Variety of unique chairs and sofas great for groups of 2-4, tasty food, outdoor area has umbrellas fit for sunny days, but they don’t hold back rain at all. You can get to the cafe from outside the museum and from inside the museum if you pay to enter it.

It's cute with the Miffy chairs. The vegetarian burger was delicious.

Self-service, but therefore also cheaper and accessible to more people. Good location near the Central Museum and the Miffy Museum. Nice to sit quietly for a while. You can also sit outside and enjoy the garden with Miffy displays. Friendly staff, good service. When my wine was no longer judged to be fresh enough, I was given one from a new bottle.

Beautiful hidden and quiet place behind the central museum

The food is very mediocre, there is no service, you have to pick up your own food and drinks and pay immediately, and we got a sandwich instead of a panini.

Sooo good! Lots of vegan options, that's fabulous 🌱 We were very impressed, I've rarely eaten so well in a museum café. The ingredients were fresh and it was beautifully presented. I had a bagel with "meat strips", I highly recommend it! 🥯 Very nice atmosphere, you can also sit outside. ☀️

It can be difficult to find a nice spot on the Oude Gracht and surrounding area and in a few cases the relationship between location on the one hand and price and culinary imagination on the other is a bit skewed. After a visit to the Central Museum, we were drawn into the Museum Café by wonderful smells. No waiting time and you don't even have to go through the museum because they have their own entrance. What a surprise! Had a delicious lunch that was also very artfully prepared. They have a very nice menu, tasty beers and it is wonderfully quiet. Very attentive, nice service. Truly a hidden gem. I'm not going to stand in line anymore to find a nice place because I've found it. I like to walk around for this.

The menu of the museum café neatly lists the allergens contained in their dishes. Nice and much needed because it soon turns out that with my allergy to soy, nuts and sesame, I can only eat one dish on the menu. That's very poor, I usually have more choice. So it was the burrata salad. It consisted of burrata of course, lots of cherry tomatoes, a few leaves of lamb's lettuce and a dollop of pesto. No bread or other ingredient with carbohydrates. Cherry tomatoes in particular are gnawing. Also rather poor for a lunch salad and also unbalanced due to the excess of cherry tomatoes. The cafe's vegetarian/vegan choice not only causes problems for people with common allergies, but also leads to strange fake products like the rather failed bright orange fake salmon on my daughter's bagel. The museum was great, but next time we will look for another place for lunch despite the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Wonderfull atmosphere, come here for the garden. Skip the cakes, they are not worth it.

Must visit. The selection of healthy food is quite tasty. The designer chairs are nice touches and fun to sit on. The wide garden is also a plus if you visit on sunny days.

The drinks are good and reasonably priced. Desserts are a little more expensive (around 5 euros for relatively small portions). The apple pie is very good, the mocca cake also but a little heavy

Cute location, inside and outside, choice of small dishes and coffees. The cakes are tiny but normal prices… Latte macchiato for €3,90 is a very fair price, but when I asked for an extra short they charged me €2,90 extra! When I made a remark that that is the highest price ever I paid for an extra short, the comment was, that that’s the price of an expresso… But did I order an expresso?!?! That’s really a downer for any place for me…

Well located in the museum, you can also enter without visiting the museum. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff.

When we arrived it was terribly busy and 2 new people had to work with 1 experienced lady. They did their best, but it all took a very long time. But...the atmosphere was great and the soup made up for everything!!

We hebben onlangs genoten van een heerlijke high tea en het is echt een aanrader! De diverse smaken en creatieve presentatie. De sfeer was gezellig en de service was uitstekend. Zeker een plek om aan te bevelen aan anderen!

De koffie is héérlijk, de ambiance heel aangenaam en je wordt heel snel en vriendelijk geholpen. Fijne plek dus!

Heerlijke koffie, broodjes hele aardige bediening

Leuke plek in een rustige uithoek van Utrecht-centrum, gezellig interieur, vriendelijke bediening. Sommige gerechten lekker, andere dan weer ietwat teleurstellend voor wat je ervoor betaalt, ook al is het lokaal/bio/fairtrade. Grootste teleurstelling is echter de Nijntje-pannenkoek die ze je dan ook nog eens pushen - lijkt een aardig gebaar ("ik zie dat u kinderen mee hebt, ...") maar voor de 4,50 euro die die blijkt te kosten krijg je één piepklein, lauw pannenkoekje van (discount)supermarktkwaliteit waar twee oren uit gesneden zijn. Ik kan het niet anders dan een rip-off noemen en roep het café op om er iets aan te doen, zeker als je ziet hoe vaak dit terugkomt in de reviews.

Het was al tegen sluitingstijd, doordeweeks en dus rustig. Personeel stond meteen voor ons klaar om te helpen

Werkelijk zeer goede kwaliteit eten en drinken en zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ook te bezoeken zonder dat je het museum bezoekt.

Ben hier geweest op een donderdagmiddag na een bezoek aan Centraal Museum. Een groene oase naast de stadsdrukte van Utrecht. Het was niet druk in het café. Het design en glazen wanden van het café die contrasteren met de eeuwenoude muren van de omringende historische gebouwen zijn schitterend om te zien. Heerlijke worteltaart gegeten met een warme latte. Het café in van binnen niet zo groot maar er is wel een groot terras in een prachtige tuin. Het personeel was snel en vriendelijk.

De dame achter de bar was heel vriendelijk, haar mannelijke collega een stuk minder. Te weinig personeel helaas. De warme chocomelk was koud. Het is dat de terraswarmers aanstonden...

Best wel duur is het hier en de nijntje pannenkoek is erg klein, een peuter met flinke trek kan wel een grotere op!

Leuk voor een combinatie met het nijntje museum

Ideaal om te combineren met een bezoek aan het Nijntjemuseum. Er is een mooie tuin om in te zitten en voor de kinderen om te spelen. Ze hebben lekker eten waaronder Nijntje pannekoeken.

Ein sehr schönes Café. Der Kaffee und der Kuchen , einfach lecker . Man kann auch andere Kleinigkeiten essen . Sehr nett dort.

Gezellige locatie voor een lekkere lunch, maar ook voor een borrel in de zomermaanden met live optredens. Personeel is vriendelijk!
