Café Vredenburg in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

I hereby adapt the text of my previous review, written in emotion. But unfortunately not a good experience.

Insanely expensive for two pints of Grolsch Weizen beer €24.80! If it was a very touristy spot or a fancy place I could almost understand but It's just a very basic bar.

A nice quaint café near the large Hoog Catharine shopping center in Utrecht. We had a very tasty latte macchiato there. We didn't eat anything there, so we can't judge. The service was very quick and friendly. 😊

Great Café, nothing wrong with the old giant, nothing you can do about it anymore. This location was chosen to record a scene for an AVROTROS production, an extremely suitable place. I was having such a good time that before I knew it the footage had already been recorded. The bartender was chill and relaxed, where you could also have a chat and a laugh. He ensures that the place is and remains quiet by standing at the door and not letting anyone in. We were here on a Thursday afternoon. There is a nice and cozy atmosphere, close to the station and if you come by bike, you can easily park your bike, located on a busy cycle path. Toilet is really reminiscent of a brown café, nice and creative and artistic, a work of art.

Had a beer before visiting Tivoli. Nice guy behind the bar. Casual atmosphere with good intentions. Excellent brown pub.

A visit to Utrecht is not complete without a visit to this café!

We went in without expectations. Were surprised by the cozy atmosphere. Not overcrowded, but pleasantly busy. Good choice of beers and served with delicious bitterballen. Will definitely come back for a relaxed after-work drink!

The oldest pub in Utrecht has character, including its owner. It has been "always" there and it feels like it always will be. The kind of place where everybody knows your name. Beers, dark wood, finger food.

nice terrace, good drinks. opposite to another big terrace that is always full (beacause it's bigger and sunnier), this one tends to have more space available. service and beers are good!

Gezellige kroeg om je avond af te sluiten

Two days before and after concert at Tivoli. Nice and cozy. Will be back next time in Utrecht

Gezellig een drankje gedaan ,leuke barman

Went there 10pm on a Sunday. Asked if they had anything to eat. They came out with chips (fries) with mayonnaise. It was delicious. Next night we had the same plus bitterballen. We had Grolsch both nights. An excellent spot and very handy to the station.

Kwam gewoon langs . Lekker in het zonnetje. Aardige bediening. Kom zeker nog eens in de avond!

Gezellig om te borrelen. In het weekend heb ik daar leuk gefeest!

Typische bruine kroeg in het centrum van Utrecht. Er waren op het moment dat wij er waren 3 grotere borrels, hierdoor was het wel heel erg knus.

Mooie plek, veel keuze uit dranken en bieren. En vriendelijk personeel. Gezellig maar klein. Klein min puntje was het vieze toilet.

Gezellig café en een goed bitter garnituur. De Westmalle werd op de juiste temperatuur gebracht en de IPA's smaakte prima. Geen superharde muziek, dus je kon elkaar gewoon verstaan ondanks de drukte.

Leuk cafe en een leuke eigenaar die goed voor zijn gasten zorgt! Hele leuke verjaardag en avond gehad!

Ik was er voor de tweede keer in 30 jaar Utrecht. Ach ja, leuke plek om af te spreken en je eerste (2, in dit geval) biertje te nemen.

Leuke kroeg met mooi uitzicht op TivoliVredenburg. Alleen een nare bijsmaak overgehouden aan ons bezoekje hier, 12 (!!) euro voor een liter fles Spa Rood. Ik snap dat door inflatie prijzen stijgen, alleen dit lijkt me behoorlijk overdreven.

Leuke praatgrage uitbater. Niet echt een plaats waar je gaat zitten als je een rustig terras zoekt want de bussen jakkeren aan de lopende band voorbij. Maar wij zaten er heerlijk en mensen kijken is altijd leuk. 😁😁

Leuke barman en barvrouw en biertjes en snacks, vooral loempia's

A great place for a drink and to meet new people. The staff and owner is very nice and make you feel welcome. I'd recommend to get a drink here.

On our way to the station we wanted to grab a few last drinks. We went to this place. The opposite venue (gegeven paard) was a bit too static. This one -pub style- suited better. Quite busy on Friday evening. Some limited dancing possible. Friendly bartender. Very convenient : a guy walks through the place with his PIN machine so you don't have to stand in line every time to order a drink. Very close to the station , the ugly side entrance to be precise, via such an ugly tunnel footpath. Already ugly already for decades, discovered it still is. I guess good place for people watching on their small terrace also.
