Café koffiehuis Blokker in Volewijck

Unfortunately, what we witnessed while walking past this café left a very poor impression. A waiter clearing the outdoor tables deliberately swept rubbish onto the public pavement and emptied an ashtray with cigarette butts and other waste into a nearby public planter. Maybe he was simply having a bad day, and guests should of course take care of their own rubbish too. Still, this is not an appropriate way to dispose of waste and certainly didn’t make us want to stop for a coffee.

Don't expect too much fuss; the selection isn't huge, but if you are prepared for that, it is a very pleasant place.

A true beer and coffee house from the former market! No frills, no choice of wine or other drinks... "coffee and beer"

We ordered coffee but didn't drink it. Everything was so dirty, like it hadn't been washed for a week, so we were afraid of getting sick.

The staff is nice, but the place is unsanitary

They always block the sidewalk for wheelchairs or people with walkers with chairs. If you say something about it, you get a rude response, especially from the customers. Social towards each other, but antisocial towards the neighborhood.

Had a cup of coffee with my sister and my niece had hot chocolate 🥰 Delicious cup 👌🏼 and affordable 😁

I came here for my research and the staff member behind the bar was extremely helpful and cooperative, really great. The café looked neat and cozy and I will definitely come back when I come to Amsterdam North.

Gezellig café!!!! Altijd gezellig daar. Een heerlijk volksbuurt kroegje. Kom hier graag in Blokker!!! Ook al is het onze familie kroeg, maar kom gewoon voor de sfeer!!! Ga zo door!!!
