Dudok Arnhem in Centrum

nice staff, but very noisy when crowded. Everybody seems to need to raise their voice to overcome the noise of all the other people present. Would suggest to improve acoustics.

Friendly staff, crowded and noisy place. The mulled wine was lukewarm, and we had to pay €10 per glass for it. In our case, very poor value for money.

It's a unique place. But inside, the tiles make it feel a bit chilly. That's a matter of taste. However, the reverberation of all the sound is too much. You can barely hear each other. Even in a historic building, that's something you can certainly do something about. Ordering, despite the presence of staff, is done via a QR code. A runner puts it down without saying a word and disappears again. Upon leaving, you have to search for someone to pay. You don't do that immediately upon ordering. Well, I experience better connectivity and service at the average Gastgood chain. Average chance, because it's a beautiful store with beautiful products.

A lovely place for lunch; the Croque Caprese is delicious and definitely recommended. It's relatively quiet inside, and outside offers a beautiful view—both are always a good option. The staff is also friendly and considerate of allergies and other requests.

Nice bar restaurant smack in downtown Arnhem next to the Eusebius church's entrance. Effective bar menu type dishes throughout the day.

We regularly pop in for a cup of coffee and share a cake. Friendly service. It's great that part of the terrace is also smoke-free. Dudok is always a pleasure to visit. Also for lunch or dinner, a delicious satay.

The food was okay. However, the tables needed to be wiped down more often; everything was sticky. The service was friendly, and English was sufficient. If you wanted another drink, you had to wait a long time for someone to respond. The prices were reasonable.

I come here often for coffee and cake, and I usually have a great experience. From the cafés I've tried in Arnhem they have the biggest variety of cakes, and all of them are really tasty. I especially love their Black Velvet cake. The coffee is great too. The only bad experience I had was when I ordered chai tea and it had so much cinnamon it I couldn't drink it. The service is also friendly.

Nice spot on the terrace. I had the vitello tonnato and it was delicious. My partner thought the fried eggs were a bit disappointing in size. Delicious homemade iced tea!

Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed but the apple pie (with whipped cream) was delicious!

A beer garden in Arnhem is great. One minor drawback is that the promised half-liter of wine was "only" 0.3 liters.

Today I had a wonderful time in the beer garden at Dudok. It was super cozy! Good glasses of wine and beer, and great service! Definitely recommend.

Went there tonight, what a disgrace. Tables covered in birds' shit. German beer was impossible to order. Schnitzel was small and very overcooked. Side of fries for €17.50. Absolutely no atmosphere. Get it right or quit. I'm done with it. A friendly waiter, though, with long dark hair.

Top location, with a beer garden, lovely terrace, and courtyard, something for everyone. We had a great opening with music, jugglers, and a great atmosphere! Fantastic location!

At Dudok Arnhem, they've come up with the absurd idea of turning part of the terrace into a "beer garden." The problem is that the main terrace (where most people sit!), located in front of the building, is being treated to blaring oompah music. What a disgrace this decision by Dudok! We quickly finished our drinks and fled. What a sham! Dudok wouldn't even consider doing that in Amsterdam or The Hague.

In the summer there are no fans or air conditioners, so it is stuffy. It is noisy and the tables are so close together that you feel no privacy.

We found the food very mediocre! Lacked a bit of creativity and it wasn't exceptionally tasty. Service on the other hand was super friendly!

A beautiful city with so much to offer. The history behind it gave me a bit of a stomach ache. Hospitality and good humor are a top priority; highly recommended.

Thought I would have a nice and tasty lunch with my daughter.... A very large restaurant with about ten occupied tables... nothing wrong with that... Old tables and chairs with even older and not exactly clean floors...uhmm. do it or don't do it🤔.... decided to stay because you never know what else you will miss.... Now I knew.... First of all...the service was friendly and they did their job well...(sorry..., no tip was given... it's thanks to the manager) The menu looked nice... chose something that represents the business... acts as a kind of calling card... otherwise you wouldn't call the dish, it seems to me.... DUDOK SMASHBURGER!! Wow, that sounded like something to me...a double burger for €17.50!!! That must be the best.... OMG...🤭!! I know that times have changed and everything has become much more expensive and that sometimes you have to ask for a lot with shame on your face because you have no choice... but this really hit everything!!! A small lousy sandwich with two slices of paper-thin, dry-fried slices of meat in between, which were supposed to represent hamburgers...with two slices of tomato and two slices of cheese and a few strings of fried onion served with two slices of bacon for €2.00 extra and some fries with sauce for €4.00 extra... So together € 23.50... Then you are better off at Mac with a Big Mac menu for €8.50!!! Just be normal...If you ask 17.50 for just a hamburger sandwich...then present one too And very striking... after a series of bad reviews, I suddenly received several 5 stars within a week🤫. I think you would benefit more from honest feedback...so here it is.

Very nice place to have lunch, dinner or simply have a drink. I am now doing an injustice to the pastries, because that is also definitely worth it. If you go to Arnhem, this place is a must visit.

Long wait for the waiter to come and help you. Food (in our case lunch) was tasty. Modern industrial decor. Very noisy due to high ceilings.

On my wife's 50th birthday I decided to eat a delicious cake here. Clearly ask in advance for a cozy place, not near the toilet or outside door. And you guessed it: the most unpleasant table right in front of the entrance. Things didn't get much better after that. The service was okay, but the glasses could have been a bit cleaner. The Grimbergen Blonde had fallen completely dead before he had reached the table. A short afternoon cost around EUR 70, which was also not easy. Dudok is a beautiful, stylish business, but the service and quality could really be better.

Luxuriously decorated hamburger that was unfortunately almost raw on the inside. Got a second attempt, but then we were allowed to go after sauce and cutlery ourselves again. People seemed to find us especially difficult. Nice place but would eat elsewhere

Not so long ago I had the opportunity to take a seat at Dudok. In full expectation I thought I would get a delicious cocktail but despite that it was not true. At Dudok, instead of them making a real cocktail for you; you as a guest get a cocktail from a box (probably something like Huys bottles). This is not a cocktail but a shit-tail (sorry for the language). To take a seat in such an establishment and then get a disgusting 'cocktail' is crazy. I advise everyone who reads this review not to take their 'cocktails'. This is a disgrace for mixologists.

Ordered the Eggs Dudok (poached egg) with spinach, salmon (supplement) on a brioche with hollandaise sauce. You really had to look for 3 leaves of spinach, salmon and only 1 egg! (For €18.50) Which was then hard (a poached egg needs 3 to 4 minutes max.). Fortunately, a very sweet, understanding waitress who immediately said that we could order something else. To the chefs… I hope this was a one-time “mistake.”

Unfortunately, things are not getting better for Dudok. I was also there a few months ago, when the food was disappointing, this time the service noted a drink but did not bring it and treated it indifferently. There are also no newspapers on the table on Sunday (today): “maybe they have been thrown away”. I decided to leave the business and not come back this time for much longer. Where has the Dudok of yesteryear gone? Putting the staff in a new outfit doesn't help...

Great meal: 12 hours, vegetable croquettes with bread, 2 cups of tea and smoothie. Everything tasted great. Set up on a grand scale, it doesn't make the atmosphere cozy or anything.

Our experience was disappointing. The customer friendliness was lacking and we heard confusion and complaints about our order/table.

Location/beer/food was perfect! Not so with the company. But you can't do anything about that :)

February 21, 2025. Had a great seat, everything is fine now. So 5 stars. (Last time - A bit of a shame, ordered ice tea. Was a ready-made bottle instead of fresh ice tea myself. Wasn't asked by the waiter either.)

Beautiful place, looks a bit fancy

In the heart of Arnhem, and in a nice location, this place has quite extensive catalogue of drinks and food. In my opinion it has the best appletaart in Arnhem! The staff are friendly and fast most of the time. The atmosphere is nice and spacious with artistic pieces on the walls. The only negative that I can think of is that it's quite pricey.

Have a drink and a drink before Toto's concert. Cozy atmosphere but busy. Gluten-free (Celiac disease) slightly less well regulated

I like coming to Dudok, I prefer to sit at the reading table with a view of the Eusebius Basilica. Read the newspaper, have a beer...pure enjoyment. There is regularly an exhibition and then I walk around this atmospheric Grand Café...Experience it for yourself!

Dudok remains Dudok 😂 the same interior and actually the same menu for 16 years. The apple pie is and remains great. I personally think they serve a fantastic cappuccino. Service is always top notch.
