Café Faber in Wijk 01 Nijmegen-Centrum

Een leuk, gezellig café gelegen in het centrum van Nijmegen aan het Faberplein. Veel zitgelegenheid zowel binnen als buiten en een mooi interieur.

A very nice restaurant with super friendly staff. Unfortunately, due to a change in the kitchen, the wait times were so long that we ultimately had to cancel one of our ordered dishes. There was also a noticeable unpleasant odor in the truly beautiful bar area.

Super!! A fantastic location for the four-day event. Excellent service.

Uitsmijter was really very tasty for a great price. Bacon well fried and delicious thick artisan bread. Local beer Mannenpap IPA also very tasty. Waitress was also friendly and fast.

Café Faber is a beautiful city café on Faberplein. Very neat, attractive and nice location with, above all, very friendly and accommodating employee(s). We were there early in the morning, so we stuck to coffee and soft drinks. We saw on the price list that special beers (which we had never heard of) were available. Later in the evening probably a cozy brown pub. Open every day from 11am to 2am Van Broeckhuysenstraat 12-14 fact: The Van Broeckhuysen State is named after Knight Reyner van Broeckhuysen, the brave leader of the city defense against the attack of the Burgundians in 1473.

Ridiculously rude people here, very arrogant.

So after a nice bike ride, we settled down at this cozy drinks bar in the center of Nijmegen. Definitely worth it to come and enjoy it.

Café Faber is highly recommended! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and smooth service, even on a busy afternoon during Ajax - Feyenoord. Despite the crowds, we were helped quickly and with a smile. Management thinks along well and makes you feel welcome. The food was delicious and the wine excellent – ​​top value for money! We will come back here soon.

Just had a cup of coffee while shopping... we were the only ones in the shop and it took a while before someone came to take something for a drink, it was just busy with drinks and appointments that came in, that's why it took a little longer... but no problem

Rented a room and had lunch with a large group of students. We had very pleasant contact about organizing the lunch, everything is possible. The sandwiches were delicious!

Cameras in toilets are prohibited. Even if the cameras would contribute to improving safety for your guests. Privacy rules are violated with a camera in the toilet.

On the anniversary of Market Garden, treated like the plague. No coaster, no napkin. Calamares wasn’t bad. First glass of pinot was from old bottle. Place seems popular with locals. If you’re an older American, stay away.

When working in Nijmegen, this place was my favourite for a quick drink before going home the odd night during the week. great service, loads of beers on bottle and tap to offer and service was the best, in English and Dutch.

We immediately felt at ease. Tasty choice of beers (and whiskeys) and delicious snacks (could use a little more green). You should also go here.

Oh how nice on 01 01 2020 as one of the few cafes already open at 2.30 pm, lights on the terrace, bench heating and a free bubble drink. But today 17.11.21 the coffee was lukewarm and weak. Can't adjust the device for 2.70 euros people.

We were a party of 5. A friend asked if we could sit inside, and an employee immediately showed him to a table inside; after all, there was room for 5. The security guard initially said that we couldn't sit there, but we thought this was a joke, because our friend was already sitting at the table. Because we couldn't gauge the security guard very well and because he was blocking the door, we said we had to go to the toilet to be allowed in. The security guard said that if he saw us sitting at a table he would throw us out himself (in a very aggressive manner). Our friend waved from inside the tent for us to come sit and we were immediately chased out of the tent in a very aggressive and threatening manner. An unnecessarily big scene was made of it. Not only us, but also the employee was clearly shocked by his behavior and attitude. Faber is a place where we all like to come and we are therefore very shocked by the way we were sent out here. Next time we will sit somewhere else when this security guard is at the door...

Always visited when I'm in Nijmegen. Even though it's a pub, the pizza tastes so delicious that most delivery services can take a page from it. The people there are relaxed and sociable.
