to a table, but just a few minutes later staff came up to us and said they could not serve us, claiming they had received information that we were allegedly too drunk. When I asked them to explain what this information was and who it came from, I was unable to get any clear answer. I must admit that this was not the first place we had visited that evening, but I was fully aware of my condition, as I always am. I then asked the waiter again why I was being refused service and took out my phone to record a video of the discrimination I was experiencing. The waiter said he did not allow me to film, started covering the camera with his hand, and tried to grab my phone. It was absolutely appalling. I have the right to film in a public place! In the end, we were forced to leave after being threatened with security and the police. It was extremely humiliating to be practically pushed out of the establishment in front of everyone. I do not recommend this place — such arbitrariness should not be allowed.

Well, it's a pretty nice place with a good, large terrace. Unfortunately, the service doesn't quite measure up to the overall experience. They've stopped using QR codes, which is a good thing, but after your order is taken, it takes at least fifteen minutes to get anything, even if it's just a simple beer and you're sitting next to the bar.

Superb service. I'm amazed. We feel incredibly well taken care of. The patio heaters are turned up full blast and we're enjoying our cigars. Fantastic.

I'm sad to write this review; I always enjoy it here, but today was a disaster. I waited 45 minutes for a beer and was finally told the keg couldn't be replaced. They then asked if I wanted another, waited another 15 minutes, and the same result. The beer you wanted is gone... They then asked if I wanted a special beer or another draft beer, fine then. Another 10 minutes later, the server arrived (without a drink) and asked if we'd come to the counter to pay extra. We waited an hour in total, and then they made a fuss about an extra 2 euros... Absolutely unacceptable. I love the service, but the person who served us today was incredibly rude. With pure hatred and no empathy in her eyes, she told us, "Apologies, but we're busy, what do you want?" Unbelievable. Linda or Lydia, I hope you'll think twice about hospitality and human values ​​in the future.

After a tiring day at school, we were ripped off at this place by ordering a small vase and an amaretto cassis, which cost us €13.90, €5 more than the price listed on the menu. We'll never be back.

This is, of course, Arnhem's ultimate second-hand bar, and what a fantastic spot for a drink or a bite to eat. It's super cozy, there's plenty of conversation, and the service is friendly and efficient. A bit pricey, though.

We had a fantastic high wine with excellent food! We were served incredibly well by a young waiter! He was a super nice guy who explained everything in detail and really went the extra mile. He lived in the Spijkenisse district and was 20, that's all we know, but much love to you! You did a fantastic job!

We found the carpaccio salad rather meager, but still tasty. The oriental chicken bread was delicious. It was very busy, so we had to wait a long time, but we were informed about it.

Came in for late night food, the server did a great job and suggested a few other places to try. None were open so went back and had bar a snacks. It was very filling, good cocktails and really good staff.

Before the Iron Maiden concert, we enjoyed delicious food, excellent wine, and a great atmosphere. It was pouring rain when we left, and we were so grateful for the umbrellas we were given.

Please pay close attention to the difference between beer and 0.0 beer in the future. There should be no mistakes here! A family member with a Muslim background accidentally drank alcohol.

Food and Atmosphere was fine. We had 2 dishes that we couldn’t finish and asked to pack them up for take away. But the server threw it away. Understood it was by mistake but the food already took 30/40 minutes to get made and we didn’t had time to wait again for them to make it and we also didn’t get any computation.

Always a good place to visit for drinks and some nice food. Fan of their Dark n Stormy as well as the Moscow Mule. Cesar salad is quite nice and very full, always a good choice. Service depends on the amount of people they have, sometimes very speedy sometimes slow, but you can always use the QR to order.

We had a drink here. We ordered a bottle of chardonnay for 35 euros, but a premium bottle was charged without consulting us. When paying we also had to pay for several drinks (also from our neighbors), but we found this out in time. Too bad about the premium bottle, which was not communicated to us. And this was not changed when reported.

De aankleding was gezellig met goed zittende stoelen. Het personeel was zonder onderscheid vlot en uitermate vriendelijk en attent. De menukaart was bescheiden waar de standaard belegde broodjes werden overgelaten aan de collega’s in de buurt. Het brood met avocado resp. de kalfskroketten was royaal opgemaakt en smaakte heerlijk. Kortom: uitstekend voor de lunch.

Wollte eigentlich nur schnell etwas Essen und ein Bier trinken. Empfang sehr “kühl” dann mal 10 min niemanden erwischt obwohl nichts los ist, Bier bestellt, für Englische Speisekarte auf die Homepage verwiesen.. no prob wenn denn da eine wäre. 10 min später mein Bier bekommen aber keiner an einer Essens Bestellung interessiert… ok, nachdem es auch nicht einladend aussieht versuche ich jetzt mal zu zahlen… wird schon irgendwann klappen.

Ordered 4 drinks. Had to wait 35 minutes. The non-Dutch speaking waitress is also very arrogant. Not worth repeating.

Went in the afternoon, the weather outside was bleak, inside it was nice and warm, despite the fact that it is a big place. Cozy atmosphere, the drinks platter was good. Nice waiting staff. Definitely recommended. We will have dinner there soon.

Unfortunately a disappointment. No personal service (ordering + immediate payment via a QR code, no one else at the table), after which it could easily take more than 20 minutes before a drink arrived on the table. Starter and main course arrived at the table at the same time, when we asked why we didn't get a starter first and then a main course, the answer was that we should have told the runners (unfortunately, we asked them to bring us a drink plus didn't see the food). Pasta was undercooked, steak tartare bland in taste. Had to ask if empty glasses and plates could be taken away. Price and quality are absolutely out of proportion.

Het cafe heeft een mooie sfeer, met al die roodverlichtje pareltjes aan het plafond rondom de hele bar. Het personeel is kordaat en het eten was goed. Mensen van alle leeftijden komen er.

Very nice help from a blonde girl with a real Arnhem accent, she did this really nicely and we felt very comfortable. We really enjoyed ourselves. I found the menu a bit lacking in terms of normal dishes. So I chose a vegan pita. This was really delicious and it didn't taste vegetarian at all. Which I actually liked. Delicious wine, the waitress's favorite was the Pinot Gricio, so I drank it on recommendation, both this and the Chardonnay were really delicious I would definitely come back here

Have been coming to Café Arnhem for years, always super organized. The kitchen is really a big compliment! If you go here for dinner you will get more than your money's worth.
