Cafetaria 't Trepke in Wijk 02 Overhoven

We were at the campervan site, so it was an 11-minute walk... I carefully read the reviews and finally took the plunge. We ordered half a chicken twice, including a salad and two small fries. The cafeteria looked very clean and had a wide selection. Upon arrival at the campervan, everything was still lovely and warm and tasted excellent. I could have done with a dressing on the salad, but that was made up for by the large amount of delicious fries, even though I only ordered two small ones. The service was excellent and friendly, so it's definitely worth picking up something to eat there or eating something there. 😋

Other chip shops in Sittard could learn a thing or two from this. The staff were spontaneous and friendly. The fries were cooked perfectly, not limp! The shashlik was delicious. Perfectly cooked and generous for the price. The place looks neat and tidy. I'll be back often.

It's more of a snack bar than a cafeteria. Entrance is via a staircase. There are two tables outside, but you'll be sitting right on the main road.

Nice people, good menu, fair price. Plus: take away or eat inside, big space.

Top chip shop, I've been going there all my life and the new owners are also great people, they still have the same qualities of snacks and fries, so I highly recommend it, you'll miss something if you haven't been there

At a stopover in Sittard I was a little hungry, but possibly more urgent was a place with a toilet. This chip shop was very close to where I was. There was a friendly Chinese person behind the counter and I could entrust her with my things (many 5 stars on maps, a good estimate then). Going to the toilet is €0.50. They are neat toilets. If you order something afterwards, this will be deducted from the price of your order. On topic: I ended up ordering a large spring roll. This snack is deliciously warm and crispy. This was for takeout. It came in suitable packaging. I can't say much about the atmosphere, but I didn't experience any stress while waiting. It has the appearance of an old-school chip shop and there is a wide selection. there are also tables inside. If I were to come to Sittard again, I would go in again. Who knows for real fries.

Stopped at this cafeteria while traveling from the far north. Very friendly staff, very open and enthusiastic. Ordered schnitzel. Large portions, tasty vegetables, well-cooked fries, schnitzel tasted good, although a bit on the thick side. Would recommend this to everyone!

Super unfriendly ladies! I asked politely if I should order and I heard 'then she has to wait' that's not how you treat customers! Nothing to complain about the food, but a bad atmosphere certainly doesn't bring customers back.

Hello, the owner of the restaurant also offers housing, beware of the rooms to rent! The room is extremely expensive, you won't be able to cook, there is a lot of noise because the walls are paper thin, so you can hear everything when someone showers, sits on the toilet or in bed. Also you'll going to have to deal with the trash smell of the restaurant dump which is near the side with the rental rooms. (Of course they also don't recycle anything.) At that rental price you can get a studio!

So: Very nice service, excellent fries display (here you can tell that our neighbors are a lot ahead of the German providers) Wonderfully creamy mayo. A warm feeling in your stomach! Excellent fries and the Kas souffleé was incredibly tasty. Great snack, 100% recommendation for all mayo lovers across all borders...

Omdat onze vaste friture op maandag gesloten is hebben we aarzelend besloten om hier nog eens een frietje te halen. We wisten uit het verleden dat we 't Trepke niet geweldig vonden maar gaven het toch nog een kans. Toen ik de bestelling in de auto voor de zekerheid controleerde zag ik dat ze een frietje en een snack waren vergeten. Ik ben terug naar binnen gegaan en de vergeten items werden alsnog klaar gemaakt, ik voelde me wel een lastige klant door de gezichtsuitdrukking van de mevrouw achter de kassa. Daarbij zijn de frieten voorgebakken waardoor ze bruin en tamelijk slap geserveerd worden. Frieten horen goudbruin en knapperig te zijn. De bestelde satérol bleek een soort loempia met gemalen gehakt. We zullen hier helaas niet nog eens bestellen. We hebben niet lekker gegeten, erg jammer!

I think 2 of the employees were in a bad mood and the satay skewers are fried in the frying fat, so they are very difficult to remove from the skewer and just taste less, it is better to fry them on a plate or grill!.. for the rest it was tasty and the 2 ladies also turned around somewhat..
