Cosy bar with fanTASTIC atmosphere. Bar staff were really fun and provided a memorable experience. Loved it.

A true Amsterdam brown café. The owner is a real no-nonsense bartender. A café with lots of friendly people and the Amsterdam atmosphere you'll find in the Walle district.

Rudest staff I have ever encountered in all my times we just came in the bar as admired the cat from outside and he literally soushed us out like we are dogs because he thought we won’t sit down well thank you for your hospitality 🙏

We've been served by extremely rude server. If owner cares about his business, he should not allow such staff to be working in the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I stopped in to grab a shots and see the cat that we saw sitting the window earlier in the day. The bar tender was polite and gave us our shots. The patrons and atmosphere was not welcoming. The other people in the bar (who appeared to be locals) glared at us until we left and made faces and gestures at the bar tender for serving us. We had been excited to visit the bar all day so that was disappointing.

Trainee bar man was pleasant. The cat was pleasant...ISH The trainees father...witnessed him play wrestle with a customer and then become physically aggressive and violent with the customer, not sure what they said as I didn't understand the language, but the barman was clearly the aggressor. customer was left subdued and embarrassed after the barman got right into his face, I thought he was going to hit him. Set a very bad atmosphere. Do not recommend.

What a brilliant evening at Café Wiener! As soon as we walked in we immediately felt at home - cozy, warm, exactly our thing. The bartender? Absolutely lonely tip! Super personable, always in a good mood, and not only tapped the perfect beer, but also created the right atmosphere. You immediately had the feeling of being welcome - not a stuffy bar atmosphere, but a place where you would like to hang out. The beer? Ran like clockwork. Fresh, tasty, cold – just the way it should be. And the best thing: it didn't stop at just one person. At some point time was completely blocked out, we laughed, chatted and just enjoyed the moment. This is how an evening in Amsterdam should go! Honestly, if you're in the city and don't visit Café Wiener, you're missing out. We'll definitely be back - that's already a given!

Simply great! The cat is very sweet and the bar staff gave me the tip to sit next to him so I can pet him. I was in heaven. Beer and cat. Perfect!

If I could put 0 I would. There was a cat inside, I asked the owner if I could pet the cat and he yelled: No you can nott!! Just don’t go there. Staff is very not friendly and you won’t be in for a good time.

I LOVE THE KITTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drinks are reasonably priced and this bar is small but very fun. I bet it gets rowdy on the weekends.

I came here with a friend and after paying the bill, she asked for the receipt. The guy laughed and wrote on a piece of paper the amount she paid. She said that she needed it for work purposes and he said that he had no receipt to give. After I inquired him about the legality, he called me stupid… STUPID!! The guy should be aware of the laws in his own country! Article 48 in Book 6 of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek, art. 6:48 BW) states that for every required payment, a creditor has to provide you with a proof you paid. But for a consumer art.6:48 BW doesn't require it to be an official invoice with the tax authority (Belastingdienst) specifications. Often an invoice is easiest though. He refused to give BOTH!

A nice hidden brown café in the redlight district with a house cat 😉. If you are in Amsterdam, you should definitely have a drink here.

Came here looking for the damn cat and got stuck with a bunch of drunks and/or hooligans. I felt right at home.

Super brown bar, in its own juice... we loved the cat sleeping while the music pulses, the very friendly bartender and his unique haircut, the bras on the ceiling mixed with the football scarves, the extra atmosphere, the kitsch decor, and nails to drive into a trunk. We had a blast and recommend +++

Really nice place to stop for a beer and chill! Great staff and they have the most adorable, lovely natured bar cat. Could have happily stayed for hours! Great location too - will 100% be back again!

Fantastic pub in Amsterdam! It has a nice atmosphere, good music, happy people, good beer and a nice range of spirits shots. If you’re looking for a experience in a typical pub, there you go. Staff is incredibly nice. There is a cat there, giving its seasoning to the pub.

Lovely bar in Amsterdam run by a nice couple. This is a real bar, no nonsense like a lot of the bars in Amsterdam. Great for a quiet pint and a decent Heineken.

Al jarenlang één van de vele Ajax cafés in Amsterdam. Uitbaters in deze authentieke “kroeg” zijn heel vriendelijk en zeer gastvrij. Voor een gezellig drankje moet je hier wezen, aanrader en vijf sterren.
