Relaxed bar for a drink! Definitely recommended if you're in Amstelveen!

I celebrated my birthday at Café Thijs, and it was fantastic in this super cozy and atmospheric café. The service was fantastic and incredibly friendly. Delicious snacks and drinks. All in all...we had a great time!

A pleasant terrace for a good beer. We didn't order anything to eat, but what was served to the tables next to us looked good.

Really nice bar! The heart and soul of this place is definitely the amazing owner, he's always very friendly and fun to talk to. They got a good selection of beers and other alcoholic beverages, and the bar also hosts events from time to time. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Nice cafe with fantastic beers. Staff is attentive and knows about beers. Owner George is very hospitable. Cafe is nicely situated in the old village of Amstelveen. You can't eat there. I gave the food 4* so as not to lower the overall score.

A top-quality beer café, where they have a wide choice of beer types and are happy to explain this with a lot of knowledge. There is also a wide choice of tasty drinks snacks. In short, you can spend your time here very easily and pleasantly. Highly recommended.

It is a very cozy place where you can warm up in winter or cool down in summer. This is where Café Thijs makes a striking difference - they rotate their beers that fit well with the season. Warm, powerful goats in autumn and winter. Fresh, tasty, and thirst-quenching beers in the summer. They serve snacks, so no food. They even participate in the Amstelveense bokketocht that takes place every autumn. In short, a café where they make it as cozy as possible for you, regardless of the time of year.

A nice and cozy place for a drink with a delicious appetizer (also vegetarian options). There is a lot of knowledge about the different beers and there are several options for, among other things, a draft beer! The pub is beautifully decorated with occasions.

Always pleasant and very personal. Even if you don't come very often, you will immediately feel at home because of the welcome. If you like special beers, then you've come to the right place. I'm more into the wines and they are also excellent.

I had my farewell reception on Tuesday January 16, enjoyed my guests but just as much from George and his crew, thank you guys, it was really GREAT!!

Instantly fell in love with the barkeeper as he guided me through all the sorts of beer they offer. Who cares about a wine tasting if you can have a premium plus beer tasting. P.S. don’t go for the „Biere du Moment“ (the one with the pink elephant) directly, work your way through the portfolio! And then finish when the right „moment“ has come… P.P.S. I will come back - everytime I’m in Amstelveen.

A pleasant, cozy bar with a staff of friendly Bier Ambassadeur. It's hard to describe just how friendly and welcome we felt. We loved the atmosphere. Our visits felt more like meeting with new friends than just stopping in a bar for drinks. Giovanni was knowledgable about beers and steered me towards beers that I enjoyed very much. They have snacks, wine, and mixed drinks in addition to beer. My partner was really happy with her cocktails. Visiting Café Thijs, learning history of the village, and how the bar came to be added greatly to our enjoyment of Amstelveen.
