What is happening here at Café De Karseboom is no longer just a “nuisance,” but pure contempt for the entire neighborhood. Night after night, the street is taken over by screaming, disrespectful patrons, and absolutely nothing is being done to curb this. No decent door policy, no enforcement… absolutely nothing. Residents are apparently just left to fend for themselves while their night’s rest is systematically disturbed by your shitty establishment. In fact, if that place is open at night, the phone simply isn't answered. So you can't even reach anyone while the nuisance is taking place at that very moment. Meanwhile, outside, it repeatedly escalates into arguments and fights. It is downright selfish to show absolutely no regard for the night’s rest of others (which Petershof does). Perhaps it only becomes clear how frustrating this is when someone is screaming right outside your door while you are dead tired and just want to sleep. The mess left behind is filthy: urine, vomit, empty bottles, and trash right outside your door. And as if that weren't enough, residents' bicycles are being vandalized, kicked over, thrown around, and dumped in the middle of the street, causing damage. Are you going to come and clean this up too? No way, let the neighborhood do it, because you only think about money. This is disrespectful and totally unacceptable. Take responsibility.

Do you live near Café De Karsenboom? Congratulations! You are involuntarily in the VIP zone of the longest running noise festival in Baarn. Every weekend, until about five o'clock (because why would anyone sleep?), you are treated to living proof that alcohol and common sense are each other's natural enemies. The pub itself seems like an average local pub at first glance, but as soon as it gets dark it turns into a kind of open-air afterparty with the volume turned up to "I don't give a damn about anyone". Screaming youngsters, pounding music, and conversations that usually start with "BROOOO" and end in vomiting... right in front of your door. My garden has been used as a toilet more often than an average public toilet. The sidewalk? A free exhibition of what happens when you fill your body with booze, shawarma and regret. But the best part is yet to come: if you try to say something about it, you will not get any understanding. No, you will get a big mouth back from someone in an overpriced coat with an oversized ego who thinks that you, as a resident, are ruining their party. Because of course it is your fault that you are not cheering at 3:30 when they piss on your front door. And where are the police? The municipality? Nobody knows. Maybe they themselves are knocked out at the Karsenboom, because reporting has so far had as much effect as shouting into the wind. You will get a friendly email back with "we are looking into it", but in the meantime you have to sweep up the remains of other people's youth every morning. Conclusion? Café De Karsenboom is not a café. It is a free night festival with a pee break on your doorstep, live performances by 'Dronken Giel & De Grote Muilen' and a daily surprise in your garden. Fun? Only for the regulars. For the rest of the neighbourhood: put in earplugs, close the windows, get a bucket ready. Tip to the municipality: give this place a ribbon, or better yet: a fence around it. For safety. And for the night's rest of the people who still have to work the next day.

Due to a lack of self-awareness and a lack of a better alternative, I spent a lot of time in this place as a young person. I experienced many things here for the first time. For example, as a sixteen-year-old, I received my very first unintentional punch. Right on the nose. Awesome! Another time, I felt splashes on my left leg because someone next to me was peeing on the bar. Awesome! Upon arrival, I almost always regretted it immediately, but after being completely captivated by the staff's enthusiasm, it quickly became a 4:30 p.m. The bouncer also knows exactly what he's doing. I once wanted to sneak in to skip the line, but an expert knee-jerk reaction and some pretty nasty words taught me that it's best not to do that. It's great that we can still communicate directly with each other these days. I don't like all that cautious stuff. Finally, I want to say that this place is more than just a pub. It's a place where everyone comes together: young and old, rich and poor, short and tall. Here, you can be yourself. There's often a bit of arguing, though. At least when I'm there, but I applaud that because it's how you get to know each other quickly. A well-deserved five stars!

Obnoxiously loud customers at night. Screaming customers through the streets at 2am, very disrespectful of their surrounding neighbours.

So much noise, completely oblivious to the fact that people live around the building! 16-year-old kids are peeing on cars, snorting in a corner, or messing around!!! It's time to get going!!!! Open until 2:00 AM and then it's done!! And the music needs to be turned down!!! I'm dreading the summer!

Causes a lot of nuisance to the neighborhood. Youth standing outside the pub shouting until 4am and the "security" does little or nothing.

Just got a satay + homemade fries + cheese sticks. Didn't find it very hot, chicken thigh very greasy, sauce delicious. It's strange that you now (temporarily??) have to order at the bar.

Owner tries very hard (in a good way) and also has a few nice beers in addition to the predictable Heineken beer list. Nice interior, terrace is a little less. Great place to stop
