A nice and cozy restaurant in Delft with a pleasant ambiance. The menu is not too large, which keeps things simple, though it’s fairly similar to what you’d find at other places. That said, the food was good and enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with friendly and welcoming staff. It’s also easy to find, which is always a plus. Overall, a relaxed and pleasant dining experience!

Food is bland and boring, and they don’t have most things listed on the menu. Wait staff were incredibly snippy and impatient- demanding were know what we want, sighing “more time, then?…” without even offering us menus.

Great location, fast service. We arrived before noon and were able to order, and the food arrived at noon. Plenty of attention was given when our glasses were empty. The price-quality ratio is also excellent, and for a Friday lunchtime, the place was packed.

Excellent place to be truly in the heart of Delft. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere very welcoming. I used a Social Deal coupon for a 3-course menu at 30 EUR, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

I had a terrible carpaccio sandwich. The carpaccio was really bad. The meat had a creamy, buttery aftertaste. This means the meat was out of date or past its sell-by date. I reported this to the staff, but they reacted arrogantly and denied it. It simply wasn't true. Nothing was done about my complaint, and I had to pay the full price. The arrogance of the staff was actually the worst part, and they didn't believe me. I'll never go to De Sjees again. Terrible.

Unfortunately, their partners do NOT pay out... then no one can be reached and when you ask for the person in question, the person is always ''too busy''... unfortunately time for a collection agency.

My partner and I enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace. It was still on the chilly side but it was nice. The service was excellent and the food and drinks were delicious.

Nice location directly behind the Nieuwe Kerk. Neatly prepared lunch that was prepared after not a long wait and served by friendly employees. Ordered a fairly large crispy chicken BBQ burger, almost a whole chicken fillet with tasty sauce, salad and crispy corn bread. You can last a whole afternoon if you want to visit Delft, go shopping in the nice shops in the center or take a long city walk.

The current owner has created a really nice atmosphere. Recommended

Absolutely great, we ate cod with stir-fry vegetables and delicious fries with a friend, and the home-made ice cream was also special, a good consistency with a nice taste. Highly recommended 😘

Today was our first time in this restaurant. We come in, sit down and wait and wait and wait. 15 minutes and none of the service staff consider it necessary to wish a guest a good day and serve him. Even though the whole place was empty, just ei. Couple of guests at the counter. Bad luck, lost another guest and made no sales. I would advise the owner to look for better staff. In any case, these employees do not deserve to be called service staff.

My wife, daughter, and I all stopped in to escape the rain and get some late lunch/early supper. The food was incredible, the wait staff friendly, and the atmosphere was impeccable. I'd go to Delft just to eat here.

A cozy restaurant in the very center of the city for a drink and a snack.

Very nice place inside with friendly staff. We were 6 people but no longer saw a large table, no problem, something was immediately arranged for us. We had lunch here and it was very good. I opted for a club sandwich and it was really delicious. My son enjoyed the Kids menu with poffertjes and he also found them delicious. In short, definitely recommended.

Waited 1 hour for service. Food was good when it came but fries with the burgers and rice with the saté are not included. 16 euro for 2 skewers kipsaté is a bit pricey without rice.

Vandaag weer eens de Sjees bezocht. In de tijd van Vincent echt altijd “thuis komen” .Men had nu geen bokbier (vreemd voor deze tijd van het jaar) en de geserveerde Affligems van de tap waren te koud en zonder schuim. En dat voor €6 per glas. Bediening bestaat uit hele jonge en weinig ervaren en betrokken mensen. Jammer. Voor ons geen Sjees meer.

Nice place for a beer but as it got busier the service got a bit overwhelmed. I waited it out and things soon got back to normal. Hopefully this is just as things get so busy. Other than that a well priced beer in a nice location. Thanks

Culinary dinner at De Sjees. As a starter, carpaccio as never tasted before, main course cod with sweet potato puree, leek, bacon and garlic sauce (delicious!), followed by a raspberry sundae with white chocolate mousse, mango jam, crispy tuille and chervil. And this as a three-course menu. Friendly staff, highly recommended and compliments to the chef!

Friendly service and a promising menu, but the kitchen lacks quality and any passion and attention. Pork belly overcooked, served drearily with too much sauce and weak garnish, the cod was overcooked and the pepper sauce with the meat was downright bad. The 'vegetables' with various dishes apparently came from a bag of nasi/bami vegetables. Actually downright disappointing. We were given a cup of tea as compensation. Missed opportunity.

Great place to eat together! Very hospitable. We had reserved the room upstairs for 10 people for a farewell ceremony. Perfect care, everything was possible and allowed. TV for a presentation for photos, videos. Own music. We were respectfully left alone and served lovingly and very neatly at the right times. The food was good. Price-quality ratio absolutely good. Thank you for this wonderful afternoon. Recommended!

Service was so great! Everyone we spoke to was friendly and pleasant! The food was delicious. We had the chicken sandwich, salmon baguette and chicken satay. Each one tasty and large! Also delicious poffertjes for the little one (3 years old) we had with us and the staff was also so sweet with him <3 Atmosphere 1 point less because sometimes a car passed through the narrow street (nothing you can do about it, but still something to take into account) Overall great XD and the iced coffee alone is worth it!!!

We went there to watch Euro 2024 match of Netherlands and we will be there back again! The service quality was great even everywhere was full. They never missed an empty glass or plate. They continued to serve snacks during the game which was cool. Prices are affordable. And chicken crisps was great!

Very friendly staff and great food. Pretty fast service as well. Had the bagel with salmon which I absolutely loved. Definitely worth its money.

Super friendly service, the prices are in line with the quality. It is located on the hot spot. We had the Delft Bitterballen with a tasty Aperol and local beers. Definitely a nice location for dining or just drinking.

Food good enough but there was over an hour wait between starters and our main courses being delivered (arrived at 1830 so they weren’t that busy). Waitress didn’t realise there was an issue until we complained so I suspect she hadn’t put the order through properly. Disappointing.

Nice place with friendly staff, nice beers and snacks, but the food is downright disappointing. The chicken burger was nicely served but turned out to be a tasteless rubber disk of frozen chicken without sauce or any kind of seasoning or flavor. So tasteless that we asked whether a vegetarian disc or something else had been accidentally reserved. We ultimately sent it back because it was far below par. Instead we got the sateh, but unfortunately here too a frozen semi-finished product with a meaningless peanut sauce. Given this location, prices and reputation, you can expect something to be served at a high standard. Not for us anymore!

Nice place to sit! Unfortunately, we did not receive any cutlery or napkins with our lunch. It took a while before there was someone we could ask again. Finally, I went inside to pay because no one came outside. It also looked nice and attractive inside.

You can always have a beer. Plenty on tap and plenty in the bottle. Then you will soon be a good cafe 😉

Great service, food took a little longer and cooled down a bit

The three of us ate at a much too small table in the Sjees shop window. Very simple menu, even for a cafe: carrot with onion and cod. I thought it was reasonable, a dinner companion liked it.

Nice place with local delicatessen. There is also home-made draft beer, which tastes good. Right behind the historic city hall, in the heart of the old town.

Eten was redelijk, zeker geen klagen voor een eetcafé. Was er wel erg druk en lawaaierig. Niet slecht maar heb wel beter meegemaakt in Delft.

It’s not just a cafe or bar, it’s a super cozy place with very nice meal. You can drink and eat very well. We were welcomed warm, and the servant found a table for two near the window with the view. Recommend (but better to book for the dinner).

Herrlich auf der Rückseite des Rathauses von Delft sitzen und leckeres Essen und Bier genießen - kannst Du im De Sjees. Hervorragendes Essen, gute Bierauswahl (mit dem eigenen Wit) und sehr freundliche und flotte Bedienung.

Locale carino, per una consumazione bar o anche per pranzo/cena informale. In una strada interna, fuori dal "traffico" delle vie più battute. Diversi tavoli all'interno e molti all'esterno sotto grandi ombrelloni.

10/10 que atención! Todo muy rápido, con esfera agradable, los cócteles increíbles. Tiene un buen menú mucha variedad, también tienen terraza. Seguro volveremos !

Super leuk plekje! Op Koningsnacht gegaan, ook al wilde we niet echt feesten or drinken. Genoten van de gratis concerten, en de bediening maakte het nog leuker. Vriendelijke en behulpzame heren in de bediening op deze avond, konden goed dingen aanraden en vonden het niet erg dat ik wat keuzestress had. Prijzen waren best goedkoop vergeleken met de concurrentie en de locatie! Zeker een aanrader. :D
