Smulsluis in Wijk 07 Vrachelen

Normal chip shop. Quite nicely decorated, but the staff is very (too) businesslike.

Food bad looks like fish nice burger upstairs a bit dry bad terrace stinks trash can

If you like soft ice like me, try soft ice from Smulsluis.

We ordered three big soft ice (softijs), and it was good but not great to be honest. Also the ice cream bread was not crispy enough and it could be improved. The lady at the cashier was smiling but I didn't feel very welcomed.

Dry, poorly cooked fries and store-brand snacks. No, this has nothing to do with a traditional chip shop. The stew was very mediocre. A shame, because the location is quite good.

We're saving up for free fries, and then you go and get them, and they just ruin your food. What a shitty place and disgusting people.

Every week we have fries, no chips, we don't know that in the sub-rivers

Food; hamburger bun, I thought McDonald's was dry, but this is absolutely awful. Fries and stew, I think they were thinned out nicely because that wasn't anything special, and my meatball was like a tennis ball.

Friendly people, nice fast food and ice cream.

Way too expensive for some potatoes and separate meat.

Always very friendly, fast, and they make good snacks and fries. Definitely recommended!!

Two croquette sandwiches with mayonnaise, 9 euros, shame on me. A round roll without butter costs 25 cents, a croquette cut in half, mediocre in taste, 50 cents, a bit of mayonnaise 15 cents, two times that, 9 euros is truly ridiculous.

In August 2024 I had 1 special fries and 1 kashmir here, it was very tasty, the food here is very good and the staff is friendly, my favorite snack bar to eat 1 fries, definitely recommended

Tasty fries. and the Mozzarella souflesse is highly recommended.

In the heart of nostalgic Oosterhout there is a chip shop that puts you in the right mood with just one look. Think of green fake grasses between the snacks, a wonderfully retro feeling that embraces the fatty aromas. This place is like a time machine that takes you back to the glory days of Dutch fries. The classic menu makes you enjoy the Bonita, a snack that brings back memories of times long past. And the best part is that many of these snacks are now also available in vegetarian options, allowing even the most dedicated meat eaters to surprise their taste buds. Let's face it, the fries here may not be the most refined. Some even call them 'frozen fries'. But hey, that doesn't detract from the authentic Dutch fries experience. It's the perfect accompaniment for those juicy snacks, and let's face it, the fries just act as the sauce's silverware here. What really sets this chip shop apart is the service. It's like a well-oiled machine, not too slow and certainly not too fast. You feel welcome from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. All your expectations are met, which is a rarity these days. So, if you fancy a bit of tongue-in-cheek nostalgia and a taste of Dutch classics, pop into this chip shop. It is a feast for your taste buds and a journey back in time. And remember, it's not about the fries here, it's about the whole experience!

I recently visited Smulsluis and I must say it was a fantastic experience! First of all, the fries were perfectly crispy and golden brown, just the way you want them. They were definitely some of the tastiest I've ever tasted. But what really sets Smulsluis apart from other chip shops is their delicious satay sauce. The sauce is tasty and has just the right thickness. It is clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating this unique sauce. I can say with certainty that it is the best satay sauce I have ever tried. In addition to the great food, the staff at Smulsluis was incredibly friendly and hospitable. They greeted me with a smile and were always willing to help with any questions or requests. It's rare to experience such warm and genuine customer service, and it made my visit even more enjoyable.

Just got fries. Fries were very greasy and had little flavor. Still 2 stars because it was warm.

Friendly and helpful staff, good fries.

Just got some fries and stew. The meat was hard to find, as was the taste, and that for €5:90

Good food good service and good hygiene

The fries have been refried so many times that the fat drips out

Fries and snacks were fried way too hard and everything was lukewarm

Friendly people, nice fast food and ice cream.

The tastiest fries in Oosterhout.

Great takeaway! Not the best, not the worst

The fries are tasty, but they need to be cooked more because if they do, they are tastier and we will come more often. But the ice cream is always delicious

Don't buy fries for stew. Very little stew and tastes of nothing, heavily diluted. So watery. Worst stew ever eaten. So not recommended!

An excellent cafeteria. With very friendly service and good quality dishes.

Very friendly staff, hygienic and fast service! You always get a lot of fries for your money. Taste is fine, not very special. No fuss. In short, a great snack bar.

Tasty fries and not too expensive.

Friendly staff and reasonable price. But not really special or worth driving there specifically.

The grill burger was a bit meager for €3.80

Delicious food, well prepared and quick.

If a snack bar deserves stars.... Then this one! Fast, extensive, tasty, clean. Friendly staff. Nice space(s) to sit. Toilet available.

Tasty fries for a reasonable price, not too long waiting times

Three stars not for quality, which is correct, but for pricing policy. When we looked at the website to see what we wanted to order, the total amount was 13.90. On the spot I had to pay 16.40, a difference of 17.9%, which was quite considerable. Website. Really. Difference in % 2 person fries. 3.20. 4.00. 25% Hogweed. 2.50. 2.80. 12% Bami roll. 1.70. 1.90. 11.7% Shrimp skewer. 3.80. 4.20. 10% Peanut sauce Cl. 0.70. 1.00. 42% These are not normal differences, a pity, a comment during checkout is not responded to, I think this is a bad thing!

Neat chip shop with friendly staff. Sitting down to eat

Very expensive, little quality for a lot of money

Enjoying meal. Large portions of fries.

Delicious fries and specialty shop

Staff pressured me to leave when I was upstairs to arrange a few things for work

Excellent fries and fast service.

Delicious fries and quick service.

unpleasant and mediocre quality

Delicious fries and the Smulsuis burger are highly recommended

what bad fries they sell here! We had to finish baking it at home. And this is not the first time. This was the last time we get fries here!

Delicious fries and snacks, I often pick them up there!
