Very nice small cosy brown cafe. Nice staff. And there house blond beer is also very nice, would recommend.

It's a small bar but has a nice feeling. The waitress was kind and pro. The prices were okay. The place will be better when they finish the large work they do in the street.

Went there on a quiet Tuesday evening, there were almost no one inside the bar , we finished the first glass and waited like 30 mins no body came and asked if we needed anything else, the bartender seemed busy drying the glasses or doing something else behind the bar than checking out the customers if they needed help , we were there for almost 5h but we had to stand up and go to the bar to order drink while we were sitting at the table right in front of the bartender. I know the service isn’t the best in Amsterdam but this place is absolutely horrible with the service! I’d never come again and also don’t recommend anyone to go ! Absolutely bad service !!

Picture perfect location. I really love the green outside the building, some of the tables offer a little shade (welcomed by me). On top of a great view, the bar staff are really attentive, and seem to genuinely enjoy engaging with customers. I definitely recommend stopping by for a beer 🍺 such a welcoming spot!

Great, super place in Amsterdam, what a nice café. Rarely experienced such a relaxed atmosphere, very good service and nice guests. Real neighborhood café where you have to be. We will come back soon.

Very nice bar in a calm street. Nice terrasse and nice interior as well. Don’t accept visas so bring cash if you don’t have a Dutch card. Few food options but nachos are great. Service is super efficient.

Really the tastiest sparkling water ever drunk, with a price tag of 15 euros, but although you can buy it for ten times less in the app, it tasted ABSOLUTELY amazing here. :)

Wonderfully Amsterdam-style, with the highlight being boiled eggs on the bar that you can just grab and peel. It's something small, but it immediately makes the place homely and nice

Friendly bartenders and lots of choices of alcohol. Colorful locals. And, a bar dog! They do have some good looking sandwiches, but we didn't try them. Afschuimer!!!

5 stars only for the location! The atmosphere outside is great because this bar is located in a very picturesque corner of Amsterdam close to a canal with very pretty houses. I’d definitely recommend coming here to sit outside and enjoy the view. For the rest it’s a very normal bar, but the location makes everything!

A welcoming space to enjoy a more real Amsterdam. Mostly locals speaking Dutch, and the terrace and interior have character. Greeted with kind energy by the staff—and her mother provided additional engaging dialogue. Their own local brew was a perfect reward for exploring by foot all day. A new favorite spot in Amsterdam… This place exudes personality.

The woman with the brown short hair is nationalistic and was very unfriendly to me just because I spoke English. I felt incredible uncomfortable! In Amsterdam not only Dutch people live. They looked at me disrespectful when I asked something. If would not be able to speak Dutch I would think twice to go there..

Atmospheric, relaxed small neighborhood café with a diverse audience. Nice terrace in a quiet corner, nice in the sun and with great service. Blonde Stoot on tap is delicious!

Food was so bad. A sorry excuse for scrambled eggs. Cold and tasteless. Nice place though. Will take sandwiches next time!

One of the loveliest bruin cafes Centrum/West with a cozy interior for winter and large terrace for summer. Delightfully mixed crowd. Downside? It can be a little hard to find a seat at certain times due to its popularity.

Relaxte kroeg met prima biertjes. Personeel is wat afstandelijk alleen.

Nienke heeft er aan gewerkt: het personeel is een stuk scherper dan een jaar geleden (zie onze recensie van toen). De tosti ham-kaas is een aanrader: heel erg lekker! Onze vaste barista is Isa op zondag, een leuke vrouw van de wereld. Rosa is helaas vertrokken naar Utrecht. Door-de-week voeren wij altijd een prettig gesprek met Janna. Het is een fantastische huiskamer!

Superfijn terras en ook kranten aanwezig.. niet al te groot maar goede sfeer.. maar dan het barpersoneel...wel altyd vriendelijk maar zo stuntelig en inefficiënt zie je ze niet heel vaak..

The place is beautiful although the drinks selection is rather small. Super attentive staff. All in all it is a cozy place to hangout with friends.

Bar très sympa qui semble plutôt fréquenté par des locaux que des touristes. La bière y était un peu chère (9 euros la pinte d'IPA) mais bonne, le service sympa et l'ambiance agréable, avec un éclairage à la bougie. N'accepte pas la carte bancaire, pensez à prendre du liquide.

If you go there more than three or four times some patrons will say hello to you. Corner bar atbhis best. You can see time passing and Sun setting with beer drinking and mean tostis

I'm writing this whilst in Café L'Affiche, wine in hand, book in tow. A recommendation from a local friend, this place is welcoming, relaxed and offers a much needed cheese toastie after a day's tramping around the negen+million straatjes. Great music, friendly bar staff, and a real mix of patrons, all a stone's throw from the main drag (but crucially away from the drag of too many tourists)

Gezellige plek om op terras te zitten. Fijn om te lunchen of een kop koffie of biertje te drinken. Vriendelijke adequate bediening.

To speak about positive things, the location is very good to have a quiet relaxing experience. Their staff are friendly and nice. Food is below average, not so much options to offer. Coffees are okayish. It’s only good to go to if your thinking of having quick beers.

Ik ben nu een paar keer met vrienden hier wezen borrelen. De ontvangst is heel hartelijk. De ambiance - met veel groen, eitjes op de bar en mooie posters - is gezellig. De zaak heeft een mooi terras op het westen aan een kruising van rustige straten aan een gracht. Weinig toeristen, veel locals van diverse pluimage. Wat wij missen, is scherpte bij veel mensen in de bediening. Men kijkt niet of te weinig en daardoor duurt het een "eeuwigheid" voordat je een bestelling kunt plaatsen. Dat is gewoon jammer. Wij wensen eigenaar Nienke veel succes bij het strak trekken van de organisatie. Over een paar weken komen we kijken of er vooruitgang is geboekt.

A cozy little bar in Oud-West on the Da Costakade. Not far from Leidseplein (or the Marriott). It's a classic "brown cafe" in Amsterdam. They have some delicious snacks, toasties and cheese plates. broodjes. It's a beautiful spot on the canal, they get full sun (whenever there sun)! Nice outdoor seating area. Friendly staff...a hometown feeling where locals and new people are welcome. Great place to play puzzles, read, relax and meet some locals.

Fui aquí varias veces durante mi estancia en Amsterdam. Especialmente me encantó visitar a tomar una cerveza por la noche; el ambiente es muy "gezellig". También fui a tomar un café por la tarde al patio una vez, lo cual también fue agradable.
