Great snack bar with a very wide and diverse range

Good food, a bit bland, but that's a matter of taste. We go there regularly and will continue to do so.

This is the best food I’ve had in a while, if you are visiting this area be sure to try out the food. Don’t make the mistake of ordering the sandwiches because this cafe is known for it’s nasi, bami and mihoen.

Today I got 2x chicken spring rolls and a bowl of peanut sauce. Large spring rolls filled with only bean sprouts, because the chicken had disappeared due to the nice weather... The whole thing was tasteless and even watery? Peanut sauce, even though it is so tasteless, has absolutely no crunch or taste to it. Unfortunately, no more Karels for us!

Nasi and noodles were tasty. Pork very dry and tough. Fast delivery.

Ordered here to pick up, it was ready very quickly, ordered chicken satay dish and spare ribs dish. Both were very nicely seasoned and certainly something different than you get at other places, but very tasty! Unfortunately I thought the fries were a bit soggy because of the drive home, I think. And the liquid had run out of the containers, but eating here is definitely recommended

Unfortunately I threw my 2 fries war into the trash... so well done, there was no potato left in the fries, but a lot of frying fat... the satay sauce seems to have been mixed with EXTRA water, which meant there was no taste and it was very watery. & to top it all off, the mayonnaise is also sour.. (but that could be due to the brand) very disappointed :(

Two fries. Add a bowl of satay sauce and two vegetarian croquettes. It's almost clever to mess up such basic snacks. Carel's succeeded. The fries were dry and fried too hard in old fat. Maybe the fries had been in the freezer too long. Maybe it was fried. Anyway, it was inedible. The satay sauce was sour. Possibly spoiled and clearly diluted with water too often. I ordered vegetarian croquettes but received vegetable croquettes (and 'no'; that is not the same). Now I also like vegetable croquettes, but these were also not tasty and substandard. I can't remember getting anything worse than this from a snack bar. And that for €14.50. Most of it went into the trash. You won't see me there anymore.

Always delicious satay. Affordable snack bar. It's a shame that not everything was in the bag when we got home.

Quality is good. Appears very clean. It's always busy and that's probably why the staff doesn't always seem cheerful, but they do their best. I went again after a long time, but this time I was very disappointed. The fries, ordered two portions, but received one bag, were not hot, looked quite dark, but the worst part was that even the thick long fries were completely dry and hard. Very sorry. An extra large portion doesn't make up for that.

I'm not in favor of this, but cold wet fries, cold cheese soufflé (also completely broken), cold Mexicano, cold satay sauce. Scandalous delivery. The owner needs to know this.

Received a lukewarm order for the second time after almost an hour. There is only 1 delivery person who takes his job seriously. The other 2 are incompetent and make a mess. I will never order again. Just screwed up by the delivery people on duty.

Unfortunately, due to increased energy prices, they have closed part of the building. So it ended up being taken away instead of eating on the spot. Great place for a quick bite. Wide choice on the menu. Great meal.

Food is good but it took two hours for my food to be delivered...

We don't often eat fries, but when we do we drive around the block because Carel's Cafeteria has the best fries: well done and just the right amount of salt. But yesterday (November 18) it was disappointing: pale unsalted fries, and a portion of hot wings that didn't go well... Hopefully that was a one-off!

My Da ging Smoor was delicious, something vegetable or sour would make it complete. Will definitely order it more often. See you soon.

Fries are salt-free. Fricandel special was nothing more than a fricandel in a bowl with sauce thrown everywhere except in the fricandel. But the delivery is so bad. When delivered I had to go down from 3 floors to pick it up. From the front door to the stairs is 7 meters and it was on the first tray. Never and never again.

Unexpected location to encounter great food! The people are lovely. My mom plus all her friends adore it there and are regulars. I can only say, that I now understand why.

The food is really great here! It's just a pity that you don't open until 4:00 PM. It would be great if you opened around 12:00. I sit right next to you at the ROC and I would love to get a fries from you during the break. Probably not the only one who thinks this way ;).

Broken fried fries with those white spots on them. Probably way too hot and certainly too old frying fat. The Dobbe croquettes were really dirty. Tasted like no idea!! The satay sauce smelled so bad that we didn't even dare to taste it. We will NEVER come here again. Good luck with the case.

We picked up food there once and we will never do that again. The fries were not tasty. The Gado gado was more of a satay soup with substance. The chicken satay also tasted very strange. I really can't recommend it.

A really great place if you want to eat something tasty quickly. They really have everything! and it's tasty too! You can even order pancakes that are also delicious because they are well packaged!

I've been coming here since I was a toddler, I always used to get an ice cream from the real 'Carel' after we had eaten in the Cafeteria. Nowadays I like to get a Shawarma dish :) friendly staff that works quickly and effectively!

Fries with a frikandel special curry, they were very tasty. Frikandel was a bit smaller in my opinion but very well topped with curry, mayo and onions. Fries nice and crispy as they should be and the mayo..... super tasty. (could be a little more). Not been there for years, worth repeating.

The Chinese food is delicious! It's also nice that you can watch your order being prepared in the kitchen. Nasi.Signapore and the homemade spring rolls are recommended.

Excellent service from the staff. The starter was excellent, questions about the starter were explained to us in detail, chapeau! The main course was also fantastic, special stewed beef prepared in the Chinese way with vegetables specially grown for this dish. Highly recommended! If you would like to eat here, I would recommend that you make a reservation, we did this and got the best seats in the restaurant.

Large portions of freshly prepared Chinese-Indian food. Not expensive. Friendly staff. Whimpers complaining about the price of the sauce in the review is simply on the menu.

We had a super tasty meal, we arrived at half past eight and were allowed to eat our tjaptjoi next to the snack bar. We were given nice plates and cutlery and the food was super tasty... and the people who work there are super friendly. We will come and eat tjaptjoi again soon😋😋🙂🙂😊😊🤗

Tasty food for nice prices. And a lot of choice in different dishes. Easy if one person wants snacks and the other wants Chinese, for example. We like coming here.

Everyone raves about the spring rolls, but four of us have the same opinion: without taste! Ajam pangang and babi pangang are also not to our taste unfortunately. Just threw away two meals

Nice people and excellent meals

Well... We are not completely neutral, it is part of the good memories for us. We had dinner there on the day of our outward journey to Scotland, summer 2017. But we wouldn't go there if we didn't like it and it certainly does! The food is good and not too expensive. A combination of cheap Chinese with a cafeteria. Recommended!

You can enjoy fries with a snack here, but you can also enjoy a good Chinese meal here. Always get help quickly. The pangsit goreng was made completely fresh last time! Had to wait a little longer, but it was worth the wait!
