Cafe Restaurant Floor in Rotterdam Centrum

Wat een FANTASTISCHE plek! Heerlijke binnentuin, maar ook voor de deur kan je heerlijk onder de parasols zitten en heerlijk kijken naar schouwburgplein. Heerlijke steak gegeten met huisgemaakte friet. Verder genoten van de nodige drankjes, top middag/avond. Zeker een aanrader. Goed personeel en snelle bediening.

Een soep met kerrie kokos en granny smith appel. Alle deze ingredienten ken ik, maar niet in deze combinatie, en wat was het lekker. Pittig en een beetje zoet. Heel apart. En op een hete dag is het goed vertoeven in de binnentuin.

Mooie tuin, en een heerlijke 3 kazen omelet waarin niet bezuinigd was op de hoeveelheid kaas. Hoop dat dit gerecht nog lang op het menu blijft staan. Service was ook perfect, werd goed geholpen toen ik een betaal probleem had.

I would fire the cook immediately. Very mediocre food. Bisque from a can. Handful of Norwegian shrimps, the Dutch ones are probably too expensive? Catfish tasteless, some cherry tomatoes from the oven. A few fried potato wedges. Did you enjoy it was the obligatory question. No was our answer. Oh. And that was it. Mijn moeder en ik gaan al jaren naar Floor en het eten en de bediening is altijd prima. Gisteren hadden we een, voor ons, nieuwe dame, blond met een knotje, die ons bediende en dat was echt teleurstellend, tot 2x toe kregen we onze drankjes en koffie niet, als ze vraagt voor wie het gerecht is, zet ze het alsnog niet goed neer en ze draaide zich om nog voordat je iets kon zeggen, van vriendelijkheid was geen sprake. Misschien was ze nieuw, ze gooide ook nog een fles op de grond, maar ze past wat ons betreft niet bij de rest van de vriendelijke en alerte bediening. Hopelijk was het een eenmalige invalbeurt

Een ruim opgezet restaurant met een groot terras. Hebben een grote keuze aan gebak. Vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel. Toiletten zijn voor ieder bereikbaar.

Gezellig met oud-collega's gegeten bij Floor. Wat lastige menukaart, maar alle combinaties zijn mogelijk. Vooraf een pittig soepje daarna buikspek en geëindigd met een Flan. Het eten was van zeer goede kwaliteit en erg smakelijk. Wat mijn ervaring is met Rotterdamse restaurants is dat er veel nadruk gelegd wordt op het drank verbruik en daar zijn zij geen uitzondering op.

Nice café with a terrace outside in the summer. Outside service can sometimes be a bit slow. Ate in today: the hamburger. What can I say: not bad but not tasty either. Nowadays everyone serves hamburgers and tries to make something special with strange (purple) bread and caramelized onions, etc., etc. I wasn't too fond of the taste. 1ste Paasdag was het jammer genoeg nog geen terrasweer, maar comfortabel binnen gezeten. Rustig, muziek op een prima volume, vriendelijke bediening. Perfecte uiensoep met spekjes. Niet te veel spek zodat de soep te vet werd, maar de smaak was toch duidelijk aanwezig bij iedere hap. Lekker broodje oude Rotterdammer kaas. (Zou dat niet Rottendammert moeten heten? :-) ) En als klap op de vuurpijl een glaasje wijn van het huis.

March 13 I had lunch at cafe Floor. It was a super successful afternoon!! Partly because of the sweet service that comes to you just often enough and helps you with a smile

Had lunch before a matinee. Hamburger on bun. Hamburger was quite coarse and was on a pink bun. Looks much better on white bread. Under the hamburger was a raw slice of fatty bacon, on top of which were some strings of onion. No lettuce, pickle or piece of tomato. This could be much better!!!

Due to its location and size, Floor is a central meeting place for everyone. In theory. In practice, you have to be from GenZ to feel good among the staff. Employees are introverted, mainly concerned with each other and in case of questions and misunderstandings they are not as alert and communicative as you would like as a manager. As I would like as a manager, at least. I know, the staff shortage also poses unwanted challenges to entrepreneurs in the catering industry. But why do other cafés and restaurants succeed? Floor is a veteran at the Schouwburgplein who, as far as I am concerned, will remain there for a long time. Potentially a household name. But please make sure that people over 18 also feel at home there. Then I at least dare to invite my “senior” parents here, or have drinks here with my “middle” friends after the performance.

My go-to place to grab a drink and a bite before seeing a play at the theater next-door. I love Floor; it feels like coming home every time I step foot in this place. It's the place I get excited to leave from to dive into another dramaturgical adventure - and where I long to return to afterwards, so I can rest my bones and my soul once again before facing the real world.

Unfortunately, the classic Floor also cannot escape the curse of a completely disinterested staff who are mainly concerned with themselves and have no idea of ​​hospitality. Bad, slow service. I ordered the shrimp bisque from the lunch menu, along with my companion who ordered something from the LUNCH menu, but they charged the full amount, oh and it was disgusting in taste too. The toilet also smelled awful.

Ik was gisteravond in Rotterdam. In de Ahoy was de Nationale Taptoe. Ik ben daar geweest. Maar van te voren eert gegeten. Op advies bij Floor. Zalig gegeten. Een aanrader. Schouwburgplein 28, Rotterdam.

Drankje gedronken. Leuke binnentuin. Vriendelijke bediening. Prima!

Heel aparte en vreemde bediening, met een vriend in de tuin gezeten, glas hard op de tafel neerzetten door een Indisch achtige dame. Geen dank je wel voor een vrij riante fooi op een rekening van 53 euro en 60 euro afgerond. Stoeltjes wiebelen en het is er sfeerloos. Eten hebben we er maar niet gedaan. Voor ons geen Floor meer. Zo zonde want de zaak is mooi.

I really like the back yard, especially on a sunny day. I have been there twice, the first time the service was really bad, we were waiting half an hour to order and then even more to get our coffee, and the waiter didn't seem to care. The second time the service was very good and the waitress was very kind ,even when it was really busy. So I guess it depends on the person. Good food, just tried a salad but I heard really good comments about the burger.

The food is good, a little experimental. The service is impecable. Came by often enough, but not too much and very friendly. The atmosphere is very stylised, it did not make me very comfortable but to each their own.

Achtertuin van Floor is een parel in de drukke stad. Een echte aanrader. Met een goede menu en ook heerlijke mocktails!

We waren hier voor de Drag Diner Show. Heerlijk gegeten en geweldige entertainment. Heerlijk gelachen en vermaakt door de drie dames. De bediening was ook super.

Wij hadden poke bowl, dumplings met asperge en dorade besteld. De rijst van de bowl was eigenlijk niet te eten, de dumplings waren niet gaar en vulling was een vieze brij, echt slecht. Hebben hier eerder wel eens gegeten, maar dit was echt de laatste keer.

De cocktails zijn erg goed. De aandacht is goed, hoewel er maar één ober was. De sfeer was vertroebeld omdat er een tafel stond met 4 studentenachtige mensen tussen de 20-24 jaar oud met de houding van kinderen, ze renden overal heen (vergeef de kinderen voor de vergelijking) blijkbaar viel niemand ons alleen lastig. Onze bedoeling was om te gaan eten maar gezien de sfeer kozen we voor een drankje en gingen we uit.

Voor het eerst hier geweest, maar ook meteen de laatste keer. Geen vriendelijk personeel. Ze hadden er allemaal geen zin in, continu bij de bar op hun telefoon. Eten was ook niet super had een sandwich zalm besteld, maar dat was meer een sandwich sla met 2 plakjes zalm. Jammer, want de zaak ziet er verder prima uit.

Sinds jaar en dag een fijn café met lekkere happen, goede wijnen, goede sfeer en alert, vriendelijk personeel. Erg mooie tuin in de zomer.

We hebben geluncht in de tuin. De muziek was erg hard wat de sfeer teniet deed , gelukkig werd het zachter gezet zodat ik mijn tafelgenote ook nog kon verstaan. Heel prettig. We hadden een klein twaalf uurtje. Prima voor kleine eters.

In de zomer zit ik graag in de tuin achter het restaurant. De bediening en het eten zijn goed. Het restaurant zelf vind ik niet zo gezellig

Het personeel is niet klantvriendelijk

I like coming here for a drink. Especially in summer when their secret garden is open it is an oasis in the middle of the noise and the hurry. Not a big fan of their food, though. I guess it is me, because lots of people come here to eat and seem satisfied. Maybe so far I have just always chosen the wrong dish at the wrong time. Will give it another try one of these days. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise me in a pleasant way. They do have heaters outside, which makes this a good place to go when it is chilly yet you still want to sit outside ... to smoke for example.

Goed en uitstekend eten voorafgaand aan een theaterbezoek

Het was toen ik kwam erg druk waardoor de service wat langzaam was, personeel wel vriendelijk. Een gezellige sfeer, wel luidruchtig. Heb er niet gegeten dus kan dat niet beoordelen. Update: ik kwam toen het rustig was en de service was nog steeds langzaam. Het is op zich wel rolstoeltoegankelijk maar het is niet rolstoelvriendelijk voor de wc. Erg jammer. Het eten was echt heel goed. Alleen zeker niet goedkoop.

We were there during the marathon and managed to seat us without reservation so kudos to the staff for working with our large party. My burger was very nice but had a lot of raw garlic. So the rest of the day I had garlic taste 😅

Personeel had er totaal geen zin in, en bleef bij elke order zuchten. Ook werd er gevraagd of wij wilde lunchen, toen daan het antwoord: Nee. op kwam was de reactie: Thank god! Erg jammer, misschien had de betreffende serveerster een kantoor baantje moeten zoeken.

Een aantal jaar geleden kwam ik hier regelmatig. Helaas is de kwaliteit van de bediening, maar ook van het eten niet meer wat was. Ondanks dat het echt heel rustig was, lukte het de bediening niet om binnenlopende gasten op te vangen, opnemen van een eerste drankje duurde erg lang en om de menukaart moesten we uiteindelijk zelf maar vragen.

Eten was zeer zeer matig. Smakeloze vis (we denken diepvries) met fantasieloze smakeloze groenten. Oneetbare tomatensoep door veel te veel zout. Een van ons had na 1 hap niets meer hiervan gegeten. Na melding werd er niets mee gedaan (behalve dat ze het "zullen doorgeven"). Van alle bediening was er maar 1 echte professional, rest ongeïnteresseerd. Komen voor eten niet meer terug. Wel prima voor een drankje na voorstelling
