Reasonable priced food for Amsterdam. Had to wait in line for quite a bit. I ordered a ciabatta 'Cortona' and two pasticiotti. The ciabatta came in a very oily bag (although there wasn't any olive oil added according to the recipe) and was not warm sadly. however, it was still very delicious and the ingrediënts were of high quality. The pasticiotti were amazing. Perfectly baked on the outside with a rich vanilla custard inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find these Leccese pastries here, since I haven't seen them anywhere else here in the Netherlands. Used to be lots cheaper not a long time ago. A ciabatta sets you back almost €5, and considering it really is just a simple Italian sandwich it is leaning towards the pricy side. Would still reccommend if you want some simple and quick Italian specialties.

Good fast food and fresh ingredients

The bread for the sandwiches is incredibly fresh, and the aroma of the pesto sauce combined with the fresh cheese is simply amazing. I think adding a bit more pepperoni and toppings would make it even better! However, the shop's atmosphere is quite dark and lacks energy; it could use a more modern touch. Overall, I definitely recommend giving it a try!😁👍🏻

Probablemente la mejor relación calidad-precio y buena comida en Ámsterdam. Este lugar siempre tiene una cola por una razón! Teníamos la Cibata Madesimo, Gorgonzola y arancini más un americano. Todos ellos excelentes y a buen precio.

Probably the best value & good tasting food in amsterdam. This place always has a queue for a reason! We had the Cibata Madesimo, Gorgonzola and arancini plus an americano. All of them excellent and well priced.

Admirations for what you do - several simple ingredients turned into incredibly delicious sandwiches and desserts! The products were fresh and of good quality, the staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Regardless of the long queue, we got our food very quickly (in less than 10 minutes). Once again, the food was very very delicious! 👏

Good and cheap sandwiches above all. Top. The second time I also tried the pizza, spending 2.80 euros for lunch at AMS, wonderful

No, it’s not a Freddi place; it’s all about "warm and cold" in Italian. Yes, it’s a tremendous bang for your buck and even better than most Italian sandwich spots I’ve visited. Every sandwich here has been spot-on, no misses. The area might be packed with overpriced pizza joints and greasy French fry spots, but don’t waste your time there. Instead, swing by here where you’ll find a plethora of options: veggie or non-veggie sandwiches, freshly baked pizzas, and a cappuccino or espresso to top it all off.

Really tasty and not expensive!

I went to this place as part of my visit in Amsterdam. I did some research to see the good local food spots around the place and this one came first. I took a pizza slice and sandwich. Both tasted good. But maybe my Indian tastebuds were not able to catch much from the dishes, it tasted good, not as much of the hype. There are a lot of different snacks they offer. The place is also closer to the city centre. Good to visit.

Imagine if there was an Italian fast food restaurant... And there is! Cadi and Freddie managed to combine speed and quality in one of the most delicious foods in the world: Italian! Sandwiches, paninis, pizza, calzone, antipasti, pasta, desserts... Everything with great quality and fresh ingredients. The sandwiches and paninis are freshly prepared with great care and crispy breads! The hot dishes are varied and packaged to take away or you can even eat on site, which despite being small and always full, has small counters for a quick meal. I tried a Panini, Eggplant Parmigiano and Lasagna. For dessert I tried the Tiramisu and canolo. Everything was extremely tasty. There are queues, but service is quick. Regarding the price, I would say that you won't find a better value for money in all of Europe! The service is very friendly...Mama mia! Hope to return soon.

Fairly cheap Italian trattoria. The tiramisu is delicious and very cheap. The sandwiches are home made and or Italian quality. I am looking forward to getting a pasta over there to take home. Sadly there is not a lot of place to sit down but perfect for takeaway

Tried swinging by here late morning and the staff did not greet me upon entering. They were pretty rude when I asked if I was in the correct line to order…kind of a shame because I had heard such great things about this place. When I finally started to order, I was abruptly interrupted by the cashier that yelled across the room to his colleague; finally got to the payment and to my surprise, they do not take Visa/MasterCard and other highly popular credit card brands. Yikes. Will not bother returning.

Best value for money you'll get for great Italian food in Amsterdam, and the whole of Europe I'd say with prob just the exception of Italy 🤣🤣🤣 I've tried some panini, gnocchi, parmigiana di melanzane and the cannolo and I couldn't be happier. Great fresh products, very quick service (if you go around lunch time get ready for some queuing, which won't be that bad as it'll give you time to make up your mind!!). Staff is very busy but at the same time very friendly and attentive, as much as they can be in a super busy take away spot. Lovely suprise in Spui area!

Very cheap and delicious junk food. They do not accept the Wise card or Revolut (commonly used as multicurrency cards by tourists and foreigners) and they do not have cash change. We had to buy things in other places to get smaller bills and be able to eat there. But in the end it was worth it! Helpful and friendly attendants. You cannot eat on site.

Absolute BANGER! Sandwiches are crazy tasty, ingredients are fresh and they have very original combinations. All of this for 4.9€ for a sandwich. Pretty unbelievable if you think about the quality and the location which is in Spui, just behind Dam and in the very core of the canals. People there are all super Italians which makes it very funny to see (I’m Italian as well) and gives out a very energetic vibe. Also there was quite a queue but it went pretty fast so that’s also very good. Super enjoyable experience definitely recommend it to everyone for a sandwich but they also have pasta and desserts. Such a gem!

Best Italian sandwich I’ve ever had. Perfect ciabatta, flavorful pesto for a great price. Staff was friendly and helpful. For a small fee you can double up on the toppings. I had the Mondello and can’t wait to go back to try another sandwich.

I went there for dinner. A kind of takeaway place and have the most famous Italian dishes to go, panini, pasta, pizza, dessert like tiramisu. I ordered Ravioli with pesto to go. High quality Ravioli and very tasty with a very affordable price. Quite a reasonable portion to fill you up. This shop doesn't accept cards so make sure you have cash with you.

Very good authentic Italian sandwiches. Cheap, good quality. Calzones are also delicious. Interior makes me nostalgic to sandwich shops in Italy. I do not recommend their pasta, their tomato sauce for example is very sour.
