Café de Kantelaar in Binnenstad

Nice place, but the middle-aged DJ has his mouth open JUST a little too often while spinning. It’s not exactly great for DJing this way, let's say xoxo.

Gerrit and his team run this party café with a lot of energy and passion for hospitality. Great music and a great atmosphere!

I recently had an unpleasant experience at this café. I brought a bottle of water, and there was no problem at all the entire evening. Only when the café started to fill up did a staff member come over and confiscate my bottle of water, claiming it wasn't allowed to bring your own "drink," which I understand, of course. What makes this story different is this: I explained that I had the bottle with me because I was taking medication, but they showed absolutely no empathy. It's shameful that a café shows so little understanding of a customer's health. A café that behaves this way towards its customers is, in my opinion, not recommended.

Acceptable place for a drink and a dance. There are lockers, but you will need to have some loose change.

By the way, I couldn't get in, apparently a photo was taken of me during an argument/drama around the corner, which made the security guard think we wouldn't let him in. I have seen that photo myself and it clearly states that I had nothing to do with that argument / drama. Oh yes, and if you want, DO NOT bother asking the security guards because they don't take you seriously and when you talk they laugh more and more. Nice professional man!

Leuke hitjes werden er gedraaid. Maar wel een verzoek om minder harde muziek te draaien. Ook jammer dat dit niet kon worden aangepast toen er door verschillende mensen was gevraagd.

Gezellig café waar ze niet te veel mensen binnenlaten waardoor het gezellig blijft!
