Carrousel B.V. in Centrum

A lovely terrace in the sun. Unpleasant service and a dated place. Brown hot water was served as hot chocolate milk. When I told the waitress I wasn't okay with this, she was very surprised. It turned out the problem was with the hot chocolate machine. Check carefully and be careful what you're serving, dear staff! This place is not recommended.

We tried this place for the first time last year. We wanted to have a bite to eat and a drink here on a warm summer day and found a spot on the terrace. It took 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted to order a drink. When I commented on this, I received a snappy response from the waitstaff: 'You can go eat somewhere else, and you'll see that you have to wait there too.' What a lovely warm welcome from this friendly lady. We packed our things immediately and left, going to sit at another restaurant on the corner 5 meters away. There, we were served both food and drinks within less than 10 minutes. So, apparently, it wasn't due to the crowds, but simply the arrogant, sluggish attitude of the staff at the Carrousel. Definitely not recommended, and there are plenty of (better) comparable options in the immediate vicinity where you do get food and drinks served within an acceptable time limit.

We come here weekly and always enjoy ourselves. Many regulars. Closed for several weeks now... does anyone know what is going on?

Always good hot Latte Macchiato

Never experienced such poor service. You better stay away. A monkey would run the place better, and the kitchen is a joke. They will never see me there again!!

Have been there before, but apparently different menu this time. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as last time

The food was delicious and we were served quickly. The only disadvantage was the (ladies') toilets.. mold, dirty floor, it stank, soap was on one tap that didn't work, etc. Really better cleaning..

Beautiful large tent with heated terrace. Had a beer and hot chocolate.

Always been good. However, today I ordered two coffees and food. After 40 minutes, even the people who arrived much later were already eating and our food did not arrive. They were just croquettes, so no hassle. We paid for the coffee and left. They said sorry, but if it was my business I would have said leave the coffee alone...then people might come back later

The food and coffee are not good. But the atmosphere is so nice specially with Christmas decorations

Every thursday a nice pubquiz. Good place, though waiting time for waiters is long, they seem to be understaffed. Nacho's are good, prices of the other snacks are on the high side.

We were told by acquaintances that we should have lunch there, but the restaurant was disappointing. Very light and inside it looked like a chicken coop.

Een nog echt ouderwets bruin café. Supergezellig en leuke bediening!

Nice atmosphere inside. Tables not so close together that it feels cramped. Owner is very friendly. Waiters too. Great service. Would definitely recommend!

Bediening was erg onervaren.

Nice ambiance, waiters are very nice and at Thursdays the quiz night brings other lifestyle to the place. You'll spend a nice time here. Just be careful sometimes the bill is wrong.

Food very expensive and not great portions . Very strong with garlic sauce

International Pub quiz on Thursday nights are great

nice place to sit for a quick chat and catch up with friends. good service. spacious enough. great location

I ordered the cheesecake of the day, it was extremly amazing.

Eten was prima!

People working there it’s so nice and the carpaccio delicious. Thank u so much!

Very nice place in the narrow alleys of the centrum.

Heerlijke lunch genoten, aanrader!!!

We had a company dinner (20 people) with an escape game in the evening. It was fun and it was in a closed area only for us.
