The miracle of Soest! Making a reservation is even harder than at De Librije. This is because the couple is closed one month and open again the next. "I've previously shared photos of this place that many visitors have seen — so I'm adding a current photo so others can get a good idea." True Soest locals and regulars know exactly when. It's always busy; this restaurant isn't good, it's excellent! The best meat, the best fish, everything homemade – even all the sauces. And all that in a tiny kitchen with only four burners. BEWARE! This is a night out, so don't expect a quick bite and then off you go. You'll be warned about this at the start; it's clearly stated on the first page of the menu. All the 1-star reviews about long wait times are completely missing the point. We had to wait a long time too, but it was more than worth it. If you're preparing for a night out, three hours of dining is actually quite enjoyable. The dishes arrived at exactly the right time. The host (also the owner) has truly invented hospitality: he has an eye for detail, pours absurdly large glasses of wine, and always gives you something extra. He's a chatty person and maintains a perfect overview. A true hospitality professional. On Mondays and Tuesdays, he and his wife buy their own ingredients. So he knows exactly what he's talking about when it comes to quality. He chooses only the very best; an extensive menu with a changing, extensive off-the-menu menu. Everything we ate—and I mean absolutely everything—was absolutely delicious. From the meat, the tuna, the fish trio, the fries, the salad, the mayonnaise: everything was top-notch! This restaurant is now in my personal top 3 of best restaurants in the Netherlands. Large portions, very refined, all the flavors perfectly balanced. There's really nothing that could be better (perhaps slightly smaller portions – we had no room for dessert). Recommended: carpaccio, fish trio, tuna, Argentinian steak. We've already made another reservation for a few months from now. This restaurant has been around for 32 years, but it's a gem that hasn't been discovered by everyone yet. Do you want to experience truly unique flavors and the best quality meat, fish, and vegetables? Then this restaurant is for you! I rarely spend the entire evening raving about how good the food is – and people who read my reviews know I'm not easily impressed. If you come across a 1-star review, it's almost certainly from people who had to wait a long time. But everything is fresh and prepared on the spot, and you can taste it. If you read a review from someone who didn't like the food, I can confidently say: that person doesn't understand quality. I recently ate there for the second time with friends, and everything was excellent again! Unfortunately, the tuna was sold out, but the chef truly knows how to transform simple dishes into something special. The Argentinian steak strips are highly recommended as a starter; they were very tender. The Iberico steak is also excellent in terms of flavor. A very large portion. Even the apple pie with ice cream was exceptionally delicious in terms of flavor and presentation—top notch again! We'll be eating there again soon, because I want everyone to have a truly special and enjoyable meal. A cozy, old-fashioned restaurant where all the food is freshly prepared in the pan. The owners are incredibly friendly and have been running this restaurant together for years. The food is always delicious. We love coming here. Make sure to book in advance: they're not always there, but when they are, it fills up quickly.

It's almost better than cumming

Horrible owner. The steak was inedible, and the man can't stand feedback. He gets defensive and suggests we, as customers, are crazy and lying. No go.

We had a wonderful meal with our family at t Plukje. The friendly host really pampered us. His kitchen staff prepared the food deliciously. And the interior was very atmospheric. We will definitely be back.

What happens at 't Plukje is simply magic from the kitchen. I don't write reviews often, but 't Plukje deserves one. As soon as you enter this traditional, traditional, café-like establishment, you're transported back to the 1970s. Brown tables and matching chairs give the small restaurant a cozy atmosphere, and the old-fashioned pendant lamps complete the look. You're then welcomed by the cheerful and witty host, and when you hear about the dishes "off the menu," you quickly realize this man knows what he's talking about. There's a rich menu with many delicious dishes, but it's especially the off-menu dishes that surprise you. It's incredible what happens in that tiny kitchen at the back of the restaurant, because after a while, one dish after another comes out, and it's truly unbelievable how well everything is prepared. Even the starter is a feast. The summer cocktail, for example (also off the menu), was a taste sensation with crayfish and nuts, served with a delicious sauce. The main courses were all incredibly good. The service was excellent, and we'd love to go back soon. I wish everyone the chance, because 't Plukje is a truly memorable experience!

Excellent and atmospheric, your chosen dish is explained very well by the owner. The food was tasty and sufficient. You do have to be patient before it is served. Definitely recommended.

Very cozy place, not for rushing a meal, but to enjoy freshly prepared excellent dishes, superb starters and delicious deserts.

Best restaurant in Soest and surrounding areas! Rob is a great host. Sometimes the food takes a little longer, but that is because one person cooks in a small kitchen, even when the restaurant is completely full. The food is delicious and the wait (which I actually like, you can catch up with your company) is well worth it! If you want to eat quickly, go to McDonalds. I would like to eat here one evening every week.

Worth repeating. Delicious food, pleasant and friendly service

Het eten was prima, de bediening was een regelrechte hork. De hond kreeg nog net geen schop toen ze niet snel genoeg aan de kant ging tijdens het uitserveren. Omdat het eten sowieso al erg lang duurde (ruim 1,5u voor een voorgerecht) stelden we de vraag wanneer we het hoofdgerecht ongeveer konden verwachten ivm de reistijd van een enkeling in de groep. Hierop werden we ronduit respectloos behandeld, de bediende was van vragen namelijk NIET gediend. Meneer vond het nodig om ons al schreeuwend door de zaken te kakken te zetten, want “we waren de hele avond al vervelend” Het voorgerecht hadden we al op, maar het hoofdgerecht hebben we niet meer afgewacht en zijn hier direct weggegaan. Ik zou iedereen aanraden om hier met een grote boog omheen te lopen.

Good food but it takes a very long time and the service is really extremely rude and unfriendly

De bediening was ronduit onbeschoft. Dat begon al bij aanvang van het eten. Er was een hond mee die, gezien de extreem krappe opstelling maar met moeite uit het looppad kon liggen. We zeiden dat we ons best zouden doen om de hond niet in de weg te laten liggen. Reactie daarop van de eigenaar: ‘je doet helemaal niet je best’. Dat was dus toen we nauwelijks binnen waren. Vervolgens duurde het ruim een uur en 3 kwartier voordat het voorgerecht werd geserveerd. In al die tijd werd er niet 1 keer gevraagd of we iets wilde drinken. Omdat er kinderen mee waren hebben we gevraagd hoe lang het hoofdgerecht nog zou duren. Het antwoord: ‘dat weet ik niet’. Vervolgens heb ik aangegeven dat er dan enkele mensen zouden willen vertrekken. Daarna kregen we dwars door de zaak een enorme tirade over ons heen van de eigenaar. In plaats van 3 personen is toen het hele gezelschap van 9 opgestapt nog voor het hoofdgerecht. Nooit meer dus. Iets langer wachten voor lekker eten: prima. Maar maar bijna 2 uur voor het voorgerecht en dan ook nog zo behandeld worden omdat je gewoon wil weten wat je kan verwachten: ronduit schandalig.

Had dinner at t plukje tonight. After an hour and 45 minutes we got our starter. Very tasty, but waiting that long is of course not acceptable. When we asked how it could take so long for the main course to arrive in connection with people who had to leave, the waiter (Rob) was offended and indicated that we should have reported this in advance. As if we could have expected it to take so long. Everything is freshly prepared. You can certainly taste that, but then the ratio between staff and number of guests is not right. He then told us in front of the entire group that we better leave because we would be annoying all evening. This man really does not understand hospitality. Do not go there.

The food was fine, the service was a complete jerk. The dog just missed getting a kick when she didn't move quickly enough while serving. Because the meal took a very long time anyway (more than 1.5 hours for a starter), we asked the question when we could expect the main course due to the travel time of a few in the group. We were treated downright disrespectfully because the clerk was NOT interested in asking questions. The gentleman felt it necessary to shout at us through things, because "we've been annoying all evening." We had already finished the starter, but we did not wait for the main course and left immediately. I would advise everyone to give a wide berth to this place.

We waren hier voor een verjaardag van een oude man en we werden slecht behandeld de gastheer heeft iemand van ons met een hond beledigd door te zeggen dat ze de hond bij zich moest houden ze zei dat ze haar best deed en de gastheer riep terug je doet niet je best!!! Ook duurde het per gerecht ong 1:30 uur en zijn we eruit gestuurd voor vragen hoe lang het nog duurt (hij gaf geen antwoord) ook heeft hij gezegd dat hij zich aangevallen voelde toen een van ons naar hem toe liep om te vragen hoe lang het nog duurt ook toen diegene aan ons vertelde dat hij het niet wilde zeggen toen degene van ons vroeg waarom schreeuwde hij door de zaal naar onze tafel dat we de hele avond vervelend waren geweest terwijl we 2:15 stil hebben gezeten om te wachten op wat we uiteindelijk maar een gerecht hebben gehad toen we eruit werden gestuurd heeft hij ook nog onze jarige extra laten betalen en toen wij wegliepen was een van ons aan de achterkant van de rij om naar buiten te gaan en hij hoorde de gastheer nog net door de hele kamer roepen: Deze groep mensen is al de hele avond heel irritant geweest en het is goed dat ze weg zijn!!! Ik adviseer iedereen om er niet heen te gaan behalve als je van schreeuwen houd.

Small gem in Soest, but what a very pleasant surprise! Great host who immediately makes you feel welcome with his enthusiasm, quality food and high-level service. It is also nice to see the warning on the menu that serving may take a little longer, because everything is freshly prepared: and we enjoyed doing that, waiting for quality.

Cozy atmosphere, open and friendly owners of the restaurant. The food was really fantastic, it is definitely recommended to take the dishes that are not on the menu (the gentleman will tell you about these dishes when giving the menus). It was really delicious and very nice to eat there. You can see that the dishes are served and prepared with passion.

Everything looks a bit brown cafe-like. The atmosphere is pleasant with honest and tasty food. Friendly owners. I will definitely come back here 👍🏼

Always nice to eat at 't Plukje again. The food is always good as is the service. The only problem is choosing what to order every time. I've been coming here for years and still love it. Always fun and the portions are more than generous, sharing a dish is an option.

Het was weer fantastisch 🤩 eerste dag open na hun vakantie en direct weer ramvol! En de kwaliteit was zo als gewoonlijk als je daar eet weer ongewoon goed! We vierden onze dag van de liefde 🧡 en dat was het!!

Echt heerlijk eten met liefde en zorg bereidt , las net de laatste beoordeling en dacht .. vet? Dat is het alleen als je iets vet besteld bv iets in kruidenboter?! Of roomboter?! Dan weet je dat toch! Als je iets te vieren hebt is tijd geen probleem lijkt mij lekker drankje doen en kletsen ! Alles wordt ter plekke in de pan voor je gemaakt dus ja even tijd nodig . Staat trouwens op de 1e bladzijde van de menukaart! Je moet daar echt altijd op tijd reserveren want ze zitten altijd het hele weekend vol!! Dat zegt wel wat over de kwaliteit lijkt mij! Hoor ook nooit iemand klagen! Altijd vol lof roepend naar de keuken hoe lekker het was! Maar goed niet iedereen is hetzelfde.

Je kunt van mening verschillen, over: *Hoe veel tafels en stoelen je kwijt kan in een ruimte. --> we zaten hutje-op-mutje, *Het lange wachten: ---> het voorgerecht duurde ruim 3 kwartier, -en was vreselijk vet en vol (later die nacht heb ik daarvan de consequenties ervaren ...)-, *Het lange wachten ---> na bijna 2 uur was ons hoofdgerecht er nog steeds niet. Oké er staat dat je wat langer kan moeten wachten, maar 2! uur!! Je kunt hierover allemaal van mening verschillen, ---> maar je schoffeer je gasten niet !! Wij vroegen of ons eten al bereid werd. Toen dat niet het geval was, hebben we de bestelling geannuleerd. En ipv "Ohh, wat jammer voor u, dat u de verjaardag van uw man niet kon vieren zoals u bedacht had" ... ... ... ... , kregen we de wind van voren en waren wíj ongeduldig en wisten wíj niet wat lekker eten was en dat eten koken lang duurde. ... ... vermanend, beschuldigend Volgens mij zijn er veel te veel tafeltjes voor te weinig kookcapaciteit. Dat het eten "ouderwets bereid" vet was, is wellicht een kwestie van smaak, maar een gastheer dient de klanten met egards te bejegenen!

Heerlijk eten, ouderwets flinke porties vakkundig bereid, vriendelijke persoonlijke bediening, gezellige ambiance. Rijden er graag vanuit Lelystad naar toe.

Het was druk voor een doordeweekse avond maar gezellige boel. Attente bediening, uitgebreide kaart, simpel maar goed eten, geen poespas en goede porties.

Gastvrije ontvangst, vriendelijke bediening en echt geweldig lekker eten. Onverwacht culinair pareltje ontdekt. Aanrader!

Super leuk café/restaurantje! We hebben daar gedineerd en het was heerlijk en vers. De eigenaar was heel hartelijk en de locatie zag er heel gezellig uit.

Heerlijk gegeten, lekkere biertjes gedronken en prima service.

Gezellig klein restaurant. Typische Hollandse maaltijden. Ruime porties. Alles kan kwa combinaties. Restaurant wat al 30 jaar bestaat. Bruine Cafe interieur. Er is zelfs een bar omdat t oorspronkelijk een cafe was. De bar is er alleen voor de mensen die komen eten. Dus even borrelen vooraf of achteraf. Super gezellig. Het eten is formidabel. Alles wordt per tafel bereid, dus vooral geen haast hebben. Wel voor vlees en vis liefhebbers.

Wel een beetje geduld, maar is erg lekker en de moeite van wachten waard.

Gisteravond weer gezellig gegeten bij t plukje , het eten is altijd super lekker en vers bereid en de gastheer is ook vriendelijk en gastvrij , we komen snel weer terug !

Fantastisch! Wat was dit lekker. En wat heeft de gastheer alles goed voor elkaar. Hij danst de zaak door om iedereen super vriendelijk te bedienen. En het eten is heerlijk. Reserveren is wel een must, want meer mensen weten deze leuke plek te vinden.

Hier voor het eerst geweest. Zat vol op zaterdagavond. Er wordt per tafel op volgorde gekookt. Soms iets langer wachten. Men houdt zeer goed overzicht. Vriendelijke eigenaar. Grote porties en vooral goed bereid en smaakvol eten en zeer gevarieerde groente erbij. Jaren 70 uitstraling en dat is positief bedoeld. En

This is not a restaurant you will find many tourists in but it’s a smashing little corner serving Dutch traditional food, all homemade from scratch and to a high standard. Lovely atmosphere and decor in an historic building. Please be aware they don’t accept credit cards from outside Netherlands. I got stuck without cash and the manager was very understanding, allowing me to pay a different way later, but there was no warning of this, probably because they don’t expect tourists there.
