Great service, fantastic food (beef in garlic “sju”/saus, sweet potato fries). The beef was so tender and soft. Yumm

Friendly and helpful staff. We sat in the 'back garden' and from there you have a beautiful view of the park. We had a delicious steak for lunch, because steak from Loetje is *always* a good idea! 🤤

Quiet evening, only a few tables occupied on a weekday. The service here is truly terrible. A bottle of wine was placed on the table in a cooler, without even opening or pouring it. They didn't ask if we wanted any water with it (we had to order it). We had to call out twice ourselves to order something. We had to ask if they could finally clear our plates because they had been standing in front of us for at least 20 minutes. No, this place is no good, and certainly not for that price.

A wonderfully peaceful spot and the perfect stop on our bike tour! The espresso was absolutely delicious and the snacks were fantastic too. Just the right break for the road. 😇

Great food, bad service and waitstaff. The website states that the place closes at 9:30 PM, but we were asked to order our last round at 9:03 PM. We also heard the waitstaff shouting to each other a few times, "Shall we bring them the bill already?" "Oh, they're standing up, going to pay now." If you'd rather watch your guests outside than keep them inside, don't work in the hospitality industry. We are loyal guests of Loetje: Laren, Amsterdam, Vught, but Eindhoven is truly very customer-unfriendly. We are waiting to see if this is resolved properly.

Had a delicious meal yesterday, I just missed being asked how we wanted the steak cooked. Also a shame that there was a substantial dollop of mayonnaise under the fries; it would be better to serve this separately.

We got half a loaf of white bread when we wanted bread with our meal. The fries were dry. My mussels were swimming in sauce. Too overhyped, a no-go!

Last Saturday, we went to eat at Loetje in Eindhoven. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. In our opinion, the price-quality ratio is not balanced. Upon arrival, we had to wait about ten minutes before we were greeted and escorted to a table. Subsequently, it took some time again before our order was taken. We ordered drinks, a starter, and for the main course, a Biefstuk Bali XL for both of us. To our surprise, the starter was served within five minutes, even though we hadn't even received our drinks yet. This gave us the impression that the starter was already prepared and not freshly made. Additionally, we noticed that when ordering the steak, we were not asked how we wanted it cooked. For a restaurant known specifically for its steak, we had expected, at the very least, to be asked if we wanted it rare, medium, or well done. All in all, this was a disappointing experience for us. Given the price, we had expected more attention to service and quality. Unfortunately, this was the last time we ate at Loetje.

Last night, I went out for dinner with my son at Loetje in Eindhoven. We had made a reservation for 5:00 PM, but fortunately, we were able to get a drink a little earlier. The traffic wasn't too bad, and we quickly found a parking spot right outside. My son really wanted to try the Loetje burger, and I wanted my favorite: the calf's liver with onions and bacon. Both were perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. The portions were large enough, and combined with sweet potato fries, there was no room left for dessert. So, we had a cup of coffee afterwards. We will definitely be back!

What a nice place... staff very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Humor and interaction with the customer. Not to mention you get value for money, steak top-notch, salad bowl, and a bowl of fries. And of course your slice of bread for the gravy. We can only write: TOP, thank you very much, and the nougat whahahaha.

The steak was good, but we weren't asked how we wanted it cooked. We had ordered a mixed salad on the side for 6.75, but this turned out to be part of a firm head of lettuce, not separated, topped with half an egg with bacon bits, some sauce, and a tomato. There was also no fork or serving spoon with the salad, nor separate plates to put the salad on, due to the gravy on the plate with the steak. Not recommended. Furthermore, we had ordered fries; the mayonnaise was not served separately, resulting in the fries swimming in mayonnaise. Moreover, I wasn't finished eating yet while my girlfriend was, and the waiter wanted to clear the table already. To top it all off, the cleaning cloth was left lying there as well. There are still many areas for improvement. I have pointed this out!!!!

We dined with four people on Saturday. One of us ordered a salad with steak. When it arrived at the table, it smelled like fish. Each of us tasted it and confirmed this. We sent it back, but the chef claimed there was nothing wrong with it. We didn't finish the salad either. But no apology or removal of this dish from the bill. Never again Loetje for us!!!

This Loetje is located on the edge of Eindhoven's city center. The food was delicious, and you could make the portions (at least the steak and your choice of side dishes) as large or small as you liked. The service was genuinely outstanding. If I have to mention any downsides (that's a strong word), it would be the interior (I personally don't find it very cozy/it's too industrial), the expensive parking (though I think that's logical for a big city), and the fact that the men's restroom isn't downstairs but requires you to climb a (at least for me) difficult staircase. But all in all, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Ridiculous! We had to wait almost an hour and a half for our food, no exaggeration. Due to the long wait, I even had to top up my parking meter because my parking time was about to expire. I had already paid for three hours of parking just to be safe, but even that turned out not to be enough. A truly disappointing experience.

We were shown to our table and then had to wait 15 minutes to get the menu, which, by the way, we had to ask the lady who brought our drinks—which we had ordered via the table QR code, where you only have spirits and snacks. She then gave us the menu. We had to wait another good 10 minutes before our food order was taken, and then, without exaggeration, we stood waiting for our food for an hour. The wait staff were either non-existent or too busy with each other, and if you wanted to call them for help, they would look away and walk off again. You could clearly see that many tables were not enjoying themselves, and you could also hear the tables around you complaining about how long it was taking to be served (there were hardly any tables and more than enough staff). Finally, we managed to get the attention of an older, tall gentleman who was also very rude. I don't know what kind of training they have had, but this is certainly not a place to eat, and the food was also incredibly disappointing. I would definitely advise against it, and that after a nice day at a graduation ceremony.

I was here recently for the first time and it was super delicious. As always, plenty of choice regarding food and drinks, buuuut we always go for the carpaccio and this one was 👌🏼 again. My partner asked if the lettuce could be left off the carpaccio and just a little arugula on top. We were told that this was no problem and they would pass it on to the chef. For the main course, we both had the classic garlic beef tenderloin steak.... With sweet potato fries and a little mayonnaise and aioli. Do you want to eat steak? Then you go to Loetje! It's a shame they only had 1 "type" of steak (in different weights/grammages). It was very tasty, but it's a pity the menu is small.

Had another delicious meal, though it was very noisy inside; this is likely due to the acoustics. Because of this, we couldn't hear very well what the staff were saying. In our opinion, it wasn't super busy since we didn't have to make a reservation and there was a table available immediately. This is a good place to go for a bite to eat.

Once is enough, never again! Way too crowded! Had to wait two hours for food. At one place, they said they were out of onions (really! How is that possible?). At the other, the steak was way overcooked (a bit strange when you order "rare"). We mentioned this, it was taken back, and a new one was cooked. However, it took half an hour, and my table companions had long finished eating by the time it arrived. To make up for it, a drink was offered. The wrong beer was brought (specialty beer instead of lager). This was a Mother's Day to never forget. In a negative sense, that is.... bleh!

You could eat the best steak there. Well, that is absolutely true. Delicious, perfectly cooked in the sauce, great for dipping with fresh white bread. Finger-licking good. The starter, side dish, and dessert were also top-notch. We had a great evening and will definitely be back 👌👌👌👌

Unfortunately, my experience at Loetje was very disappointing. We went for dinner on a weekday with four people and it was quite quiet in the restaurant, but the staff were still running around like headless chickens. For a bill of over €150, I really had expected more. The food was okay, but certainly nothing special for that price. Personally, I would prefer to choose another restaurant where you get better quality and service for the same amount, or even less. It is a real shame because this was not my first time at Loetje, and the previous visits had been fine.

Possibility to sit in the terrace under sun makes it perfect for spring and summer times. Inside I smell the cooking but may not disturbing if you are hungry

The authentic way to cook steak with white bread for dipping, delicious

We had a delicious meal, but the seating was a bit close together and we had to wait quite a long time before we could order.

Expectations were high, as I had been told that this is a restaurant where you can eat good meat. The website also mentioned one of the best and tastiest steaks. I went there and sat outside, which was pleasant in itself. However, the service was poor, because when ordering, my starter was confused with the main course. I had ordered a 300-gram steak, but received a small one. In hindsight, it was perhaps a good thing they made a mistake, because the small steak I received was truly minuscule and absolutely not worth the money. In short, not only was the service substandard, but the value for money is also very poor: it is very expensive for what you get and the quality was disappointing.

A dessert or a small surprise would have been a nice gesture, especially since it was a birthday. One of us was celebrating their birthday, and we had asked in advance if Loetje could perhaps arrange something small or a surprise. They said yes at the time, but ultimately nothing was done with it. We found that very disappointing. In addition, the service unfortunately did not go well either. There were four of us, and only 2 of the 4 had ordered their drinks when the waiter suddenly walked away in the middle of the order. We found that very strange and unprofessional. He did not speak Dutch, which was not a problem for us, but we noticed that this could probably be difficult for other guests. When he walked away, we called him back and clearly asked: “Can we also get a big water bottle please?” He replied: “Sure,” but then returned with one small glass of tap water. After that, we asked for a large bottle of water again. He said again: “ok sure,” but then brought an already opened bottle with tap water in it. There were several dirty particles floating around in that bottle, which was absolutely not hygienic. He also approached the table in a strange manner. At one point, we were in the middle of a conversation, and without any announcement, he suddenly appeared at the table and started talking loudly, instead of, for example, politely indicating that our drinks had arrived or quietly asking for our attention. That came across as very awkward and unprofessional. Afterwards, we called over another waiter, who immediately brought a large bottle of Sourcy water without any issues. That made the situation even stranger, because it was apparently perfectly possible. This gave us the feeling that the first waiter was deliberately being difficult or not taking his job seriously. The cutlery we received was also not clean and still had stains on it. I find it very unfortunate that the service went this way, especially at a birthday party where you specifically expect extra attention to be paid to the experience. As guests, we shouldn't have to explain what basic service and hygiene are supposed to be like. Especially to adults who look older than us. I do not recommend eating at Loetje, especially not for a special event!!! The food wasn't special either, go eat at another chain!

The food is just as I’ve come to expect from Loetje. Simply good. The atmosphere and ambiance are quite different from Amsterdam, which I personally find a bit of a shame. The service is also a bit disorganized; during the meal, you have to ask if drinks can be added to your order. All in all, still 5 stars.

I was unexpectedly invited by friends to dinner here. It's a nice place with plenty of parking. The steaks, for which they're famous, were all of excellent quality and had a huge amount of gravy. The desserts were also incredibly delicious. All in all, highly recommended.

I came for lunch with a friend. The atmosphere on a Sunday was rather calm. In summer they have a terrace which looks cozy. Service was correct and everything we ordered came quickly. The quality of the food is fine, not bad but not wonderful either, just a good middle point. The bread from the broodje was actually good compared to moet Dutch bread. Pricing is a bit weird, i would say salads are overpriced compared to other elements in the menu. The place is known for their steaks but we didn't try them as we just went for a quick lunch.

We had a delicious steak and bread in a rather dull hall. The service, in my opinion, is a waste of money. For example, while we were waiting for our order, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Such a shame.

I've been to Loetje's many times, in Amsterdam, The Hague, etc. I always order the Bali salad... the one in Eindhoven was good too, but unfortunately a bit too dry. It simply needed more dressing. Hence only 4 stars. The service and location, however, were as always... very nice.

They didn't ask how the steak should be cooked, so it got medium-well. Not my thing, more like a weirdo. The appetizers were good. The desserts were decent. The staff was friendly and quick. Parking is available in front of the building, but it's not cheap.

We stopped here for a bite to eat during our vacation. I give them a 9.8. The food was delicious, and the service was super friendly. We brought our dog along, and he was welcome (it's already listed on the website), and he even got a dog treat. If you're looking for a place to eat, you've come to the right place. We ate here tonight with six people, and it was definitely enjoyable and the food was excellent. My only tip is that the gravy is very salty. We also had fries, which were also quite salty, which wasn't really necessary. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

40 euros for a steak swimming in margarine. A good restaurant uses clarified butter, but of course, you have to watch the costs... The service was also terrible. Everything took a long time, and gravy was spilled on one of our jackets. First and last time here.

My son and I had made a reservation for Friday, October 31st, and we arrived 35 minutes late. We'd been stuck in traffic, and it just wasn't working out. It was totally our own fault, but the lady at reception was just plain rude. Her response: "After 15 minutes, the table will be taken, and we're full, goodbye." My eight-year-old son, who has a huge crush on Loetje, actually asked me, "Why is she so angry, Daddy?" The food is fantastic, but this really hits home when we think about Loetje.

I'm familiar with the concept, but that was a few years ago. Loetje Eindhoven is large but lacks atmosphere. It was also very busy because of DDW. The staff apparently thought we were already from a nursing home, because we were treated as if we didn't understand anything. This was already the case upon arrival. The food was good but pricey. Furthermore, you have to order side dishes with every main course. Finally, I asked for the bill, which was slammed on the table, and then it took another 10 minutes before we could finally pay. And there too, we were treated like a bunch of little children or elderly people who don't understand how a debit card works. Damn, work in IT yourself. And then finally, the "friendly" help when the parking lot gate wasn't working. In other words, you're on your own. So unfortunately, this was a one-time, unique experience not to be repeated.

You'd think Loetje is a well-known recipe by now. It became famous for its steak gravy and white bread. Well, the steak with gravy is indeed very tasty. The starter and dessert were okay, but nothing special. Anyway, you go to Loetje for the steak. If you don't want steak, I personally wouldn't go to Loetje.

The restaurant is very modern and quite large. We arrived on a rainy day, and it wasn't very busy during the day. This made it a bit chilly in the restaurant. The staff came to us immediately and were very friendly. The menu offers other options besides steak. All dishes are served without side dishes; you have to order them separately. I always find that a shame. We opted for steak, which is served with a generous amount of (delicious) sauce and two slices of white bread. I really liked that, as that's what my grandfather (RIP) ate when I was little. Very satisfied with the restaurant on all counts.
