Great and cheap Italian food here, it’s always nice to come here for a quick bite and snacks! They have many variety of sandwiches to choose from, and the various snacks like the meatball I also highly recommend.

The price-performance ratio is excellent; it's more of a takeaway spot. Certainly not the best Italian quality, BUT it was still tasty and always worth a visit at that price. Pizza, pasta, panini, and dessert (tiramisu, etc.).

Ordered an Gubbio sandwich and got a plain mozzarella pesto one. Although the sandwich was good, no meat on it while i specifically went for a slice of Parma is a bit of a bummer

Fantastic fresh food for next to nothing. There'll be a long line around lunchtime, but trust me, it's worth it! The moment you step inside, the rustic aroma of fresh dough greets you and your mouth starts to water. You can tell the ingredients apart, whether it's a sandwich or a pizza.

Super rustic, authentic, down to earth, so affordable, absolutely delicious, personal and just so real. I felt like I was in a well-established deli in Italy, and despite their social media fame, so unpretentious. No insta bullshit here.

They don’t take cards! They have a sign at the counter stating this, but NOT at the entrance, so after you’ve waited 30 minutes in queue you find out that they only take cash. Not recommended.

It’s always very busy here but the sandwiches and food are very delicious for a decent price. I still believe it’s not worth it to wait in line for over 15 minutes, because it’s still just a simple sandwich. What makes it simple yet good is that the ingredients are very delicious on their own and it’s cheap. If you visit right before lunch hours or a bit after you’re more likely to avoid a line

It's a great spot to grab a delicious foccaicia slice and sandwich! If there's a line, it moves pretty fast, they have a great system.

Delicious, inexpensive and vibey. Caldi e Freddi has amazing food for an extremely good price, especially for it's location in Amsterdam. Definitely try the Arancini, Calzone and Sandwiches! Really enjoyed the tiramisu as well, make sure to have a bit of time though, because the line to order will likely be long around lunchtime.

We went early lunch and there was no queue, walked back down and the line was out of the door! Shows the quality! Staff were very friendly and informative when asked about allergens. No photos because it was eaten too quickly!

What can I say? This place is run by Italian guys and offers sandwiches just like grandma makes them! Fresh ingredients, lots of sandwiches with delicious combinations, for €3.50! Pasta, lasagna, pizza, everything delicious at rock-bottom prices. Go there! And kudos to the guys, they're quick to organize but always pay attention to the sandwich fillings!

One of my favorite places for lunch in Amsterdam's city center is Italian takeout, from focaccias, sandwiches, pasta, lasagnas, and desserts. Everything is fresh and high-quality, and it truly seems Italian. It's good, cheap, and has very affordable prices for being right in the center near Jordan. There's always a line because of this, but it moves pretty quickly. It's great for grabbing something and sitting by a canal to enjoy the views of Amsterdam. I've lived here for six years, and it was one of my best discoveries.

This was just amazing! If you are looking for a fabulous ciabatta or tiramisu (or basically anything lunch - Italian): go there. We were in awe and full and happy and will defo come back. Also amazing if you are on your way to the train and need some snacks, they have everything one can dream of. So TL;DR: super amazing, go there and have a ciabatta asap!

Incredible sandwiches for €4.90, as well as pasta dishes, pizza, chicken, and all sorts of takeaway meals. Always super cheap, delicious, and if you go around lunch time, there's always a line out the door.

Fantastic and affordable sandwiches, pizza slices and deserts for takeaway. The lunch rush and wait time can be a bit intense but it's totally worth it. The workers give great and quick service. I would also recommend trying some of their deserts as well. The pasticiotto, triramisu and cornetto are great options.

So good and affordable 😋 The only downside is the queue but that only proves how good and popular this place is. I especially love the salami calzones and the tiramisu !!

Came here a while back and ordered the ciabatta Cortona and a lasagne bolognese and found my experience to be average to good. They have a brilliant system in place in terms of walking in and ordering. Due to the efficiency of that the service goes quite quickly, even if there is a big line waiting. After ordering my food I waited around 5min before it was ready and they gave me my order with cutlery, napkins and clarified the order while handing it over. Once an order has been placed one of the staff grabs the receipt and actually makes that exact order, for then to be given out at the counter. The lasagne was quite plain, had barely any meat in it and was primarily pasta sheets and tomato sauce. The flavour was quite underwhelming. The ciabatta was made with lovely fresh ingredients with a good balance between toppings and bread. It could have had the topping spread out more evenly, but overall it didn't disappoint. Service is quick, efficient and fast. The server at the counter was slamming the orders through and kept things very organised. Overall a fine place to get a very decently priced sandwich or pasta to go.
