This is definitely the place to eat authentic Indonesian food. Price is so so reasonable. Love it. We”ll be back again. We ordered “Nasi Rames Special” btw. So good man 😁. Wife said it’s a satisfaction guaranteed 👍👌

We ordered the nasi rames with beef rendang, sayur lodeh, telur balado and tempe orek. Best Indonesian food out of the three we tried over the Easter weekend spent in Amsterdam, tastes so authentic, reminiscent of homecooked meal back home in Indonesia. Met the owner, the kindest uncle who offered to heat up the food extra warm - wrapped in aluminum foil to keep the contents warm for when we enjoy it in the Eurostar back home.

Scam. Look after. They charge more than what you ordered. Happened repeatedly.

Freshly cooked food and if you are lucky, you get a table by the canal. A near-perfect meal that would have been even better if they could also sell you a beer.

Great food. Not intended to eat here but on my way to a cafe nearby, I accidentally saw this restaurant and packed some take-away meals. Will certainly be back or order next time I am in town.

One of the best Indonesian takeaways in the Jordaan and around the corner from where I lived. I'm half Indonesian and often crave Asian food, this is our go-to place to get us a nice meal for a decent price. The Pepesan Ikan (spicy fish) is my absolute favourite.

Descubrimos este sitio de casualidad y nos pareció un gran acierto. El dueño es muy agradable y nos aconsejó sin problema, nunca habíamos probado la comida indonesia pero ha sido delicioso. Een fantastische locatie in hartje centrum om de hoek van de Westerstraat. Het eten liet mij weer mooie herinneringen doen herbeleven aan de tijd mijn moeder dezelfde maaltijden bereidde. De gerechten vers en natuurlijk van kleur, overzichtelijk en verzorgd. Buiten aan een tafeltje een overheerlijke maaltijd genoten met de gezelligheid van de Amsterdamse levendigheid. Always wanted to eat here and today was the day...! Just ordered one vegetarian portion to go for my husband, who's very picky because no one cooks as well as his mother did. He was satisfied with everything and looks forward to trying other things on the menu. Too bad we don't live closer by and BONUS, they don't use msg 🙌

Das Essen war okay, das Personal freundlich. Obwohl wir ziemlich früh dort waren, hat der Laden gerade geschlossen, weil sie ausverkauft waren. Es gab dann neu erhitztes Essen für uns zum vollen Preis. Außerdem konnte der Laden nicht wechseln, weswegen wir fast 3 Euro drauf gezahlt haben. Die mangelnde Planung und der Fakt, dass wir neu erhitztes Essen bekamen, haben mich sehr enttäuscht. Die drei Euro wären Trinkgeld gewesen unter normalen Umständen.

The take-out meal was fantastic! As others have noted, the gentleman who owns this place was super nice and helpful in assisting us with our order. He has owned it for over 30 years, and his wife does the cooking. We got a dish with rice, one meat (sweet beef, which was so tender and not fatty), several vegetable sides, and an egg. Everything was so tasty, and the meal was 11.5 euros and served 2 of us! We were able to get exactly what we wanted to try and were so happy with everything. A few locals were getting their take-away orders right before us which is always a validation. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

You'll be seriously missing out if you don't eat here. Great variety in 'compose your own box' - good for veggie and meat eaters. If you like Asian food but haven't tried Indonesian (like me) just give it a go. And the owner is great :)

Absolutely delicious Indonesian kitchen in the heart of Amsterdam. Had delicious spicy dish that felt like loving myself. Recommend.

I dont normally review places, especially restaurants, but this place was exactly what I needed. Unpretentious, delicious food that is easily packed and eaten. The owners were very nice and helpful when I came barreling in late at night looking to try something new. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for affordable food! The spicy beef she suggested to me was great. And my takeaway box was wrapped up like a cute little present. Made me want to go to Indonesia it tasted so good.
