The worst Lekkerbek I've had in years, the quality is truly awful!!!!

At the end of the day, old fat, and the kibbeling was covered in a thick layer of batter.

Mussels with brown bread? Why not fries and salad like at the other beach bars? The mussels were very tasteless, and that is not even mentioning the service. My son wasn't even asked if he wanted something to eat.

What an incredibly cozy beach bar this is. The location is ideal and it has a really nice atmosphere. I found the chicken satay very tasty and presented in a fun way. The staff is incredibly friendly and radiates an infectious joy. In short, highly recommended!

The kibbeling was very tough, and the thicker pieces felt completely raw inside, like chewing on rubber. For that price, you should expect at least fresh cod kibbeling. I must say that the staff provided excellent service; they gave us a new portion after we reported the toughness, but this portion was the same. Ultimately, we returned the portions and received a refund. It was handled nicely, but it would be best to address this; it is a real shame!

Last Saturday, a wonderful day out. We took the metro to Hoek van Holland. Everything was great, so I happily ordered a tasty snack from the stall at this beach bar. The day's special: kibbeling (fried fish) with fries... The fries were decent, but a bit greasy. But the kibbeling was incredibly dangerous. Bones were 2 to 3 mm thick and 6 to 7 cm long. And about 3 each. I stopped after 2 and informed the staff. The container was quickly removed from the counter, with a moderate apology...

We ate here on Saturday after a day at the beach. The food was okay, the atmosphere was good, but the service could have been better in some areas. Also, the kitchen closed rather early (9 p.m.). Unfortunately, this wasn't indicated, and cakes with coffee weren't available after that time. Pretty strange for a Saturday night.

July 1, 2025, it was so hot 🥵 In the afternoon, overcome by the heat, quickly took shelter inside, but I wasn't doing well hihihihi Staff was concerned🙏 took very good care of me: with ice cold water, wet tea towel, bowl of fresh fruit, salt, and constantly....are you okay? The owner said: lie down on the couch there for a while, feeling better, his wife also came to me for a moment🥰. SALT with fries 😂 worked in, was a bit with the people again. Outside, the biggest ice cream there was ... worked in. I get up ......whoo, not good..... Off to the first aid then, what sweethearts there too. Great care for me🩼🩻🩺. After half an hour, back on my feet, AND with screeching tires back to BRABANT hahahaha. Dear NORTH NORTH WEST, FIRST AID Thank you very much for your good care.... GOLD 👌💯🏆🏅🙏

🌟 Top experience at Strandtent Noord West – Hoek van Holland! 🌟 What a wonderful place! We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon here at the beach. The cocktail "Coffee Ice Cappuccino with Kahlua" is highly recommended - perfectly balanced and wonderfully refreshing with a full coffee flavor. The Heineken beer also tasted great: well chilled and exactly as it should be on a sunny day at the sea. The service was super friendly and smooth, nothing was too much to ask. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location is great - with a view of the sea and a nice wind in your hair. In short: highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing day at the beach with good drinks and top service. We will definitely be back!

Kibbeling is just not tasty, takes a long time. Fries are ok

It takes forever to get someone, not everyone can take orders and the pizzas were inedible.

Today sat there for the first time on the terrace and ate and drank something. Relaxed atmosphere. Fortunately no loud music. Super fast and friendly service. Normal prices. So very worthwhile, will definitely come back. We have found our beach tent👍

When I arrived, the staff greeted me in such a friendly and cheerful way that it immediately made a good impression. I had the kibbeling, which was really tasty—crispy and well prepared. Much better than I expected based on the reviews. I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt like the recent negative ones didn’t reflect my experience at all. The service was warm, the staff were kind, and the place had a relaxed, welcoming beach vibe. Definitely worth stopping by.

How can you ruin a simple and tasty dish...? Kibbeling tough, yes tough and too greasy. Good fries only a shame about so much salt and fries spices, made no sense. Az bile yazdım! Location, service and atmosphere is certainly good.

Yes, where should I start. Just plain BAD in capital letters. Ordered a large bowl of kibbeling for which you have to pay 10 euros and which only contains 8 pieces of fish. I am writing fish now, but we doubt whether it was fish. The kibbeling was so tough and stringy that my child thought it was chicken. In addition, it was so fatty that you could squeeze it. Yuck. I think it was old fat. Not to mention the bad taste that was covered up with a load of fish spices. In short, the worst kibbeling we have ever eaten in our lives and hopefully will never eat again.

I can only comment on the coffee and the apple pie; the apple pie was one of the best I've ever had! Great view, right on the beach and sheltered from the wind! The waitress was nice, the toilets were clean.

Do not eat fish there. Smallest, I tried in NL and not tasty, plus stuff forgot the fries.

After a day at the beach we got a delicious soft ice cream (on the small terrace on the large square) and ate it on the lounge sofa, delicious! Staff friendly and helpful and nice music.

Today I wanted to eat there inside the restaurant with 2 small children. 1 employee [woman] said that we cannot sit inside because the service is only outside. That we have to go outside. Inside, 1 family was already busy eating. The family was also shocked what this woman is saying now that is not normal. Restoration is outside and inside. Never going there again

We stopped here only for a coffee, I ordered a cappuccino was nice and I love the cookie, but takes a lot of time to give us a table and bring the menus even if the place wasn't busy at all. The place is pet friendly this was nice to see the dogs 😍, they have a small place with a box of toys so kids can enjoy the time on it.

Bad service! Finally found a place we wanted to have lunch. Service did not come. After fifteen minutes a young man approached us to ask if we could order. He said: we are no longer taking new orders, and he was gone. Bizarre!!!!

Simple meal chosen. I got a mayo/mustard sauce with it. I didn't know such a combination before. It is tasty and mild in taste. It's a nice place, friendly staff, and I didn't have to wait long for my food. While eating I was joined by the sparrows present.

We ordered a combideal for 14 euro and a shrimp crocket. The fish was ieder very old or fried twice. it was very dry and didn’t taste very good. Furthermore it was slised very thinly so most pieces had barely any fish but batter. The crocket wasn’t cooked through - was cold inside. They made me a new one. The service was rather friendly. Food not recommended at all.

Order was ready quickly. Kibbeling was very tough, looked like chewing gum. After dinner we felt nauseous. I have reported this to the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority. For this price you expect something better. For next time: first check reviews, then order...

Total chaos and disappointing ice creams. Staff rude

Absolutely horrific experience! Don't bother coming in, you are in for an old fish and terrible attitude. We came in and asked for a combideal of fish and chips for 14€. The young man that was behind the bar served us immediately a batch of who knows how old fish - in any case it was not freshly fried (with his hands without any gloves) and decided to start with frying the fries. I addressed that we want to eat it at the same time (fish & chips, duh) and not have cold fish and fresh fries but the guy answered with a really bad attitude why should that matter, right?! Well it did to us. So he started serving us old fries he had lying there one by one instead (yet again, with his bare hands). We tried to address this but he said he washed his hands (not really caused he was using the card machine right before, etc.). His solution was to refry the fish which then gets way too dry. We just walked away without food or our money because we were just not getting anywhere with that guy. To the manager, if you are reading this, please higher nicer people and make sure you explain proper hygiene and manners, cause this was very stressful. Instead of a nice kibbeling on the beach we got shitty attitude, no food and lost our money.

Good fish and chips. Taste is good, just a little too hearty.
