Friendly waitress. Otherwise just fine.

We were looking for a place to have a nice meal. Two places were open, one of which had a terrace completely full. So we went to the other place. We should not have eaten. The waitress arrived with we are using up the stock so we don't have much left and mentioned the things they still had. Satay was also still there but she would rather not have us choose that because then they would have to make the 'entire' satay. We thought that was a bit strange because everything you offer you have to make anyway but oh well... We chose something and had a bread board as a starter. Well the bread was very dry really not tasty... We had just finished the bread board and then the main course was ready very quickly. For a schnitzel, spare ribs and steak. Well we found out because it just tasted like it was reheated. After a few bites the food was cold. Finally we looked at some reviews that were online and here we read a lot of the same things as we did. We also read there that the prices do not match what you end up paying. Remember this is a review from 2 years ago that we read. We asked for the bill and had to pay 105 euros. Asked for the receipt and indeed everything we had ordered was 3 euros more expensive on the receipt than on the menu. Very strange we called the waitress back to say that this was not correct. She took the receipt inside and compared it. She came back with change and that it was indeed incorrect because the new prices were in the cash register but not yet on the menu. This was because the menus were not delivered while this was also the case in the review we read from 2 years ago. We left with the comment remember that these are the prices for the next time. To which we replied that the menu must also be correct. Furthermore, the atmosphere was very nice and we enjoyed ourselves, but we would definitely not go there again!!

Today I had lunch on the pleasant terrace. The service, consisting of one woman, was constantly coming and going. My compliments to her. The deluxe toasted sandwich was decent. A bit bland, with lots of onion and mushrooms. The freshly baked bread was good, though. The fried eggs were not great. The two eggs were broken and fried far too quickly. A shame.

Because everything is closed on Mondays, we were forced to eat at Candia. Our drinks arrived fairly quickly, then we were given the menu, and it took ages for them to ask what we wanted to eat. After that, it took an incredibly long time for the food to arrive. It was supposed to come with salad, vegetables, and fries. The fries arrived, but they weren't really warm; the "salad" was already on the plate, and there wasn't much to see. I didn't see any vegetables. I think the Angus burger was a pre-made, frozen burger. Absolutely awful. Never again!

On my husband's 50th birthday, we went for a meal from our campsite in Crimea during our vacation. The Italian restaurant seemed like a nice spot on this sultry Monday summer evening. Unfortunately, the terrace was packed and there was no room for our group, so we settled at the neighbor's: Candia. If only we had gone back and lit the barbecue... This doesn't deserve a star. 👎 The only server on the half-full terrace immediately listed everything that was on the menu. So we couldn't order anything else. There wasn't much left. There was still beef tenderloin satay for one person, so we (the other three) opted for the carpaccio salad with mixed seeds and sun-dried tomatoes with pesto and Parmesan cheese. We had to call the waitress back to ask if we could order drinks. After that, she didn't ask us again. It's a real shame I didn't take a picture because what we got was truly outrageous. A plate of arugula with four slices of carpaccio on top and some shaved Parmesan. A few dots of yellowish sauce with green flecks. THAT'S IT! For €16.50, we were munching away at a plate of arugula like rabbits. Not a single sun-dried tomato, seed mix, or pine nut in sight. No dressing, oil, or anything to swallow the dry lettuce. That's a crying shame, isn't it? The satay was bone dry, with the last scraping of satay sauce from the bottom of the pan poured onto it. A small container of fries with a 0.75 cent charge for a squeeze of fries sauce in an egg cup. What a disaster. And the waitress kept complaining. She was tired, it had been busy, she had already worked three days, etc. Never coming back here again. This place only exists because customers who can't get to the neighbors end up sitting here. It's like a trap! So you've been warned!

Zero☆Do NOT!!!! go on Monday AND NEVER!!!! to Candia because De Heeren is closed you will be ripped off in all ways. We went there with grandpa to eat I ask for special Coffee: unfortunately it is gone the syrups ok the beer menu please: no we hardly have anything left unfortunately. Main course I fries with salad and seasonal vegetables (greengrocer is sick) but you do pay for it, meat and fish was very little for the money. Dessert 1 scoop of ice cream with whipped cream 5 euros and the waffle was hard as a rock so we went back with that the owner was not amused. Paid anyway I walk back I see that the prices were ultimately 13 euros more expensive than on the menu to which the owner replies this still has to be adjusted. Now I see a review from months ago!!!!!!!! Then it was already SCANDALOUS TENT NEVER GO THERE!!!!! A Coevorden resident

I ate a disastrously bad tuna sandwich. They promised a deluxe sandwich with homemade tuna, topped with capers, egg, and the like. What you get are two supermarket sandwiches with a "johma" tuna salad without capers, two thin slices of cucumber, and two pieces of egg! It was truly awful, and all for €9.50... so not recommended.

Rushed food, reheated, dry, and from bags and jars. On the plus side, they were one of the few open on Mondays.

Geen aandacht voor het bereiden van het eten. Lunch mosterdsoep en 2 vleeskroketten met brood . Soep was veel te dik en klonterig. Kroketten slap, vet in oud frituurvet gebakken, plasje bruin vet onder de kroketten op het bord, komkommer als garnering was oud, nog net niet beschimmeld. Zeer slecht, voor ons nooit weer Candia

Made a reservation and arrived at an empty restaurant with no people present. Pity

Vriendelijke dame die ons hielp. Flexibel en gastvrij. Tegelijkertijd bleek dat de prijzen op de kaart niet overeenkomen met de kassa. Bediening gaf aan dat ze dit vaker hebben aangegeven bij de eigenaar. Blijkbaar wordt dit niet opgepakt door de eigenaar! Jammer! € 6.- voor een bokbiertje in Coevorden (off all places) is ook een pittige prijs!

Alles was goed, de service was top, genoeg aandacht...ik had wel iets besteld en toch een andere iets ipv gekregen, maar was niet erg!

Prima restaurant met een kleine kaart, maar goede gerechten. Vriendelijke bediening.

het eten was goed en de bediening vriendelijk, maar de gerekende prijzen op de bon zijn hoger dan op de kaart, een beetje jammer want dat geeft een rare nasmaak.

Koffie gedronken met huisgemaakte monchou taart. Lekkere koffie, alleen zijn de stukken monchoutaart te groot omdat het erg machtig is. Ook niet goedkoop voor 5 euro per stuk. De helft van het stuk taart was genoeg geweest. Dan kon de prijs ook wat schappelijker. Wel vriendelijke en vlotte ober en mooi terras.

Eten was goed.bediening niet echt vriendelijk.

Beste verdienmodel ooit. Gasten volgooien met patat (die overigens erg lekker was) en vervolgens een schnitzel in 8 stukjes snijden, en 1 stukje serveren als "Tapas". Ditzelfde gold voor een hapjesschaal met blokjes kaas/worst/komkommer, de standaard dingen die je op een Nederlandse verjaardag ook ziet. Onbewust doen wij dus allemaal aan tapas verjaardagen. Niet nagedacht over een optie voor kinderen om te eten, ondanks dat dit ruim van te voren was aangegeven.

Heel erg genoten van het eten! Het was erg fijn dat we op het laatste moment nog even konden blijven eten. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en het eten was echt niets op aan te merken, echt een aanrader! Toiletten waren ook mooi schoon, ook wel fijn :)

Hier als lunch een smakelijke huisgemaakte gehaktbal gehad met patat en mayonaise, was prima. Relaxte atmosfeer, uitzicht over het plein. Heel betaalbaar.

Wunderschön, gutes Essen, klassische niederländische Küche für ein Cafe/ Bistro. Aber trotzdem fein. Gute Preise und schneller aufmerksamer Service. Zum Glück sind wir Ende 2022 noch einmal in der Nähe

Veel ruimte op het terras. Van binnen ziet het er prachtig en modern uit. Genoeg keuze qua menu. Het eten smaakte heerlijk. Vriendelijke bediening.

Lekker eten en drinken! Alleen met 1 persoon bediening binnen en buiten is het helaas wat langer wachten op alles.

Heerlijke salade geitenkaas. Lekker witbier.

Prima koffie en heerlijk gebak gegeten met echte slagroom. Je kunt er ook gezellig zitten.

Prima maaltijden voor redelijke prijs

Mooie plek op het marktplein. Groot terras. Vriendelijke bediening. Jammer dat er zo veel wespen zijn. Maar het eten is goed verzorgd en lekker. Zelf genoot ik van een salade carpaccio en mijn echtgenoot at met smaak van zijn saté van de haas. Jammer alleen dat de pindasaus te wensen over liet.

Hier geweest voor de lunch. Vriendelijk personeel die regelmatig informeren of alles naar wens is. Ik had een saté met frites, niets mis mee, alleen kok, saté saus uit een kuipje van Wijko? Hoe laag kun je zinken. Dat heeft dus echt helemaal niets met saté saus te maken. En hoe moeilijk is het om het zelf te maken, zeker met alle half fabricaten die bij de groothandel te koop zijn. Ik kan zo een cursus geven hoe een goede saté saus te maken, flinke voorraad en dan gewoon invriezen, heb je altijd saus bij de hand. En ik geef je op een briefje, met deze saus zijn de satés niet meer aan te slepen.

Lekker gegeten. Buiten onder de luifel. Goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding!

Leuk en gezellig. Goede en snelle bediening. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en een gezellig uitzicht over de markt. Een aanrader, alleen de satésaus uit een kuipje van Wijko, dat kan véél beter. Het verpest het hele gerecht. Zonde en is zeker niet nodig.

Goed restaurant, ondanks de mega onderbezetting zijn de dames erg snel,lopen hun benen onder hun lijf vandaan. Zeer vriendelijk,schoon,heerlijl eten

Al jaren kom ik, alleen of in gezelschap, bij Candia. Soms alleen wat te drinken, een andere keer ook iets te eten. Altijd is het daar goed toeven, het eten en drinken is top en de gastvrijheid/bediening super. Het is niet voor niets dat ik hier steeds terugkom
