Lunchroom Cheval d'Or Feller in Wijk 05 Geleen

We were at the campervan site, so it was an 11-minute walk... I carefully read the reviews and finally took the plunge. We ordered half a chicken twice, including a salad and two small fries. The cafeteria looked very clean and had a wide selection. Upon arrival at the campervan, everything was still lovely and warm and tasted excellent. I could have done with a dressing on the salad, but that was made up for by the large amount of delicious fries, even though I only ordered two small ones. The service was excellent and friendly, so it's definitely worth picking up something to eat there or eating something there. 😋

Way too much culinary food for way too good value for money. This is probably compensated with the cups in the coffee machine. Furthermore, a very nice location to share an exciting story with fellow human beings.

I was really craving fries and a special frikadel. After an hour and a half of waiting, I wasn't just hungry, I was also really hungry. A call to the chip shop told me it was on its way. No problem, it must be busy. Once there, my hunger was satisfied, but my desire was gone. The fries were soggy and cold. Special frikadel; cold. I read comments on all the similar reviews saying they should have called the store for a solution instead of writing such a review, but I wonder what kind of solution they would have. When you order food, there's only one thing you want: it to taste good and arrive hot. If you can't deliver that, there's no solution. My last order here, anyway. Edit, in response to the frite's comment: You already couldn't get it ready to deliver on time and hot. An hour and a half. People are hungry, that's why they order food. Being late is something I can understand, and a decent, tasty, hot meal would make me forget about that long delivery time. But cold and soggy, no, that's a sign of incompetence. Your reaction was the same, by the way.

Delicious fries and satay sauce. Don't come here for the atmosphere, and if you don't want to wait in line for half an hour, don't come between 5:00 and 6:30 PM. A sign that the fries are delicious.

Hardworking, friendly people. I call ahead, and within 15 minutes, everything is ready. Choice of 3 types of fries. Always fresh and delicious.
