Never before had such disgusting food in a restaurant, with the highlight being the tasteless frozen carpaccio. When we mentioned it to the server, the response was, "Luckily, you have another course later." The ordeal took extra long because they had spread the food out over three hours.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the long wait (we arrived at 6:15 PM, and were supposed to order at 7:30 PM) and the cold air from the window, which they didn't address, detracted from it. The service was decent, but they were clearly understaffed. The meat was cold when it arrived, but it was resolved.

It was great at Bregje's again. Now in Nijmegen, but when we lived in Drenthe, we always went to Bregje's in Emmen, which was fantastic.

Great location in the center of Nijmegen. The staff is cheerful and enthusiastic. They just launched a new menu (16/10), and the waitresses explained it in detail. Delicious food. Very affordable. Parking is available in the parking garage about 500 meters away.

We ate here yesterday with a nice group. The service was mediocre. The dishes were small but okay. Afterward, we had a drink there and noticed mice running around where we were sitting. The staff reacted laxly. There were also cobwebs hanging above the table. I wouldn't go there again!

Unfortunately, a bad experience. We've been here before, and everything was fine then. This time, the portions were small. The starter was very tasty. But the main courses were very meager. The salmon was dry and tasteless. The schnitzel was also very tough. The cheese sauce on top was very overpowering. We had to wait a long time for our food. We were given tea as compensation... but the staff was really very kind and helpful!

The food was ok, not so impressed. The ice cream dessert was the focus of the dinner. Honestly it's hard to find great food at reasonable price in Nijmegen. Otherwise we quite enjoyed the place. They have great atmosphere and the service was great. It was really crowded that night but everything went well, with a few mishaps.

This restaurant was a real disappointment. The food tasted like it came out of the microwave, the service was unfriendly and chaotic, and the atmosphere was anything but cozy. Absolutely not recommended.

If you've ever thought, "Gosh, I want to ruin my evening, lose my sense of taste, and overpay," this is the place for you. Otherwise: run. Run fast. And eat a sandwich at home.

Delicious food for a ridiculously low price. Good service and plenty of choice.

Went here for the first time today. I was looking forward to a delicious three-course meal. It turned out to be like something out of a horror movie. Upon entering, the staff milling around looked like a playground. We ordered our food and expected it to arrive quickly. However, we waited two hours just for our starter. 🤬 Then, after half an hour, our main course was served cold, and the drinks also took a long time. As you can see in the photo, there was no meat on the spare ribs. I ordered the Choco Dream, but it turned out to be a Choco Nightmare. 😖. Furthermore, we were offered coffee or tea as compensation, which was ridiculous. 😤 I was there with a serious client of mine, and I can never make up for that. Worst place I've ever been to. The waitress was a nice girl, though.

I wanted to have dinner with some friends. Unfortunately, the evening ended in horror. We waited an hour for our first course. We asked if the main course could come quickly afterward (due to the long wait), and the staff said it would be another 10 minutes. However, and I'm not lying, we had to wait another whole hour for our main course. One person received it EVEN later than the rest, and the spare ribs we ordered were completely burnt black, and the burgers were cold. When we asked the manager for compensation, we were told we could only get coffee or tea. Absolutely scandalous! Disgusting experience. We didn't even wait for dessert; we left quickly after the main course. Our server, Marie, was otherwise fantastic.

The staffing levels aren't aligned with the reservations. We arrived with a large group at 5:00 PM. Dessert was served at 8:45 PM! It took far too long, and we apologized upon payment, citing insufficient kitchen capacity, etc. I think we should accept fewer reservations then. Many people in our group have been disappointed with Bregje. That's a shame, because the chefs work very hard and their food is delicious!

We've been sitting here since 5pm, it's now 8pm and dessert hasn't even arrived yet... It's not nice to eat so slowly.

A very bad experience with Bregje Nijmegen. The bill arrived before dessert even arrived.

Our first time, what a disaster. The staff couldn't handle it at all; they were all very young. The only "older" one behind the bar had a face like a thunderstorm, was criticizing the staff, one staff member was crying, and we had to wait over half an hour for dessert (and hadn't even had it yet). The food we did have was good. We left. It was a very special evening that we won't soon forget, unfortunately not a positive one.

Great food for a great price. Only when it's (too) busy, your food is lukewarm. A free cup of coffee is a nice solution.

We ate yesterday, everything was delicious. But the service wasn't what you'd expect. The waitress downstairs at the bar was very unfriendly and not really a team player. I hope the owner gets his team in order soon. It's a shame when the food is so good that the service is abysmal.

Sometimes you'll have a great meal here with a generous portion, other times it's tasteless and you're still hungry even after three courses. The price is reasonable, but the quality of the food and the service could definitely be better.

The service was incredibly poor; they took over 30 minutes to take our order because they were too busy upstairs. We explained that we didn't have all evening to spare because of a concert. Our appetizer finally arrived after 30 minutes and was lukewarm, apparently having been waiting in the kitchen for too long. They eventually removed our first drinks from the bill, which was polite. The price is very good, but the service and quality are debatable.

Upon entering, we were immediately struck by a strange smell (something between egg and sewage), which didn't exactly make a pleasant first impression. At first glance, the restaurant's decor looks nice, but as soon as you look up at the table, you see dust flakes hanging from the lamp. For our starter, we had baguettes with herb butter. The herb butter seemed freshly made and was very tasty. Then we opted for a main course and dessert. The food itself was well-prepared, and the dessert was even quite delicious. However, something went wrong with the service: a drink we ordered was forgotten and not even noted down, meaning we had to wait at least fifteen minutes for a Coke. Considering it was relatively quiet and there were plenty of staff around, this was noticeable. The biggest problem, however, was the hygiene. The menu was sticky, the heater had dirty stains, the lamps were covered in dust, and to our dismay, we found mouse droppings behind the sofa where we were sitting. Luckily, we didn't discover this until after dinner, otherwise we would have left immediately. When we discreetly mentioned this to the staff, their response was simply, "Oh, that's not nice, I'll report it." There was no sense of urgency or immediate action, even though this is a serious hygiene issue. I'd been to this restaurant in Oss before, and it was fine. It was all the more disappointing that the restaurant here scored so poorly in terms of hygiene. Conclusion The food was fine, but the hygiene left a lot to be desired. Mouse droppings in a restaurant, on the guests, are unacceptable. That's reason enough for us not to return.

Not worth it, low quality - no atmosphere, very corporate. I don't understand the positive reviews. Dishes are clearly (partly) not freshly prepared/cooked. Prices aren't exorbitant, but the taste is awful.

Service was unbelievably slow waited over an hour for a starter and another for the main course. Food was nothing special and lukewarm do not come it’s not worth it. They try and stretch it out so you can order more drinks and entice you in with a cheap three course meal

Good value for money. This was also our second time at Brechtje in Nijmegen. There were four of us. Two of us ordered spare ribs. When they arrived, they were lukewarm. We reported this and were given new ones. A staff member came over to apologize. There were problems with the oven. Of course, this can happen. As compensation, we received two free beers. This was resolved very nicely. The food was also delicious.

Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Wij waren met z’n vieren. Twee van ons hadden spareribs besteld. Toen deze arriveerden waren deze lauw. We hebben deze terug gegeven. We kregen nieuwe, en er kwam iemand van het personeel om zich te verontschuldigen, er waren problemen met de oven. Tevens kregen we 2 biertjes gratis. Erg netjes opgelost. Verder was het eten heerlijk.

It was tasty but nothing special, but it was also very cheap, so the quality was good. The staff was friendly. I did find it extremely noisy, though: tables close together and a large, boisterous group right next to us. In terms of atmosphere, I found Emmen much more pleasant.

The food was delicious, with a wide selection thanks to the Social Deal. They were very helpful and the service was excellent. No loud music either.

We waited an hour and a half for our appetizer; it was hot and there was no air conditioning. We waited another 40 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. One person from the kitchen had to serve the entire restaurant. Arrival time is not taken into account; people who arrived much later than us were served first. The restaurant is run by younger staff; I didn't see any adult to provide any guidance.

This wasn't good, folks. We had ordered bread in advance and didn't receive it, so we didn't pay for it either. We had to wait a very long time for our main course, and that wasn't good either, I think it went on the plate too quickly.

Terrible acoustics. You can't hear each other, so everyone's shouting at each other. Our main course arrived 45 minutes after our appetizer. The burgers were still raw, and all the food was cold. We left everything, paid for the appetizer, and left. What a lousy place. Never again.

Don't eat here. We sat for an hour and a half before we got our food, and it wasn't even good. Cold and poor quality. I've been to Brechtje several times, at various locations, but this was the absolute worst. I'd rather spend 20 euros more for a decent dinner than this. It's not expensive, but it's not much either. It's a shame, because we had pretty good experiences with Brechtje before.

Delicious food for a reasonable price

Great place to eat. Reasonable prices, and the food is delicious. It's a shame there was a dirty laundry basket in plain sight. But the food was delicious, so I highly recommend it, and the atmosphere is good too.

My visit to Restaurant Bregje in Nijmegen was utterly terrible. The food was simply not cooked through. When we reported this, nothing was done about it. No apology, no alternative, just a disinterested look and a shrug. The staff was extremely unfriendly. We were greeted with a grumpy "yes?", as if we were a burden. Questions were answered with sighs and eye rolls, and our waitress simply walked away when we offered feedback about the food. The atmosphere? Uninviting, loud, and crowded. Everything here is about speed, not hospitality. For a supposedly "affordable" menu, you literally get the worst possible experience – both in terms of food and service. Conclusion: Bregje Nijmegen isn't a restaurant, it's a factory of frustration. Please don't eat here. I'd even decline for free.

Bregje Nijmegen: Cheap turns out to be expensive Last week, I visited restaurant Bregje in Nijmegen—against my better judgment. It seemed like an easy choice: a three-course menu for a fixed, low price. But what started as a pleasant evening ended in pure frustration. Service beyond compare Upon arrival, we had to wait almost twenty minutes to get any attention from anyone. No greeting, no drinks, absolutely nothing. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed. Tables remained uncleared, orders were mixed up, and no one seemed to know who was responsible for what. The staff acted unmotivated and visibly didn't enjoy their work—which directly reflected in the atmosphere in the restaurant. Food below par The food? Disappointing. My starter—carpaccio—arrived ice cold from the refrigerator, with an overdose of sauce to mask the flavor. The main course, a piece of meat, was lukewarm and tough inside, as if it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The garnish consisted of some soggy fries and a mound of arugula that had clearly seen better days. The dessert was literally a supermarket brownie with a dollop of whipped cream. Unpleasant atmosphere The acoustics in the restaurant are terrible. You have to shout to hear each other. There's no cozy atmosphere—more like uncontrolled chaos with slamming doors, stressed-out staff, and far too many tables crammed together. Like eating in a cafeteria, but with worse food. Cheap, yet overpriced Yes, it's cheap. But even for that price, you expect at least hot food, some attention, and a modicum of comfort. Here, you mostly get annoyance, wait times, tasteless dishes, and a hangover without drinks. And when you consider that you can find much better places in Nijmegen for the same amount of money, it feels like a waste of money. Conclusion: not again Bregje Nijmegen is a factory of disappointment. The low price is a lure for those looking for a quick bite, but anyone expecting anything in the way of quality, hospitality, or ambiance should probably skip this place. There are dozens of better options in Nijmegen. Only suitable if you're not expecting anything. And even then, it's a gamble.

Het eten was ver onder de maat. Carpaccio zonder pijnboompitten, staat wel op de kaart. lauwe slappe schnitzel met saus (saus? beetje stijve prut erop aan een kant, varkenshaas in spek gerold, Dat klopte maar moet dan wel gaar gebakken worden. Koud en slappe niet gebakken spek erom Bah. Veel lege flessen op de tafel die niet verwijderd werden enz enz Goedkoop maar een beetje aandacht zou toch wel kunnen. Groente schoteltje met veel aubergine (goedkoop) met ui, wat paprika en tomaatstukjes. Even gesmoord klaar. Geen aanrader dus . Betaal liever iets mee dan dit. TM Van Haalen

Binnen en buiten was het 40 graden, maar zelfs dan mocht je geen kan kraanwater op tafel vragen, ook al bestelden we gewoon drankjes. Je kunt alleen extra flessen water bestellen, die je moet betalen. Uitleg van het personeel: 'Dat mag niet van de werkgever.' Wat mij betreft hadden ze best 1 of 2 euro kunnen vragen voor een kan kraanwater — dat zou ik prima vinden. Schandalig. Gezond verstand ontbreekt volledig. We zijn toch gebleven omdat het een gepland feestje was. Het eten is oké, maar niet bijzonder. Personeel is vriendelijk, maar hier kom ik nooit meer.

Great lunch, friendly staff, nice location in the center

3 courses for 23€. That seems too good to be true, right? It is. Vreetschuur Bregje would be a better name for this place. That's not so bad because you can't expect more with these prices. A few points for improvement are that the carpaccio would be just as tasty with a little less rocket and that the spare ribs could really be a little less dry. For all the bachelor parties that come here and want a ball tent where they can fill their stomachs, this is perfect. If you feel like eating well, you should go somewhere else. When I walked away I heard the waitress say that she was hoping for a big tip because everyone was so drunk. This place summarized in three words: vreetschuur, ballentent, tantoedrogespareribs. Despite everything I would definitely come back here because the beer is delicious. That's why 5 stars. Also very handicapped friendly. Ferdinand has tested the toilet extensively and has received a good review every 5 times (he has a disability).

Ondanks dat het eten prima was toch een slechte ervaring gehad. Wij waren met een groep van 9 personen maar de service was erg slecht. Zo hebben we 50 min moeten wachten voordat er wat te drinken opgenomen werd. En 1.45u op de lunch zelf. Geen bestek om de soep te eten ook hier moesten we zelf om vragen en zelf een tweede rondje drank hebben wij zelf moeten vragen of zij dit konden verzorgen. Toen wij vroegen waarom het zo land duurde voordat de lunch kwam was het antwoord dat de bon een ingewikkelde bon was ( 9 personen waarvan 7 hetzelfde 12 uurtje hadden). Het jammere van alles vond ik nog wel de onaardige mannen die voor de lunch en drinken zorgde. Geen excuses voor het lange wachten. 13 uur gereserveerd en om 14.50u de lunch ontvangen zou eigenlijk niet mogen.

The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. We asked for a starter without (shell)fish, but still received shrimp. The main (streetfood tasting) was well prepared, but there was no sauce with any of the items we got (i.e. fried chicken, corn ribs, spareribs), which made everything very dry. The staff is kind, but on the whole came across as not very well trained or hospitable. I do have to say their prices are very fair and again, the staff was kind. But all in all i would not return here personally.

Voorgerecht aspergesoep was heerlijk! En de andere voorgerechten bevielen ook goed. Hoofdgerecht daarin tegen was slecht. Ossehaaspuntjes waren grijs en doorbakken, dit gerecht 2x terug gestuurd. Verder waren de spareribs koud en ander vlees lauw. Toetje hebben we maar laten zitten. 1 hoofdgerecht hebben we niet betaald. Hierover werd trouwens geen probleem gemaakt. Service was heel goed!

Nog nooit zo slecht gegeten. Eten was koud, vlees niet gebakken maar gekookt en taai. Aardbeien taartje moet je de aardbeien zoeken. 1 hele aardbei op een heel taartje. En de bodem taai en niet lekker. Al met al geen aanrader.

Been before with 2 people and it was fine. Group of 10+ very unfortunate. Waiting a long time for food and forgetting things. But they know how to hurry before drinking. Won't recommend this for larger groups.

It’s not expensive, and although you don’t notice that in service and atmosphere, it’s very noticeable in what is arguably the most important part: the food. We were here with a party of 8, this may create an extra challenge and that’s why I will forgive them the extended amount of time it took them to serve us our food, but with that in mind the food should have been better. Arriving at 7, we were served our starters at 8. An hour for mostly cold dishes. The starters were fine, and portions were about what you would expect for starters. The mains is where the real trouble was. We were served our mains at the same time, which is a standard in the restaurant industry. However; half of the dishes were cold. A burger with untoasted buns, fries that were double-fried (likely because they missed the timing) and therefore dry and hard, not crispy, but hard. And portion sizes that would have been fine if it weren’t for the impossible to consume fries. We received our mains at around 8:45. Desert made up for a lot of things, ending on a good note. But, with an end bill of €275, we had expected for at least the fries to be spot-on.

People were rude and without atmosphere, they dropped our glasses. And glass fell on the stairs and glass got into our food, crappy place

Way too busy, spareribs were inedible. Very dry and all loose pieces, just really dirty. I think it comes from a freezer package and is put in the microwave. Very busy and noisy and staff as young as possible and uninterested. "Eating abrasion content is high"

You get good value for your money. You also notice that the quality is slightly lower than alternatives. The dishes are tasty, but less inspired and culinary than alternatives. Also the service: you specifically ask for your coffee to be served at the same time as the dessert, and the coffee is forgotten and you receive it fifteen minutes later after you ask for it again. But again, for the price you pay it's all very reasonable!

For that price you can't expect too much, but it certainly didn't disappoint us. Something for everyone. The food just took too long because of how busy it was.

The quality of the meals has certainly improved in recent months, but it is a shame that the vegetarian options remain so limited.

Recently had an extensive dinner here with a friend and enjoyed it immensely. The employees were friendly and our waitress was a bit nervous (we suspect she was still new), but very attentive. There are few places where you can get a three-course menu for €20 per person, which is also tasty and filling. I loved the cheese fondue and my girlfriend enjoyed the spare ribs. By the way, we ended up more than doubling the bill with the money for the drinks, but that was entirely our fault. We shouldn't have ordered two drinks per person with each course (and sometimes in between). Delicious mocktails by the way! We were very doubtful whether we would like the apple/cinnamon mocktail on the menu, but it is definitely the best on it.

I don't often post a review but I hope they do something with this! We opted for a three-course menu. The starter, a duck breast salad, was fine in itself, but over time the taste became too sweet and sour. For the main course we went for the Street Food Plateau, for which a surcharge of €4.50 was charged. Unfortunately, this was quite disappointing. First, the food was cold. The hot dog bun was soggy, and the hot dog itself had a strange taste. The Korean fried chicken was so soft that it almost felt spongy and did not taste good. The spareribs were also cold and not very tasty. The sticky pulled beef was still reasonable, and luckily you can't mess up much with nachos and fries. The dessert, a crème brûlée, was also disappointing. This consisted of a teaspoon of ice cream and a wafer-thin caramelized layer of less than half a centimeter. All in all a disappointing experience. They would be better off raising the total price a little to be able to serve decent food, so that you get a full main course and dessert. We regularly eat out and are certainly not complainers, but this was not good. We will not return here.

We were kindly helped. Food was fine for the most part. Only the snitzel was cheap and not crispy.

Service not okay: everything took a long time, but one drink was taken, plates were taken away without asking if we liked it. Oriental trio starter was tasty, but not warm but lukewarm. I found the main course of scampi with rice very boring. Scampis were also not fully cooked. Little attention was paid to the salad side dish. Furthermore, it was very cold inside. Unfortunately not for us anymore.

Nice atmosphere and tasty cocktails. But the food was downright bad. The tomato soup starter was a huge bowl of vegetable soup. The carpaccio had little taste, but you didn't notice that because there was so much sauce on it. The tacos were very tasty. The burger was red on the inside, that's really not possible. The "grand dessert" was truly a mockery. A mini scoop of lemon ice cream, a cup of coffee (which not everyone likes), a bowl of warm cherries (which couldn't be found anywhere), a kind of hard toffee cookie (which was still frozen) and the only tasty thing: bacon cookie. And you paid extra for that too. Overall, the food was a bit disappointing.

We recently had dinner at Bregje in Nijmegen, but what a disappointment that was. It started with the starter, for which we had to wait 40 minutes. To make matters worse, my mother-in-law was served the wrong dish several times. In the end we had to pay extra for that, because she had taken a bite without knowing it was wrong. The main course also took an hour to arrive. While we were waiting, four employees - teenage girls - were chatting with each other instead of doing their work. When the main course finally arrived, it turned out there were no fries. The fries didn't arrive at first, then they were cold, then they were unceremoniously taken away while eating. In the end we only received one of the two cups of fries back warm, for which we had to pay extra, to our surprise. In short, a very bad experience.

Ik had de ossenhaas en dit waren twee kleine medaillons. Er werd niet gevraagd hoe deze gebakken moesten worden. Na afloop maakte ik de opmerking dat het wat weinig was. Ik kreeg als antwoord terug ach als het maar lekker was. Dit zal ongetwijfeld met de leeftijd te maken van het personeel hebben gehad. Maar het was voor ons een keertje en nóóit weer. Ook was het zeer koud in dit restaurant

Nice restaurant where you can eat for a reasonable amount. My friend is a big eater and found the portions a bit small. But for a "normal" eater it's okay. Service is good and the food tasty.

On November 12, I received confirmation of my reservation for Christmas Day at 4:30 PM at Bregje Nijmegen. On Christmas Day at 4.25 pm I walked in on Bregje and was sent away like a little boy. We wouldn't have made a reservation. This is back home with 5 small children and the only option is that you can go in the spring. Walking back with the 5 children after picking up the car from home and going to Lent. Christmas after the… Very bad!

Cozy place to sit, friendly staff who also pay attention. Opted for the choice of six tasting sandwiches, definitely recommended.

We had dinner here with a group of 7. The starter all went well and was tasty too. We then had to wait 1 hour for our main course, some were even cold again. After the main course we also had to wait almost 1 hour for dessert. We can't say that we were really full after eating, as the portions were very small. We had to speak to the waiter ourselves and did not come to the table to take drinks. A nice place to sit, but I won't go there again.

It was very busy, and that wasn't the problem, it was the noise! There are no curtains or anything to dampen the sound, all the sound bounces back, which was a shame...otherwise it was fine!!

It all took a very long time. We didn't get a chance to order a drink even though we made eye contact several times. Then I didn't get the menu, the starter for me was sushi, the rice was fried extremely hard and it almost broke my teeth, and it tasted like nothing. It was cold, it all took a very long time, even though we had passed all the courses immediately. The main course was fine but too much onion, the dessert was also a disappointment. Really delicious food, wide choice and super affordable. Service was a little quick with clearing, but that shouldn't spoil the fun.

Had a nice meal with my family for a fair price! 4 people, 3 course menu, dessert and 2 drinks each. Lost €122. Will definitely come back!

Even though we reserved the wrong date, they still made room for us. Very nice! It was busy so we had to wait a relatively long time, but the service made up for it. The food was very tasty, even though the starter had cooled down a bit before it was delivered. The price/quality is really very good.

Het eten is echt goed voor de prijs wat je betaald. Ik vind het heel knap dat dit nog kan. Super lekkere toetjes en heel leuk kun je share dining doen krijg je een etagère met verschillende hapjes. De sfeer is prima meisje in de bediening super aardig( met bril sorry weet je naam niet) drankjes ook allemaal leuk. Wij komen zeker eens terug.

Are you on a Saturday evening, finally able to eat at the Bregje tasting room, the pulled chicken taco is gone, during the week I can imagine, but that is a Saturday, which is a shame

We arrived at our table and within a few minutes we were politely asked if we wanted a sandwich in advance and if we wanted to order a drink. We have both agreed to this. After we indicated that the table was wobbly, we were given some felt pads to place under one of the legs ourselves. Then came the bottle of wine with some glasses. It was put on the table and we were apparently allowed to pour it ourselves. We were sitting near quite loud groups, as soon as a table was available they came and asked us if we wanted to move. We saw to this, as it was indeed quite loud around us. In the end we waited almost an hour for our bread, after we had already indicated this twice before. The waitress also literally said, I'm going to pick it up: this apparently took another 20 minutes at that point and took another waitress to bring. Shortly afterwards the starter arrived, which was delicious. Then the main course. The spareribs fell off the bone with a delicious marinade. Only the prawn crackers with the chicken satay were clearly natural. The dessert was tasty, but it was a pity that the cheese board mainly consisted of brie-like flavors. We really had nothing to complain about the food for this price! However, things were starting to calm down towards our dessert. This apparently gave the house mouse a chance to move around. When we indicated that there was a mouse walking, the response was: “Ooh yes we know.” While we drank our bottle of wine, he regularly walked past the surrounding tables. Maybe something for the Value Inspection Service after all?? Do you remember that program on TV where they checked catering establishments...

Delicious lunch. The 12 hour, both the meat and the vegetarian version, was very tasty. Deliciously filled tomato soup, fresh roll with generous toppings. More than worth the price!

Excellent price/quality ratio for the food. Clear menu with something to choose from for (almost) everyone. However, the "warm cherries" with my panna cotta were room temp. The service was very good. There was a young man doing the entire top floor by himself, but he was very attentive and quick. Nice decor, but a bit noisy in terms of acoustics.

Very loud, you can hardly hear each other. Sparse intention in terms of food, 1 hour between courses.. Too bad there is no lactose-free option for dessert. Think of sober ice cream, or a bowl of fruit or something, no thought was given

We enjoyed the evening and had delicious food and drinks. We would love to come back.

We arrived here on a Saturday at 5:45 pm. An hour and a half later we had our main course. The teenage girl staff clearly doesn't understand anything about working in the catering industry. Apparently just bringing 5 menus is rocket science for them. Furthermore, bringing drinks took forever. Did I mention they forgot to prepare our appetizer in the kitchen? No, they forgot that. Normally you would offer a drink for the inconvenience, but no, these kinds of things are apparently part of the deal at budget tent Bregje. Finally, after an hour and a half, we finally got the main course. One of the kids was served frikandels instead of the ordered hot dog. Of course, they also look very similar in the eyes of girls who have just graduated from high school. To top off this culinary disaster, the cold pork tenderloin medallions even contained rotten bacon. I will probably have a lot of fun on the toilet tonight. All in all, totally miserable. Do yourself a favor and please spend a little more money and go to a good restaurant for a nice evening, because after two and a half hours you will leave the place frustrated and half sick. The only person who laughs his head off is the money-grubber who rakes in piles of euros in his spacious villa without giving a damn about customers and his staff (because they were clearly understaffed and incompetent).

Not a good meal, and glasses are hardly taken away. Atmosphere is hip and pleasant. There is no arguing about taste, some other family members did enjoy their meal.

I had lunch here yesterday September 21, 2024 and I wanted a cocktail where I didn't like 1 ingredient. The staff didn't make a fuss about this at all and made a similar cocktail with ingredients that I liked. I thought that was so sweet. You are often afraid that you will be difficult to find, but at Proeflokaal Bregje that is no problem. I had dinner here before with 2 friends and it is a really nice, cozy place to have something to eat. definitely highly recommended!
