We came for the puzzle tasting and had a delicious meal! The service was excellent; the staff helped us along the way and checked in with us regularly. A cozy café with friendly staff and good food.

We loved it. Everything was delicious. The waitresses were very warm and attentive. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We went here based on the reviews. The staff was indeed friendly, but we had to wait almost an hour and a half for our main course. Upon inquiry, it turned out this wasn't expected, so we were both given a drink on the house. This was appreciated. Next, we received our dishes: the fish and chips, which didn't contain the "leukbek" (sweet and sour gherkin) as advertised on the menu, but instead contained three thin strips of fish. Furthermore, the chicken satay consisted of many fatty pieces of chicken thigh, which was really not tasty. For this reason, we left half of it. The dessert, the bannoffee, was also disappointing. The mascarpone had no flavor, and the white chocolate advertised on the menu was nowhere to be found. We wouldn't go here again, unfortunately.

Delicious food and fast service!

Yesterday we had a delicious Christmas brunch at Eten en Drinken in Malden. Everything was basically fine, but I thought the brunch could have had a bit more variety. I actually missed something sweet at the end. A bit of "constructive" criticism for next year's Christmas brunch.

The tomato soup as a starter was delicious, and for the main course, I ordered the Surf and Turf, which was also a treat. The price was also good.

We had a great meal thanks to the puzzle dinner. You solve puzzles, and once you've solved them, you get the next course. A lot of fun.

We booked a food and drinks package. The service was good. In Lent, they could have used a few more staff; they were a bit too busy for them. Very friendly, though. The package itself was great; the food was fine, but nothing special.

After our wedding, we enjoyed a delicious high tea with our family at Eten & Drinken. We received a wonderful welcome and were thoroughly spoiled, a wonderful end to an unforgettable day! Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful, cozy afternoon with a puzzle tasting

We wanted to have a nice bite to eat here. After sitting at a table that hadn't been cleared for 20 minutes, still not seeing anyone from the restaurant, and therefore not being asked what we wanted to drink, we got up and left. Note: Upon entering, we were greeted and allowed to choose a seat. So we were definitely seen. It was also incredibly quiet, so being busy couldn't have been an excuse. Moreover, the dirty tables and numerous flies made it feel unpleasant and didn't inspire confidence that things would turn out well. We definitely won't be coming back!

Delicious food. Great options on the menu, even for our vegetarians. The welcome was a bit grumpy—maybe early (and we're not exactly the quietest people). Perhaps a bit taken aback. Always a regular stop on bike rides. Delicious coffee, with a pitcher of water, a liqueur, and a pastry. First, the apple pie arrived with whipped cream instead of the one we ordered without. The water and liqueur were completely missing. When we inquired, the reason given was "no time" (other tables at least had water). Very poor service; we're not sure whether we'll drive on next time. We're not used to this from you, very disappointing.

Highly recommended! We ordered a delicious E&D brunch on the cozy terrace. A croissant, jam, bread, cheese and ham, and a tasty tuna salad. And a nice piece of fruit on the side. It was fantastic! They even brought a pitcher of water to the table, and the service was fast and very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

A lovely restaurant in a charming old building. We went without a reservation on a sunny summer Sunday, and it was perfectly fine. The menu caters to vegetarians, and there's also a good selection for kids. The food was good; the burger was filling, and the king bolete was plentiful—with fries, it was more than enough for an average adult. The price was reasonable!

The food was meager and there were few vegetables, the staff was friendly but the worst thing was that there was a big fly's nest while eating.

Specially went on a beautiful Monday evening for the cheese fondue, simply recommended, and the white wine was good. The local Hemels dessert was very tasty, and there was enough whipped cream for on the coffee.

Had high tea with the daughters. Fantastic. Enjoyed it very much.

If you're looking for a nice lunch, this is the café to go to!

What happened to this previously very cozy café? The terrace is less than half full on a beautiful sunny Saturday around lunchtime, and there is no one to be seen inside. When we sit down we notice why. It takes an incredibly long time for your order to be taken, so long in fact that people leave the terrace without ordering anything. In the end we have to wait more than half an hour for two bouncers, despite the fact that it is very quiet. We will not be coming here again!

Enjoyed a delicious cappuccino on the terrace

Schandalig dat ik na jaren bezoek nu pas een beoordeling schrijf, want die had Eten en Drinken in Lent al veel eerder verdiend! Halverwege de Lux en ons huis ligt E&D en vandaar dat we er na de middagfilm regelmatig neerstrijken voor precies wat er staat: eten en drinken. Alhoewel er dagelijks wisselende gerechten op het bord staan blijven wij hangen bij de klassiekers (jammer dat het vispannetje - al weer jaren - van de kaart is): de fantastische E&D burger, de scharrelkippendijfiletsaté 😎 of de fish and chips. De porties zijn goed, zonder overdreven groot te zijn……..af en toe komen we wel eens een frietje of twee tekort (daar zie je de pogingen om betaalbaarheid te behouden meen ik). Afijn, zo gooi je ook minder weg en komen wij minder aan 😁 Flesje wijn erbij (karaf water is standaard en gratis 👍), koffie na (met een likeurtje van het huis 🙏) en je bent met z’n tweeën onder de €70 klaar (is wel wat in prijs gestegen, maar ja dat geldt voor alles). Pak je de gerechten op het bord, of de andere keuzes op de kaart zul je met dezelfde opties voor onder de €90 klaar zijn. Gezellige bediening en publiek (stellen, groepjes, gezinnen met kinderen). Lekker druk. Bij goed weer een groot terras 🙂

Staff is slow, don't look around, could have earned 40% more if they saw the empty glasses... special. **Edit 1 year later: service is much better, I think the young man has been working there longer, keeps a close eye on everything, the review I first posted is no longer relevant.

Casual, cozy "neighborhood" restaurant. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went to eat AGAIN 3 days later! If we are in the area with the camper (camper place de Woerdt) we will come back.

Nice cozy cafe. Good value for money for the food and friendly service. The terrace does not face the sun, but they have managed to make it very pleasant.

Nice place on a nice lively corner in Lent where it is nice to stay with small or large groups. Tasty beers on tap, nice wines or just a soft drink. You can also eat here for a nice price or just have a nice drink. All in all a nice place in the old part of Lent!

We werden hartelijk ontvangen en zonder vragen zetten ze gelijk een karaf water op tafel De koffie en thee waren riant en het eten prima en royaal. Jammer dat er bij de warme dranken noga werd gegeven. Dit lust niet iedereen. En de stoelen zagen er verweerd uit. Verder helemaal top

We only had coffee there twice, which was very pleasant. We always received a coffee liqueur with whipped cream. Were also completely captivated by the Nijmegen Evening Four Days Marches. On the first day, Tuesday, they passed by the restaurant and were asked to wear the most beautiful floral clothing and to bring flowers for your favorite runner.

We are disappointed and will not return here. Our order took a very long time (and we just ordered from the menu, no allergies). The staff indicated that it had gone through really well and said a few times that it was coming, but it took 1.5 hours. This while people who came in after us were already gone when our food arrived, and the new people at that table got their food when we had just started. Once the food arrived we also had to ask for cutlery... Really a downer. When drinks were brought, empty glasses were not taken, we had to ask for them ourselves (and even then only half were taken). The food itself was fine, although a bit simple. The fish and chips is also just fish and chips, not with a small salad as you would expect for that price (€20). Not worth repeating for us.

We hadden nog verjaardags bonnen, heerlijk gebruik van gemaakt. Lekker gegeten met een zalig wijntje erbij. Top middag gehad

Leuke sfeer, prima bediening maar ik vond het eten tegenvallen. Ik was in Lent, begon met nacho's uit de oven en de kaas was slecht verdeeld en had weinig smaak. Daarna de spare ribs en dat vlees was goed en mals, maar ik vond de saus te zout. Echt niet slecht, maar het leek allemaal wat aandacht te missen.

Onverwacht Lents pareltje. Groentepotje uit de oven is een aanrader. Ontspannen terras, goede bediening.

Onze favoriete plek in Lent om met de kinderen te gaan eten. Quinten kan heerlijk koken. De prijzen zijn fatsoenlijk, de service prettig en de sfeer als een huiskamer.

Leukste kleine restaurant die er is in Lent. Gezellig, lekker eten voor een redelijke prijs, en prima service daar. Is ons stamrestaurant geworden waar we vaak lunchen.

This spot is nice for a good meal with a twist. The usual food choice but also some more rare choices. A simple restaurant, not posh or with any special decoration (or it should be the sponsored Kwaremont bicycle on the wall). But with friendly and attentive personnel.

Genoten van een heerlijke high tea! De high tea bestaat uit sandwiches met verse eier- en tonijnsalade (5 vd 5 sterren), verse tomatensoep (5 uit 5), kwarkbolletjes (jummieee) en heerlijke chocolade zoetigheden. Ook de thee was lekker. Ze waren heel vriendelijk en er waren leuke spelletjes. Kortom goed gedaan "eten en drinken"! 👍
