Went here for dinner and it was disgusting... old frying oil and no flavor at all. I might as well have eaten ice cubes. The employees are on their phones all day and I can hear them calling. I've never seen such a bad place. You might as well go to McDonald's.

Ordered today, it was really delicious. My husband had half a chicken (rooster), which was really delicious and well prepared.

Best vegetarian chicken burger! Really delicious, with fresh vegetables and a good balance of sauce.

The nice thing about this snack bar is that there are also a number of Asian dishes on the menu. Chicken gyoza is tasty, the ebi tempura (not real tempura, more like fried shrimp) also tastes good, and not expensive.

Always quick service, great quality, you can order in, and a cool place to sit at as well

The milkshakes are fine but when we went there with a group to get food it was clearly noticeable that the frying fat was very old. Not tasty.

It is the atmosphere that is good and the snacks with it also the fries are well fried because the company is often what you choose. My tip? Sit upstairs it is nicely decorated with a clear stylish style thanks

I went to this snack bar the other day and just wanted to sit upstairs, but that was suddenly not allowed. When I asked why, I was treated rudely and sent away for no apparent reason. Luckily I got my money back, but the way they treat customers is really scandalous. I didn't feel welcome at all. Even if you get your money back, you don't want to be treated like that. So I won't be coming back here.A

Ordered for the first time and had it delivered, didn't like the fries that much, even thought they were old I only liked the milkshake

There's something wrong with this food, I'm getting diarrhea along with blood, maybe it's something old or poorly seasoned, it should be checked before we get sick and maybe even die

Truly the best and tastiest cafeteria in Utrecht. I've been coming here since I was a girl and it's a wonderful family affair. My favorite eatery! ❤️

My experience with this cafeteria is very good. They are hardworking, nice, sweet people, always fast delivery with very good quality, these people deserve big compliments and I hope more people with me.

Simply delicious, both the variety and the normal fries are delicious to nibble on 😁 What's nice here is that there is a kind of separate room upstairs where you can eat in a relaxed way.

Very satisfied with the snack bar. The snack bar would close at 9:30 PM but I was allowed to place an order to take away. There is nothing wrong with fries and snacks and the price is not too bad, nowadays you probably pay about the same price.

Even the specialties are disappointing, two skewers of satay with three pieces of meat each. you have to ask for sambal. Dim sum fried on one side (?). Ordered nasi and received noodles. When we got home, the paper container was completely destroyed.

Not friendly people and you pay €3 extra for lettuce with the menu. In addition, you don't get any drinks even though the sign says you do.

Had a cup of coffee here, didn't order any food, so I can't comment on that. Nice cafeteria, friendly staff. The interior also feels cozy and friendly, there are even paintings on the walls.

Got fries at the snack bar today. Fries were hard and full of oil, in short, not edible. I indicated this, but she said the fries were good. No solution was looked at either. Unfriendly and not neat! I will never come here again, quality has deteriorated significantly.

I'm now typing this review with greasy fingers because my fork was buried under the satay sauce, the food was otherwise fine, although the delivery person didn't really seem to mean it when she wished me a nice evening. I'm going to try the vegetarian burger soon because I had to leave a review first, but it looks good.

Our regular snack bar. According to our kids, this is the only place where they fry their fries with just the right amount of salt. Also plenty of vegetarian options.

Raspatat was cold. I had indicated no salad on the Spicy crispy chicken burger buns, but that didn't happen so it was over. My son got sick after eating the sandwiches.

No respect at all for what they are doing. Snitzel menu, I think they get it from the Plus. Stale taste and bad look. Really not nice if you ask a price for it that is not much different from van de Valk.

Was a loyal visitor to this snack bar for the last two years. After reading the reviews I will never come back here and I don't want to be caught dead here. How animal unfriendly can you be, it's terrifying that these types of people are allowed to run a restaurant.

In the heat of these days they refused to give/sell a plastic chip tray to someone who wanted to give water to a dog (a complete stranger, not their own dog). The lady offered to pay for the fries bowl but was refused because it was for a dog. The lady had water with her, it was just a stupid plastic container. The people from the cafeteria stood there and watched. Besides being disgusting, it is also a criminal offense to refuse help to an animal in need.

Ate once and immediately got food poisoning. I couldn't call the food tasty and it was very dirty inside.

Certainly not bad for a cafeteria. The fries are good, as they should be. You can take your snacks with you but also eat them in a separate area, upstairs, at the table.

Cafetaria Smaragdplein is best een leuke stek op effe een frietje te steken. Parkeren is volop mogelijk en gratis. Je kunt er prima zitten en er is een leesmap.Je kijkt uit over winkelend publiek. Ik at er een friet speciaal. Deze was met curry-ketchup (ipv Hela-curry). Geeft niks, maar er was wel te weinig saus. De friet is typisch Nederlands: middelmatig. Bediening is snel, accuraat en vriendelijk.
