Review from 2023: My daughter with a vocational education (MBO) education was not allowed in.

Last month I put out a call for that sweet Bianca, but to no avail. Last Friday, I finally went back to see what happened at Cafe de Kneus and had another fantastic evening. After three drinks, I could already feel the butterflies in my stomach, and there were plenty of fun, spontaneous, and ambitious women. I think I must have stumbled upon a carnival night, because the woman I took home turned out to be in costume. There's a first time for everything, I guess. Cafe de Kneus, thank you so much for another fantastic evening!

Not recommended. We were wrongly denied entry. The security guard was incredibly rude. He loves his position of power and abuses it. Extremely unprofessional. Terrible man.

If you really want to get rid of your coat, this is a nice tent to visit

MBO students are rejected! People we desperately need in this society! Don't go! Moreover, most HBO and WO students are not that smart. It's about drinking and drinking. Live with mom and dad for a long time or have your student room paid for by your parents. They are too naive and gullible. When they leave school straight away, they know the theory and cannot make anything themselves. That is the moment when an MBO graduate says; that is 1000 euros per day for the work. hahaha

Hi, we were definitely not allowed in with three friends. The guard was quite unfriendly to women and constantly said "goodbye", without talking to us. After this we started talking to the guard and he called us filthy whores. This is very inappropriate. We expect more from the guy, since we come several times a week!!!

Lives up to its name, if not 2022, to only aim at a certain audience, distinction is really annoying, what a bastard that owner.

Great student pub! Good atmosphere, without arguers. Funny all those reactions from MBO students below, because they also want to get in!! Open your own pub, where everyone (really everyone) can come in. Let's see how fun it will be...

Would love to come there. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Conviviality at its best.

One of the only bars in Utrecht where you can go dancing on Friday evenings as an 18-year-old, unless you are in secondary vocational education apparently. You have to show your student card at the door, but when we finally got to the front after waiting in line for half an hour, it turned out that an MBO student card was not good enough. "because the MBO people and HBO/WO people don't mix very well." What a ridiculous policy.

Made a reservation and received perfectly tapped beer very quickly after ordering. Very satisfied. Highly recommended.

Jokingly, we said that we would only go in if they had bitterballen. Security outside then got us free bitterballen from the snack bar across the street. Awesome! 😂

Personally, I don't like it much, but I would rather go to the club than to the pub. My fellow students, on the other hand, always end up in trouble so they must be doing something right! 😃

What self-respecting pub doesn't have ice or lemon for drinks? Then you can really call yourself 'the loser'

Great place to go out, normal catering prices so ridiculously expensive.

The doormen at the door are very difficult. You will not be allowed in without a student card from an Utrecht educational institution. The cafe itself didn't have much to offer that set it apart from other cafes. You can hardly put your coat without it ending up on the floor, getting dirty and lost. The music also does not suit every audience: several songs with offensive lyrics were played.

The women's toilet is really dirty and the staff was quite rude.

You have to love it.. The music is mainly radio and some EDM and the audience are mainly students of union.

Cozy Café, had a super fun evening some time ago! Good prices, nice employees and good music & atmosphere!

A student café as it was meant to be! Delicious bad hits, great bad drinks, and it's always full! Toilets leave something to be desired, but you can't complain about that at a pub.
