Great cafe for a cozy evening. Includes a delicious meal.

Went here for a special occasion with a group of 10. Unfortunately, we were very dissapointed. Our order was wrong multiple times and we had to wait for more than 1,5 hours …. when we complained they were not helpful or hospitable at all. very dissapointed but the food we did get was not bad. luckily the people I was with made up for it xx Russell

Lovely place with a cozy outdoor terrace! De Wijnhaven is one of those places right in the center of Delft, but not too crowded!

I recently had lunch here with a friend. The food itself was good, but on the terrace, I was constantly bothered by wasps. They landed on my food and wouldn't leave. This made me not want to eat my food anymore. I finally went inside and reported it to the staff. Unfortunately, the staff reacted indifferently and were very unfriendly. This made for a rather unpleasant afternoon.

Settled on a busy corner, this café is made for those who love to watch the world go by. We enjoyed a spread of dishes: smoked salmon, and pastrami sandwiches, a tomato soep, Korean fries, and the daily bread with shrimp kroketjes — each one fresh, and generously portioned. The staff was warm and efficient. The terrace, while offering a fantastic view of city life in motion, comes with a slight tilt and wobbly tables, making it better for a quick lunch stop than a long, lazy afternoon.

Great food, friendly staff. What struck us was the lack of company attire. No T-shirts, and no dress code either. So, short skirts, crop tops, and all sorts of things were there, but not properly dressed.

Iced capuccino is served out of a can, without warning and unable to be changed. Great location, rude staff (not the waitress)

We've been here for drinks twice. The first time was great: a nice terrace, friendly girls working outside... However, when we went a second time, we heard the man behind the bar shouting loudly at a customer who said he'd gotten the wrong order. We don't know who was right, but when we hear someone shouting outside, we find this unacceptable. (Even though the customer was saying this in a normal tone of voice.) We thought this was a real shame, because the first time, it was a pleasant café.

Cozy and beautiful old café... first we sat outside on the terrace and then inside. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with friendly staff who exude a cheerful and cheerful atmosphere with a keen chat and know how to work. The food was delicious and there was a great "Uiltje" on tap. It could have been a bit colder, but otherwise, it was excellent. When we return to Delft, we will definitely be back.

This proved to be an excellent choice for a recent lunchtime visit. Despite being incredibly busy, the experience was remarkably smooth thanks to their quick and organized service. It's clear the staff here are masters of efficiency! The menu offered plenty of choice, catering to various tastes. A definite highlight was the hot dogs – absolutely amazing and so tasty! In fact, everyone at our table thoroughly cleaned their plates, a testament to the delicious food. What truly set Café De Wijnhaven apart, however, was the super friendly and accommodating staff. One of our party was celiac, and despite the bustling atmosphere, the team had no problem repeatedly checking with the kitchen about gluten-free options. Their patience and dedication to ensuring a safe and enjoyable meal for everyone, even when swamped, was genuinely impressive. If you're looking for a delicious lunch in Delft with fantastic service, even during peak hours, Café De Wijnhaven comes highly recommended.

A very cozy place to be together and drink and eat, watch the most diverse types of people from all over the world, I always get a pleasant "I'm at home here" feeling. Today September 15th lovely sunny day monument day, ate nachos and drank a beer! Many days lucky with the nice weather nice sitting on the terrace, fast service and a nice chat with the staff! Lovely weather nice drinking a cup of coffee on the terrace, Sara enthusiastically working behind the bar.

Had a nice evening here for the 20th anniversary of our karate club, with various guests from outside Delft. Everyone thought it was a cozy cafe with good food and drinks. The Wijnhaven staff was also flexible in the preparation. Top experience!

I absolutely adore this place and its staff. They really made the experience of having drinks here. They were on the ball (took our drinks/order very seriously), checked up on us often and had a good laugh with us! I'm very excited to come back here, and even planning to choose this place for my birthday celebration! P.s, the cocktails are absolutely to DIE for!

I went there with my family, they seemed to like it, but I have something to say. First, they forgot to break the fried potatoes, it's not terrible, but we had a small child and she was waiting for her. I can also say a plus, we couldn't choose what to order, the waitress helped us make a selection, she was friendly and treated the child well. The food took a long time to cook, it was tasty and the portions were big, but the beef was a bit tough for me, but everything else was very tasty. There are blankets to cover yourself with, which is a huge plus. It's very windy there, and if it wasn't for them, we must have gone somewhere.

One of the many bars in Delft with an excellent drink selection. Many speciality beers on tap and bottle. Also some nice cocktail options. The atmosphere is cosy and the servers are friendly. The food is on par with your average pub, so nothing special but tasty nevertheless. There are some nice vegetarian options such as mushroom taco's.

Everything beautiful but really really too much expensive

Double feelings. Friendly service. As a place for students it is good. It was too noisy for me. Limited choice of wine, and what was served was only reasonable. If you want something to eat in peace, I would look further. We were there on Thursday evening, maybe it is quieter at other times.

We were a large group (12), so I don't know what it's like with less, but it was a very long wait. When it came some dishes were cold. The service was also mediocre, they didn't come around very often and only to one side of the table.

Came here for a birthday dinner last month! The staff was super friendly despite the fact that they had to handle an unpleasant guest at the table beside us, very professional. Best of all the mains were decently priced. One of the only places left in Delft that serves generously for a reasonable price tag - reason enough to come back! A big thank you to all the staff who were on that night :)

Lovely place, food is average. Spare Ribs were just alright. Onion soup had a lot of spices which i ddnt like. The flat bread was ok. The ambience is nice, recommend for drinks. Food not that impressive

Very small portions you get here, a Mexican sandwich and a sandwich of the week (Pulled chicken) amounts to a pita bread filled with chicken and sauce and the Mexican sandwich turns out to be (it seems) half a sandwich cut in half/ folded, that together with 2 drinks for 28.50 :-/

Excellent meal, excellent service. So 4 stars. Unfortunately the dish of the day was gone, but we didn't notice that. Update September 6: service and food have deteriorated slightly, which we notice in more restaurants. Still highly recommended because of the combination with the atmosphere. Update June 29: service and food were good again. So add a few stars.

Charming location right on the canal. It's lovely to sit outside in the summer! The food is solid and the service is very friendly. However, during our visit it was apparently understaffed for the large number of visitors in the outdoor area and therefore there were long waiting times until we were served!

First of all, the food and atmosphere are good and the staff are friendly. My colleague had French fries with Korean sauce and the taste was very new and great. They gave us bread before eating, and the three musketeers they spread on it were absolutely delicious and the bread was freshly baked. If you don't get a good seat, you have to sit on a sloping place, which is a bit disappointing.

A proper pub with good Dutch beer. Food is burgers, hotdogs etc (still looking for somewhere to get moules and Flemish stew). Situated in the historic old part of Delft.

I went to a professional dinner at this restaurant. The group was upstairs, which made the space quite noisy. The dishes (starter, main course and dessert) were delicious, especially the vegan dishes (the brownie is undoubtedly one of the best I have tried so far). On the other hand, the preparation was very long because we had to wait more than an hour between each course (I think there were not enough staff to serve the customers and the group). Nevertheless, the staff did their best to accommodate our needs and were always welcoming and helpful.

Cozy place but what meager portions. We had to check the menu to see if we had accidentally ordered 3 starters. Even with large fries, all 3 of us left hungry

Perfect place for lunch and beer. Large portions. Surprising combinations. We had the Club Sandwich and the BLT; with delicious spicy sauce. Fresh, crispy rolls. Delicious specialty beers, such as the Rye of Fire from Het Uiltje, on tap. Good service. And the prices are modest.

Cozy location to meet up with a friend. Cheerful, friendly service. The food was excellent, especially dessert: cinnamon rolls with ice cream and whipped cream!
