Great cafe. We rented the back room for a party. They made sure we were comfortable, and it was definitely affordable! Very flexible and friendly staff!

It was fun with the group, but the food was disappointing. Cold leek with your tagliatelle.

We had a great satay with the Chef's Dessert as a finale. Despite the crowds, the service was fast and efficient, courtesy of a super friendly lady who kept a close eye on everything. Excellent value for money. Not 5 stars because the men's restroom is in serious need of renovation.

A delicious, extensive meal, beautifully prepared, and affordable dishes. A delicious, changing daily special, tasty beers, and excellent wine for the price. Even on a Monday evening, it's cozy. Friendly staff. (I drank a lot, which made the bill a bit higher, but that's not the fault of the price of the drinks.)

A cozy café-restaurant where you can dine with larger groups. The service is friendly and good. A reasonably good selection of specialty beers. The salmon, chicken, and vegetarian curry from the group menu were all delicious and came out of the kitchen simultaneously for a group of 22.

A hidden gem in Delft, our best kept secret. Cafe de V offers high quality, classic dishes in generous portions and no fuss. The service is fast and attentive, and it's always a pleasure to dine outside on their boat terrace. Every last Sunday of the month they server their famous Sunday roast, the dish of the day changes each time but my favorite so far is the varkensrollade served with roasted vegetables, potatoes and a drizzle of wine jus. The pork was well marinated and the jus was on point, complementing the meat. I'd also recommend their beef steak and prime ribs, their meat dishes never disappoint. Do save some room for dessert, they make most of them themselves. My favorite so far is the stoogpeer tarte tatin, warm, spiced with cinnamon and other baking spices served with salted caramel ice cream. The creme brulee is also a twist on the classic with some bailey's in it. Highly recommend, a place that stood the test of time in Delft.

Very nice place to eat, drink or have a great groupparty. We went here with a large group of people to celebrate. We had really good service and they were serving pleanty of drinks. Absolutely love the food and I would really recommend going here when you are searching for a place to have drinks of a place to have diner.

After the walk we wanted to eat ribs and found this wonderful place. Having sat down we wanted to order dishes but it turned out that the restaurant kitchen opens at 17:30 and we had to wait another hour to order our main course but while we were waiting we ordered appetizers for the food. An hour later we finally ordered ribs and were amazed because they brought us 3 portions 2 pieces of delicious ribs with potatoes, salad and sauce. The food was delicious and we did not regret the time spent at all. Thank you! 🥰

Really slow, poor service, and mediocre food. Took 75 minutes from when we ordered for food to come out, when it finally did we then had to ask for silverware and napkins. Special “burger of the week” was off, toppings were fine but the patty was strange in texture and flavor. It’d be a fine place to get a drink if you just want to sit for a while, but for dinner you should go somewhere else.

Very cozy cafe, the look and feel of a brown cafe, with a living room feeling, charming owner and friendly staff, I have already set foot here many times in the past and will come back here soon!

The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. The food is hot and comes in generally large portions (when they sack "rack of ribs" they mean ALL of the ribs) Speed of service is also good.

An ordinary restaurant but not exceptional

Unfortunately only 2 tables occupied, which is not good for the atmosphere, but the service is very friendly and very attentive.

There was a live band playing when we visited, which added to the atmosphere, though it was pretty loud. Food was tasteful.

Been coming here for years. Affordable but good quality food! Often a place for students to eat, but also for all other people. Atmosphere and service are also good.

Previously you could always eat well here for decent prices. Nice atmosphere. However, it is a great pity that the prices on the menu have recently risen sharply and the service has only deteriorated in the last 3 visits. Also no more standard salads with main courses and if you ask for it, you will be charged 3.5 euros for a small bowl of coleslaw. Shame. Edit: tried again. Service staff is busier chatting and on the phone than helping people. After 25 minutes we asked if we could order something...

We went to eat some starters, specifically nachos and croquettes, everything was very delicious, with some pepsi. Soft atmosphere and there is plenty of space.

Had a nice relaxing meal with a group of 12 people. Excellent price-quality ratio. Unfortunately, not everyone had what they wanted (steak was gone). I ended up eating a hamburger myself, but I really enjoyed this one better (very dry). Service and atmosphere nothing to complain about. A pity was the very dirty and sticky sanitary facilities. Floor was very slippery.

Especially if there is live music, it is recommended for a casual drink and a little dance Edit 2024: sunday roast 10/10

Nice traditional brown pub, café restaurant. Popular among students and former students. Simple and delicious food in a vibrant atmosphere. Nice staff, mostly former students.

Although we have been in "de V" many times this was the first time we had eaten there, and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was plentiful, hot and excellent. Service was first class, as we have come to expect throughout the Town. Even though my partner wanted to "amend" a couple of things from the exact menu dish (sweet fries in place of traditional fries for example - she said that they were perfectly cooked btw) we had no problems. I can say without a doubt that we will be returning to "de V" next time that we are in Delft.

In terms of atmosphere, this was the only downside, but that is made up for by the good price-quality ratio and excellent service!

i came here with my dad. english and dutch speaking staff. blonde waiter super friendly and helpful he deserves a raise. his work is excellent even under stress he can manage just fine with a smile. no english drink menu. english food menu. Brand pilsner beer from 1340 I dont like alcohol AT ALL, not a fan, not a fan of beer. but that beer i love! its so decent and not even so strong but i would not order it, just took some sips. i wish they had long island on the menu. i wish they had wifi without password or password written on the menu. the chicken is amazing, they shouldve gives 2 baked potatoes. the sweet potato fries shouldve came without all that stuff on top, my Dad did not like it at all, they shouldve given a dip to it. some fries have sauce others dont.h My Dad requested to have the espresso brought WITH the dessert, but the request has not been fullfilled. But this has been the best cookie to the espresso ever. we got another espresso just because of the cookie the waffle is warm and way too sweet. the brownie cold

Great food, friendly staff, good service.. Definitely worth to try things out one time. Update: went back today.. O boy, was the "lunch proeverij" delicious.. the shrimps e.g. ever so subtle, a little spicy.. Top it off with a fine draught beer..Makes for an afternoont well spent!

The staff was forgetful and stressed, the mint was not fresh, the mint tea was lukewarm. And for that price. It wasn't busy. The place was only a third full and that was mainly our company. Happy pleasant company in a nice evening sun on this first warm spring evening.

Pleasant place, we sat on the boat on the river and enjoyed coffee and beer. They had a hard-working and friendly waiter who took care of us, we were sorry we couldn't stay for dinner because we weren't hungry. Prices were more reasonable compared to Amsterdam

Kom al kleine 14 jaar in de V, was altijd leuk, lekker en gezellig. Gisteravond na lange tijd weer eens gaan eten daar. Helaas veel veranderd ten nadele. Niet qua eten, dat was prima als altijd, maar qua bediening. Nog nooit werden we zo onvriendelijk ontvangen als gisteravond, in 40 jaar nooit meegemaakt. Altijd werden we joviaal begroet door de eigenaar, maar deze was er niet meer helaas. Wel stond er een kenau van een vrouw (kennelijk de manager nu) ons uiterst onvriendelijk te woord. Hier kom ik dus voorlopig niet meer, gelukkig zijn er in Delft nog zeker 100 andere leuke eettentjes. Wat een koude douche was dat.

Altijd goed. Zeker wanneer de terrasboot er ligt! Goede keuken en bediening voor een nette prijs.

Stopped off here for a beer and a coffee... Great food was a bonus, the spicy prawn starter was superb, had to ask for a spoon so that I didn't waste the sauce. Friendly staff and a great vibe to the place ! (on a Sunday).

Great food, too bad they dropped the duck from the menu. However the cheesecake brownie with ice cream is to die for 👌.

Ein Restaurant im historischen Zentrum von Delft an einer Gracht, außerdem gibts bei gutem Wetter draussen Plätze auf einem Kahn. Der Service war freundlich, etwas unsicher und muss bei einer Frage immer erstmal wo anders nachfragen, aber löste alle Aufgaben engagiert. Innen ist das Lokal einfach und gemütlich. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, aber nichts, was wirklich in Erinnerung bleibt. Wer "normal" Essen gehen will, wird sich dort wohlfühlen.

I had the cod with coconut rice. The cod had a strong taste of ammonia. This means the fish is old. My friend ordered the truffle pasta which was bland. The beer is good, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere was pleasant and chilled but the food was bad. Just really bad and whoever manages the kitchen needs training.
