Had a nice lunch at Café Le Figaro, the dishes were ready quickly/the staff is also very friendly.

The food was okay, but nothing special or particularly tasty. Portions were very small. My pork was barely cooked. The only nice thing was the view of the water. We definitely wouldn't eat here again.

Poor quality carpaccio was grey instead of red.

We dined at Le Figaro today as a 5-star secret guest, and what an amazing experience! The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant was top-notch. The presentation of the food was also meticulously taken care of. We chose the fish & chips, beautifully packaged like a gift. The fish was delicious: real, fresh, high-quality cod, not a cheap substitute. Perfectly prepared and full of flavor. My son had the chicken burger. It was freshly breaded with panko, and you could taste it immediately. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and clearly made with care. A big compliment to the entire team. Friendly staff, delicious food, and a great focus on quality. Bravo! Le Figaro gets a solid 5 stars from me. Thanks for the amazing experience!

What can i say except Thankyou! I came multiple times every week for 6 months. This cafe has been a confort zone for me, all the staff is amazing and so kind. The cooking is excellent, and the view really pleasant. Thankyou for your kindness, im really sad to leave this place and im deeply gonna miss you!

Beautiful view of the Waal, a lovely spot for a drink and good company. The food was fine. We had the salmon and the burger, which were quite tasty but nothing special. The fries that came with the burger were very tasty, though, as were the butter portions with the bread roll beforehand (which was a generous bowl for two people). A cozy and nice spot for a drink and a fine meal with a beautiful view that is hard to beat here in the city.

Great hamburger, bouillabaisse with rouille, tasty wine, but you have to shake the chocolate milk well before serving. This time the water was on top and the thick chocolate at the bottom. A bit sloppy.

Had lunch with the Saturday group. Everything was well organized, great service, beautiful spot, and delicious food. TOP!

The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service was excellent. I would especially like to thank Berle — I hope I spelled the name correctly. She was working on the outdoor terrace and was incredibly kind. She also recommended dishes that suited us perfectly, especially since I was with children.

We were here on Friday the 17th for lunch; my wife and I had shrimp croquettes and non-alcoholic beer. The beer was good.... Not a shrimp to be seen. Ground up perhaps? The batter had a floury taste (too much breadcrumbs?) Key components of the filling: (an idea for the chef) Base (Roux): Butter and flour form the base for the thick ragout. Shrimp stock: Essential for the flavor. This is often made from the shrimp shells. Shrimp: A good 150-250 grams of Dutch shrimp per liter of filling for a rich croquette. The shrimp simply didn't have these key components. This was the first and immediately the last time at Le Figaro. Wishing you all the best.

Came here on a Monday evening. One couple was seated outside under a heat lamp, no one was seated inside. One waiter and one chef. The music that was playing was not too loud and was calm enough for at least 4 people to talk to each other without issue. I ordered the Gambas (shrimp in buttery herb sauce), a still water, and a Kasteel Rouge. All were delicious. The gambas were hot in the pan they were served in and the potatoes were creamy and tasty. The bread was pretty good when dipped in the sauce.

They are not working effectively. Delivering something to a table and walking back, without checking if there are still people who want something to eat or drink. If they wanted to, they could generate more revenue with better-trained staff.

Arrived on a Monday evening on spec. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious.

The service was hospitable, fast, and friendly. The food, in general, was just not quite right. You should avoid the tournedos; it was absolutely disgusting. And severely undercooked for the medium I'd asked for. The carpaccio flavors were off. It seemed like a watery sauce or very old. It went well with the truffle mayo and pesto. The dessert saved you, hence the 3 stars. Oh yeah, wooden Ikea chairs, seriously?? Replace those ASAP! They're useless!

We had the three-course menu. I had a delicious fish appetizer, and they were very tasty! The chicken satay was tender and the sauce was also delicious. I would have ordered prawn crackers instead of chips, but okay. For dessert, I had French toast with caramel sauce—yum! My husband had prawns as a starter and the boneless spare ribs for the main course. He was happy with his choice, although the sauce was a bit too much for his liking. For dessert, he had the crème brûlée, which could have been a bit firmer, but was otherwise delicious. The service was very friendly and I often come by. It's a nice place!

Went for dinner this winter, and it was absolutely delicious! The waitress was incredibly enthusiastic, and the male staff was a bit less motivated. It was a bit noisy, but still manageable. Delicious!

Waterfront terrace with a beautiful view; however, the service could be better, especially due to the unfriendly waiter on duty. I asked for something several times, but he apparently "didn't have time." The waitress, on the other hand, was very friendly. A table that was still slightly soiled by previous customers wasn't cleaned. I ended up doing it myself. The food was delicious, but the portions are rather small. One cone of fries when two people order dinner is also very small.

As a side dish, they were truly the tastiest fries I've ever had. Highly recommended.

The food is delicious, with good portions for the price. The fries are nice and crispy, and the snacks are also delicious. We also had a pulled chicken sandwich, which was also delicious and nicely seasoned. The toasted sandwich was also good, but the cheese wasn't completely melted. The service was very slow. They were on a break, so the terrace just had to wait. It wasn't very busy, maybe 10 tables occupied. We also didn't get our food at the same time. One person finished theirs before the other arrived. Everything also took quite a while. You have to wait quite a while (20-30 minutes) to order and then another 15 minutes for your drinks. We don't mind waiting with this beautiful view, but it's a shame you don't get your food at the same time. If you enjoy good food and aren't in a hurry, this is highly recommended. We give it 4 stars, but because our food didn't arrive together, it's a 3.

We used to go there quite often, and everything was fine. But the tournedos I got was rock hard and smelled terrible. I was bothered by it all evening, and I couldn't even finish it. The sauce that came with it was simply disgusting. I'm not a picky eater, and I've eaten in many restaurants. This is the first time I actually had to spit something out. The interior also needs updating. But they contacted me right away, and they're going to address it in the kitchen. I also got a full refund right away. Fantastic! I thought that was very professional.

Wir haben einen Hamburger und Mosselen bestellt, wir sind sehr oft in den Niederlanden, solch ein schlechtes Essen habe ich noch nirgends bekommen, der Hamburger war kalt, man hatte das Gefühl er kam aus der Friteuse, die Mosselen waren gut aber nur die Hälfte wie sonst.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful meal here. The atmosphere is nice, the service friendly and helpful, and the view of the Waal River is beautiful. The Irish coffee was also delicious! I'll definitely be back.

I had a truly fantastic Dame Blanche, with so many different textures of chocolate. Also a delicious tomato soup.

We went there yesterday to the worst restaurant in Nijmegen. We had to wait 45 minutes while no one was cooking. The so-called chef just stood there, but another one sat with headphones on, staring out the window, which was absolutely unacceptable! Then we heard a microwave noise a few times, and then our food arrived, not freshly prepared but reheated in the microwave. We had ordered surf and turf, and the meat smelled rotten! We called the chef, who denied everything and lied to our faces, insisting the meat was good. I've never experienced anything like this before. Poor service, terrible kitchen. Restaurants like this shouldn't even be open. Shame on you scammers! Asking €32.50 for rotten meat is unbelievable!

A day in Nijmegen always includes a stop at Le Figaro for lunch. The quality is always good, but the interior and the service are quite disappointing. It feels like they've been standing still for years. Very dated. For now, we'll leave Le Figaro alone.

We waited half an hour for a few drinks. After initially getting no response from the waitress, and even after asking another waitress, nothing arrived.

The atmosphere was nice. service was not good. food took a long time and burger was more like a steak and there was no request medium or well done when you ordered this burger. The dishes were not clean was still a bit dirty. I would not recommend this.

Had lunch today. Waiter was quick, but not really customer friendly. Very businesslike and cool. I had a Carpaccio on brown bread. There was way too much lettuce on it, the cheese and pesto were so sparse that you couldn't taste it. I had to use salt to create a bit of flavor. I wanted to say this to the waiter but we were now helped by an English speaking waiter who didn't even ask if it tasted good. He didn't seem very interested either. So I left it at that and wrote this somewhat lesser review. Too bad about the lunch...

Na een maaltijd die niet helemaal was zoals we ons hadden voorgesteld, hebben we contact gehad met Le Figaro, en hebben ze ons geld terugbetaald. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, goede uitleg, en dus was deze actie was een 9 waard!

Had a nice meal here yesterday, had a fantastic meal with my wife and children, had a few drinks, good and friendly service. All in all we had a nice day.

My 87-year-old mother, sitting in the blazing sun, asks the waiter if a parasol can be opened. People are made to believe that two parasols are broken. When asked, this appears to be incorrect (only 1 parasol would be difficult to open). When I confront the waiter about it when I pick up my mother, I get turns and the smart question about what interest he would have in it. So there is someone walking around who would rather let an elderly woman sit in the hot sun after she asks if a parasol can be opened than take the trouble to open a parasol.

Went there with a group of 8 for a 3-course menu. Food was not bad, but not spectacular. But each course took about an hour to arrive, which was definitely too long. Even drinks took almost 15 minutes, even though there were lots of staff and not many guests. The location on the river is nice, though.

Erg lang moeten wachten op ons eten. Toen we t eindelijk kregen was t niet warm. Het restaurant was ook niet echt behagelijk warm. De keuken waar je langs kwam als je naar t toilet moest, was niet echt schoon.

You could call it a worn-out tent, wherever you sit, you are in the draft everywhere, think of the cheap extension. The seats are worn, even the upholstery is coming loose. If the weather changes, the guest who wants to sit inside is not taken into account, if you sit inside, you also sit outside, they open all the sliding doors so that they can walk in and out with orders, the guest can choose it. The cutlery we received was dirty, we didn't see a dishwasher, the food was tailor-made, not a potato too many. The staff walks around cheerfully and every now and then they come like hornets to order something, you don't have to sit here for rest and relaxation.

We had a delicious meal and the young lady serving was very friendly. Unfortunately the inside temperature was almost the same as the outside temperature. The young lady did turn on the heating (around 12:30) but to no avail because it only affected the ceiling heaters and we were sitting near the kitchen side. It's a shame because we would have liked to have dinner afterwards, but because we were super cold we left.

Beautiful and atmospheric restaurant with a view of the Waal and Nijmegen North. We use the 3-course menu via Social Deal. Starter delicious and that gave hope for the main course. The famous boneless spareribs here are unfortunately sold out, but the tournedos, game trio and chicken satay were also good. In general, the taste of the dish as a whole was a little too bland per dish, but it was neatly presented and the meat was nicely prepared. This restaurant is highly recommended if you accept the waiting time between courses, which was on the long side. But of course, with good company and a nice drink, no problem 😉. We'll come back here. Update: We have been back and now for a soup and a sandwich. Once again excellent flat white, latte macchiato, smoked chicken sandwich and the croque madame. Delicious!

Had dinner here for the first time last Friday with my father, and we enjoyed it so much that he thought we should make a reservation for Christmas too! No sooner said than done, and we had a delicious meal again today. It was busy, so we sometimes had to wait a while, but we still had a nice evening! +10 for the friendly staff ;)
