The best food I've ever eaten.. Delicious fries and kibbeling too 👌❤️

The food was prepared quickly. The fries, fish, and frikandel were very, very tasty. My girlfriend also said that everything here tasted better than at other Dutch snack bars we'd been to before. I highly recommend this place.

Ordered two coffees, went outside. Immediately charged €5. Then came "coffee"—two small paper cups, two creamers, two sugar packets, two sticks, not even served on a tray, and "half! Full!" Never again!

Fries aren't cooked through, the mayo tastes like vinegar. The kibbelings are made from old or frozen products. Paid €31 and they were thrown away. Never again.

We received friendly service. The chicken satay skewers were delicious; unfortunately, the fries were quite soggy.

I should have checked the reviews beforehand. Absolutely not recommended. Whether it was the "Kibbeling" fries or the Frikandel, nothing tasted good. There were three of us there, and all three of us had stomachaches within 10 minutes. Who knows what will happen later. It's ridiculously expensive, too.

Terrible! The Frikandel was okay, because of the onions. Kibbeling tasted like nothing. 6 hamburgers. Don't go there! Way too expensive for that, too... Help!

Unfortunately, my visit to Cafetaria Meyers was very sobering. When I was spending my day in Venlo today and was hungry for a currywurst at lunchtime, this place seemed like the perfect place. A bit inconspicuous from the outside, but very well attended. These types of restaurants are usually some of the best in my opinion. However, this time I was disappointed. The currywurst itself was tasty, but - and I seem to be relatively alone in this opinion - I'm not a big fan of the fries. My dear fellow travelers felt the same way. One aspect that bothered me much more than the food, however, was the fact that the kitchen exhaust was directly on the side of the house, which is why when there was an unfortunate breeze, the full smell of the various fats could be smelled. Apart from that, you have to say that the staff was very friendly and the food was ready very quickly.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. We eat here regularly, and the kibbeling, in particular, is absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly, and it's clean—you have to keep in mind that it's not a restaurant, but more like a snack bar, so you can't really complain. We love coming here :)

We ate Kibbeling here. It was a large portion and very tasty. There was enough seating and the restaurant was very clean. The toilets are also very clean and you can tell that someone cares. We'd love to come back.

Since the place on the Maas left, we eat here three times a year. Very tasty, fresh and hot ones this week! Ate fries. Frikandel special, Mexican, sate sauce, 2xFrench fries mayo 17 € and the taste was absolutely top. The staff is always very friendly to us. Toilet small but clean, always soap and towels there. About the ambience: Guys, it's a snack bar and not a restaurant!!! In Germany, a snack bar doesn't have a price board in front of the door and we recently paid €11 for a portion of fries with currywurst. Why should it be cheaper in the Netherlands?

When they first opened they were great. Now they are deceiving the customer by giving false prices outside, please be careful. 😉

Not again, food not fresh and very expensive!

Have eaten there twice within two weeks. After both visits our children have gastrointestinal problems! We won't eat there anymore.

Years ago you could eat well there, yesterday I upset my stomach. It would be good to change the fat. You couldn't eat the fries because they tasted like old oil and also looked old. The currywurst was okay but it seems to have been swimming in the old fat.. everything was served quickly instead of being prepared properly.. it's a shame

Absolutely disgusting. I've been vomiting and vomiting since 2 p.m. Went there today with 3 people. All fries were oversalted and with vinegar. The salt still stuck to his fingers. The ketchup curry sauce was so salty it was just terrible. Kibblinge became inedible with a red spice. The garlic sauce had a bite. Absolutely inedible and disgusting. An impudence. The cokes were as ice cold as if they had been in the freezer. The soft ice cream... OMG Complaining was pointless because all of a sudden the two ladies couldn't understand a single word. There was neither a refund nor any words of apology. Save your money and eat somewhere else instead. No matter where, just not there. It is healthier to lick the market place than to eat something there.

A good icecream, kinda to much sugar for me, but ok. The problem was that, the guy who serve it, put the hands on the money from the person before me and then made me an icecream without cleaning hands. I think you can deliver with a hand and make the money with the others. Solutions exist, you need to find them. Have a good one

The ice cream tasted strangely rotten, as if the machine hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The stomach ache is then included for free.

If you are visiting here you should avoid this shop... very very rude boss can't handle orders and customers. first time and last time here.

It's a snack bar, but one of the not so nice ones, it's a bit rotten, the food was just frikandels, we don't have to go there again, what I noticed is that you get ice cream there, but nevertheless it wasn't nice there.

Rarely seen such a dirty cafeteria. The trash piles up behind the counter and anywhere you can hide empty boxes. The fries were ok. The cheapest quality mayo as well as the curry ketchup. I can't recommend anything here.

Fries were not tasty, fries were fried twice, fat was old, different from normal, hot chocolate was half full, not tasty, and pricey. Not recommended.

Outrageous: no prices on the menu!! 2 fries with satay skewer (fried!!!) Multiple times? over 18€. Next table: 2 fries with kibbeling over €24!!!! Sauces cost 1.50 One cloth for all tablets, service only calls China... And at the end the question: what is homemade here???

You can use the oil and it tastes too old, never again

The fries were bad, probably old and warm, and the kippeling was better, but still way too expensive. I won't eat there again in the future.

Perfect for quick, on-hand meals. An advantage over the weekly market is the indoor seating.

Nice poeple but food was horrible. Fries with no taste, Soaked in oil. I was there 3 times to try and be sure maybe just once I had that low quality meal. Nope. Not recomend Food taste like double fried. Better to go elsewhere in Venlo.

Terrible, just disgusting. The bratwurst and currywurst we ordered were fried in French fries oil... I've never experienced anything like that. We felt very sick afterwards!

Hel bad patat. Worst fries I've ever eaten in NL. We also ordered as a couple with 2 people in front of the counter (1x fries and 1 x kibbeling) and 🙈 both are packed on a plate. The kibbeling was just as bad as the fries.

Nice people, but besides being pricey, the snacks were fried way too hard, the breading of the croquette and noodles even tasted slightly burnt.

Chip shop with a slightly dingy atmosphere. Moderately friendly service, sometimes a bit hectic. Not exactly cheap. The smell of old frying oil occasionally wafts across the entire parking lot (Nolensplein). Not recommended!

The fries are world class. The sauerbraten sauce was absolutely delicious. Always order separately, then it's not a match. Obligatory the Frikandel special. Service is very attentive and friendly. We can recommend Cafeteria Meyer and always enjoy coming back for a snack.

The food is rather mediocre. The kibbelinge didn't taste good at all and it was generally quite expensive. The fries are okay.

There is a nice fast food joint here with indoor and outdoor astronomy. Delicious soft ice cream is also offered. The restaurant is centrally located and easy to reach.

Never again. Went there today and ordered two portions of fries. The crowd was ok. But that was all. The fries weren't cooked through, so they were half-raw potato strips. When we politely complained and asked for new ones, it was very rudely rejected. The Asian guy behind the counter just grinned at me impudently and said, "They say they're not good. I say they're OK. If you want something particularly fried, order in advance." He then repeated this about 5 times like a prayer wheel. So there was no replacement or money back. We didn't eat the fries and left the place. Around the corner at Koala Express we have delicious dishes. Ate fries.

This is a small chip shop called Caffè. Frikandle special and fries ordered there. The dish was okay. The fries were fried twice. Frikandle only once. The fries and the frikandle special were served in a plastic bowl. But you could also have had the fries delivered to you in an environmentally friendly bag. The tables were clean and the service was young and inexperienced, but oh my goodness, everything was okay for fries 🍟. You shouldn't expect greatness from the crowd. Otherwise everything was okay.

Have the creamiest (giant) soft ice cream I've ever tasted - great! I haven't tried the rest and probably won't (unappetizing).

I really have to complain... So sorry for the long text At first we thought we were hungry... Holland... French fries... Fits... ACTUALLY...... After we went shopping with 2 brothers, we went to the french fries shop across the street... Order: 3x large fries with ketchup and mayo, 2x large fries with ketchup and mayo, one with a frikandel and the other with fried fish. And drinks too... 1. Looked like a typical chip shop from the inside... But NOT REALLY THAT KILLED... OUTSIDE the area NOT AT ALL anyway. 2. We sat outside because 3/5 were smokers. TABLES NOT CLEANED, NO CUTLERY, NO NAPKINS. The boy came with the tray, put it down and said "you can take your own" and went... I followed behind to get napkins 3. The fries were really GREASY... So really dirty... And unfortunately very flabby. Not even seasoned. Since we own a restaurant and my mother isn't used to something like that, she went to the cashier and said quietly and politely that she didn't like the fries. The woman's first sentence "doesn't give any money back" 🙈🤦🏻‍♂️ and that's very rude! 4. My sister followed afterward because she noticed that there was a discussion. At some point my sister calls me and says “please take a look!” 5. Then an Asian man came on a bicycle, stood directly behind the counter and discussed and became derogatory "why do the Turks always do that?!" My sister then says, "We Turks and Germans are used to better food and are not stupid!" CONCLUSION (I asked this Asian owner directly what the preparation process was like): The fries are fried and stored OPEN on the counter above the deep fryer... (left on the corner of the wall) If a guest comes and wants fries, they fry what is already fried. (Mind you, the fries were at the top of the counter for over 10-20 minutes...) I told the owner that this is definitely not done in Germany for hygienic reasons... He insisted that it was fresh and got fries... Raw, frozen... When I asked why he was now getting frozen fries, he said that they were fresh... -.- NORMAL, IT CAN'T BE FRESHER AFTER THE FARM 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Two guests walked out because it smelled and smelled! (i.e. the food) I didn't try fried fish, but my sister wasn't very enthusiastic... And the frikandel wasn't really cooked through... So NOTHING was crisp here! ... At least I clarified that my sister gets the money back for her food... Not even for everything... So that the guy doesn't argue any further... Never ever 🤢🤢🤢 these are not fries, they are tasteless, indefinable old-fat sticks, and hygiene and friendliness are not at home here!!!
