What a fantastic place this is. The service is always great and friendly. They serve fantastic coffee, and the seating is wonderful. Inside and outside, there's a lot of cycling. And of course, Ajax is on when they play. Fantastic place.

Not the friendliest place on Earth - and I'm not an American, so I didn't have unrealistically high expectations. Food was okay and location is convenient for De Gooyer, but there's nothing else going for this place. We went there because all the other bars were full for lunch. The waitress tried to pass me a suspicious old, broken 10€ note with the change and wasn't too happy when I rejected it.

After waiting a few minutes for the waitress and asking if I could order, I gave up. It was a waste of time.

Terrible service! The woman who served us was terribly rude and stupid. We only asked about the pizza we ordered, and she started attacking us rudely, saying that food takes time, even though we had already waited 40 minutes. Not even delivery takes that long. Terrible place! Terrible service, especially from the woman who works there. You can see that several people complain about the same thing; they're very rude, and if you question anything, they'll attack you. We ordered a pizza and some beers. The pizza took over 40 minutes, which is unusual. So we asked: "Hi, could you please confirm if the pizza is okay?" Then the woman got very angry: "Oh, so you're hungry? Well, you'll have to wait. This isn't a restaurant, it's a bar." Me: "Okay, I'm sorry, I just wanted to know because it's taking a while." Her: "Food takes time, didn't you know? If you want to eat, you'll have to wait." She did all this in an angry, attacking manner; her and the establishment's attitude were unnecessary. Anyway, a terrible place. I don't recommend it to anyone. Avoid it if you can.

Nice view location viewing windmill and cannel but the food is not good ( hamburger too dry and bun too old) but service is good. If the food can be improved will be great

weird guy serving me, I asked for a burger and he asked me if I wanted something to drink, I said no, he replied "it's a bar, you have to drink something" and I was like "this guy is crazy". I'm the customer, I decide what I buy and what I don't, and that's why you lost a sale, genius. Anyway, I went to another restaurant where they sold me what I wanted without question, like a good business.

Came here for one beer and ended up staying for 6. Really friendly staff, great outdoor terrace with heaters, dog friendly space with Amstel on tap. Great music, nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

I had an amazing time in café d’Orst ! I felt at home, and the view on the canal and the windmill is stunning. The waitress with blonde hair knew all the beers and gave us good advice.

We stopped by chance for a coffee and ended up having lunch. The pizza and apple pie were super tasty. The waiter was very friendly and the place was very nice with beautiful views. Definitely recommend it.

Pleasant sitting by the water and the windmill with good beer and friendly service. I recommend it as a pleasant stop during a tourist exploration of this colorful city.

Just a mixed platter of snacks and something to wet our whistles. Interesting tasting food. Wish I'd had more, but needed to head off. The beer tasting selection looked good too

Last Saturday we celebrated our birthdays again at Cafe Dorst. We don't have room for it at home and in this pub you can easily have a party with 30 people. Excellent service and we lacked nothing. Also a nice terrace.

Friendly owners and staff. Reasonable prices(hard to find in Amsterdam these days). The lunch “broodjes” are by far the best value for money to be found in Amsterdam. Cosy heated terrace and in summer a beautiful, unique waterside seating area where it’s easy to forget you’re so close to the city centre. Plus a view of one of the few remaining windmills in the city.

We waren heerlijk aan het fietsen vanuit Volendam en het was het eerste café wat we tegen kwamen. Heerlijk op het terras gezeten, met een ipa en ijwit biertje (jaloers op het glas) lekkere burger gegeten, daarna nog wat tapas. Bediening was top, 2 leuke heren aan het werk. Wij komen nog eens terug.

Leuk cafe op een fijn plekje op de hoek. Aardig personeel en voelt nog als het authentieke Amsterdamse sfeertje.

Great place with chill vibes. Not pretentious, just a nice bar in the corner. They have an amazing Turkish sandwich with goat cheese, tomato tapenade and grilled vegetables. It is a big sandwich and very tasty. They also have a great diversity of beers and a lovely view. Highly recommend, but be patient in a sunny day, food might take a while and there is only one waitress to all tables

Heerlijk plekkie uit de wind vol in de zon, eigenaars werken hard en zijn altijd eerlijk. Hidden gem in oost!

Afgelopen zaterdag een bomvol terras en zo'n fijne bediening. Petje af want volgens mij liep deze vrouw helemaal alleen in de bediening. Ze had alles in de gaten en bleef super vriendelijk. Echt een horeca tijger! Dank je wel 🙂

In mijn ogen een echt Amsterdams verborgen pareltje met het beste uitzicht van de stad. De molen van brouwerij het IJ. De horeca tijger(in) die je bedient op het terras is een topper. Naar mijn mening mogen de borrelhappen wel nog iets verbeterd worden maarja, wel echt Amsterdams!!

Schöner Pub direkt am Wasser mit Aussicht auf die Windmühle Brouwerije t'IJ und die Grachtenkähne. Dazu gibt es große Heizstrahler damit man auch bei kaltem Wetter die Aussicht genießen kann. Kühles Bier, leckere Snacks und nicht komplett überlaufen.

Sono stata recentemente con amici e abbiamo avuto un’esperienza terribile. Era orario aperitivo quindi birre vino e i soliti snack. Niente di speciale e solito servizio mediocre, se non fosse che siamo stati trattati tutti malissimo dalla cameriera, decisamente la persona sbagliata per star dietro a un bar. Il posto dice di essere l’unico vero “Amsterdam bar” rimasto in città, che è una maniera socialmente accettabile per dire che se non siete olandesi di Amsterdam aspettatevi un trattamento di 💩 e anche di essere guardati un po’ male perché state “inquinando” la loro bella città. Fatevi un favore ed evitare questo posto, se camminate un altro po’ avete la Brouwerij, Louie Louie o Lola a 5 min a piedi.

Good alternative when Brouwerij t IJ is full. Terrace could use some more vibe, maybe some light chains, but 8t is nicely laid out in the sun in a Sunday afternoon. Staff is typical Amsterdam. Good choice of beers.

Fijn terras hier en als je geluk hebt zijn de tafels op de steiger vrij. Dan zit je wat verder weg van het verkeer en direct aan het water met zicht op brouwerij het IJ en bootjes die voorbij komen. Bijna een privé-tuin!

Prima tent in Oost. Goed concept (bar met kleine kaart) en een zeer degelijk terras. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Heerlijke plek met hele betrokken eigenaren. Lekkere bieren, wijnen en hapjes. Ze weten precies wie je bent en wat je drinkt. Echt kroegbazen!

Super aardige eigenaar! Denkt mee met de gasten en probeert het mooiste uit de avond te halen. Dikke 5 sterren voor deze top tent

Goed assortiment aan hier op tap. Niet de standaard soorten. Prima borrelhap en lunch beschikbaar. Vriendelijk en toegewijd personeel.

Wat een heerlijke plek. Top locatie in Amsterdam oost. Ook als je met de boot aan het varen bent!! Borrel kaart is top net als de speciaal biertjes van oa brouwerij t'ij. Kortom hier moet je geweest zijn!

Très bon emplacement. Vue agréable. La cuisine moyenne. Pizza est bonne, le reste à éviter.

Por lo general, no soy una persona tostada, ¡pero este lugar literalmente sirve la mejor tostada perfecta! todo está preparado y hecho a pedido, que estaba literalmente al lado del bar y pudimos ver cómo se prepararon opté por la tostada de salmón / queso / pepino (generalmente tengo esto en un bagel) pero era demasiado delicioso y el pan turco tostado y cortado PERFECTAMENTE! Buena ubicación como al lado del canal y vista del molino de viento instagrammable a través (: y a un precio razonable! Lo único que agregaría es quizás tener un mejor host / servidor. . . No sé si fue porque estaba sola pero parecía muy gruñona y muy poco acogedora (había 3 mesas, incluidos nosotros), nadie se quejó del tiempo de espera, ¡pero no fue muy amable!

Bien situado, buen trato, buenas cervezas y comida para todos los gustos. Las vistas son muy agradables.
