This is my favorite cafeteria! Extremely friendly staff, good fries, and a nice selection. In the mood for some tasty fries? Definitely recommended!

I ate here today, September 19, 2026, for my little brother's birthday. I had the fries with spicy chicken and some nuggets on the side, plus a large milkshake. The fries were delicious, and so was the spicy chicken. The nuggets were also delectable, and the milkshake was really big. The value for money is superb. Good place, 5 stars!

Tasty fries, but the portions are too small. The difference between large and small fries lies in the containers/plates. You don't necessarily get much more fries, which is a real shame.

Today, Sunday, May 3, 2026, I walked into the shop to order. The boy behind the counter was on the phone. That’s fine, I thought, we take orders by phone too. So I waited, but I think he was on the phone with a friend because it was about nothing and I was ignored. I walked out and drove to Joosen in Teteringen; the customer is still king there.

Good local snack bar, very good service, great food

We have been coming here since the early 90s. We hadn't been back just before corona because my in-laws no longer live there. The staff, who were young back then, have grown and are doing their very best. The fries and stew consisted of a lot of fries and sauce but very little meat. The rest of the order was fine (meatballs, frikandel special, etc.).

The people who work there are very friendly. The food tastes great and is nice and hot. My pickup order is always ready quickly. I'm very satisfied :-)

I was really craving a delicious milkshake, but what I got was simply appalling. The shake tasted watery and chemically thick, more like melted ice cream with a splash of dishwater than something you drink for pleasure. The texture was lumpy, as if they'd forgotten to blend it, and the aftertaste? Ugh, it lingered for hours. As if that wasn't enough, I also got a straw that was so flimsy you could barely get anything through it. For this price, I expected at least something decent, but this absolutely blew the roof. A real waste of money and my stomach. Never again. I wouldn't even accept it for free.

We had another delicious meal last Saturday, and I cannot at all share the bad experiences of others.

Fries were inedible! No taste at all. Asked for frikadel with curry. Got frikadel with mayonnaise. Never go there again. Better drive a bit further. No atmosphere either

OH MY GOD! This place has everything you need in a diner! The people are AMAZING and i got a lot of food for almost NOTHING, it was DELICIOUS 😋! Love the kid that works there to! He was very kind and cool!

It's been a long time since we've had such a good meal. I highly recommend doing it more often.

If someone likes frikandels, I recommend this place, they serve good fries, and other things there, like NL food. Nice service, you can eat outside and buy something to drink inside.

After setting up, go for a bite to eat from the campsite. Deliciously baked cookies as they should be and delicious snacks with them. We wanted to sit outside and the gentleman came to help move the tables together. Unfortunately there was a rain shower and they came to help us put the food inside.

I personally find it a bit more difficult to order good fries by telephone because you don't have to say a name or anything. Otherwise a great tent

Once again I had old-fashioned fries with a special frikadel. Delicious. The fries were well fried and nice and crispy. Added satay sauce, which was also very tasty. And you can't mess up much with a special frikadel.

Actually not even worth a star. What a mockery. Placed a fairly large order via Thuisbezorgd for collection. Order picked up but when I was almost home I received a call that they had forgotten 2 sandwiches. It can happen, so turn around again. Once home, the order turned out to be incorrect. Ordered a coarse frikandel but received a nice one, 2 croquettes and the farmer's chunk were missing. Because I didn't want to drive back a second time, I called immediately. Explained the story, but for some reason I was called a liar. The boy on the phone kept insisting that it had to be included. He even said his father was sure he put it in. I immediately filed a complaint with Thuisbezorgd and asked for the money back. How incredibly rude to call a customer a liar. Moreover, the order had now cooled down considerably because I had to go back for the forgotten sandwiches. I will never visit this cafeteria again and I would advise against it to everyone.

Good quality, excellent service

€9.80 for 1 fries (really nothing special) with very watery satay sauce, 2 frikandellen mayonnaise and a bag. Truly scandalous and definitely not recommended!

a good chip shop, good fries and a good snack but it's a bit too expensive for normal fries and I got the wrong order twice plus it takes too long for just one fries since no one was there could be BETTER!

Old stuff from the 70s! Since the Chinese have taken over (again), very poor factory frozen fries (Aviko?) Want to earn quickly without any effort! Said several times to cut your own fries, fresh and much tastier, also more turnover in the region! Have no interest in that! Is it mainly about fruit machine turnover?

My experience was very good, I paid very little for a lot of food. And there is a very pleasant atmosphere. The chicken fingers, croquettes, frikandellen, sausages, bear claws and cheese soufles are very tasty.

Great fries and friendly service!

The prices are relatively high. The waiting time is long even though it is not busy. The fries are boring, dry and tasteless. That may be a matter of taste, but this is not what we are used to from other snack bars in our region. Tried because they are close by after moving, but from now on we like to drive a little further for better quality.

In the evening after closing, the owner/staff empties the slot machines!! During the day, customers throw in plenty of money (this is of course kept track of) - a travesty!!!! Just work hard to keep the place clean and deliver a good product and leave the gambling to the customer!!!

What an incredibly good cafeteria with very good fries and snacks

My colleague and I called for an order that we were picking up at 5:30 PM, which is fine, she says. At 1750 it was once put in the fryer. Placed an order for fries war, got fries mayo with satay, we're not above the area here, are we?

Here we found quality fries, sauce and snacks. Tasted great. Fries were well fried, golden and nice and long. No small hard pieces thankfully. Snacks were also fine.

Frozen food at too high prices, I don't recommend it

Chip shop where fries are simply made. Atmosphereless and the staff bakes without passion. Quality of snacks is also good.

It's time for a refresh in this case. I get the strong feeling that the people who work here do not see or do not want to see certain things. The furniture needs to be updated, plates that are against the wall and can no longer be removed, magazines are neatly stored and a turtle in a cafeteria? Sorry, but I'm missing a link there. Otherwise friendly staff and quick service.

I don't recommend anyone to get fries here!! They are rip-offs and ill-mannered! The asking price is higher than the average cafeteria, plus you also get fewer fries and the taste and quality leave a lot to be desired! BAH! Just got some French fries and threw them straight into the trash at home upon arrival! What a filthy mess and simply not worth eating. And then dare to ask for the grand prize! Unprofessional business and they have no knowledge of customer friendliness! It's a miracle to me that they still have customers!! It's that they are on holiday with Merila! Every time I come to De Vondel, it is even worse than before. But today was the absolute straw! I'll never go there again!!

Have visited better snack bars.

Unfortunately no longer my chip shop. Since the change of ownership, I don't like going there anymore. I think the quality has gone downhill. But to each their own anyway. And everyone has their own taste.

With the children's gift you could get a free ice cream here with 4 stamps, which was possible until 4 o'clock. If you stand at the counter at 10 to 4 with your 3-year-old son, they simply say that the ice cream is gone. Unless you want to pay... now I bought it because I promised my son it, but it's scandalous that you tell a 3-year-old child no.

Customer is king? That rule does not apply here! What I have already done with this..... Today was the final straw. Ice cream cone was burnt. I ask for a new ice cream. He then scrapes off the burnt piece with a knife! Wow! I'll say again, I just want a new soft ice cream. He then tries to stuff the soft ice cream (with disco dip) from the burnt piece of ice cream cone into another ice cream cone as if it is the most normal thing in the world. (Can't figure it out yet) He didn't want to make a new ice cream at all! So I asked for my money back! Bad business and service!!!!!!!!! And the Dutch language is hard to find here! I'll spare you the rest of the miserable experiences of this cafeteria.
