Lunchroom Restaurant Queen Bee in Ontginning

Queen Bee has really gone downhill. We ordered an omelet, but it was literally slammed onto two limp sandwiches. It didn't look very appetizing. There are more people in my circle who think the quality of Queen Bee has deteriorated compared to now. My sister and I are too.

My go-to place for a cup of coffee and sometimes lunch. Very cozy and great service.

Great, and walking an extra time for a bowl of water for the dog is no problem. I usually eat a cheese sandwich there without ham, which they do even though it's not on the menu. The coffee is good.

As a group of friends, we like to go out for lunch or coffee every month. It's nice here, but we were shocked by the bill, even for just drinks. We also wanted to eat, but when we saw the price list, we left. Way too expensive; we won't be back.

Pleasant and cozy restaurant in the mid-range segment, good menu and pleasant and competent service.

I had a flammkuchen with brie and walnuts, but it wasn't quite my cup of tea. It was a soft cheese mass with few walnuts and a hard crust around it. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be, but it just wasn't my thing. I've had flammkuchen elsewhere before, and I found them much lighter and a bit softer.

A nice, cozy "tent" with rocking chairs on the outdoor patio. Inside, the decor is cozy and colorful. Enjoyed a delicious lunch, and the service was friendly.

After a friendly welcome, we thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic, warm meat sandwich. The other dishes that came by looked just as delicious as our choice. In short, top-notch cuisine and top-notch service. A delicious meal at a fair price. This certainly wasn't our last visit to this establishment.

We sat down on the terrace. The service arrived fairly quickly and was very friendly. We ordered two croque madames and one Italian bun with tuna salad. It took almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The toasted sandwiches were delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked. But the Italian bun seemed old and had been reheated to make it look fresher. Very dry. The tuna salad wasn't a salad at all because the tuna had been placed straight from the can on the bun. The whole thing was so dry that it was impossible to eat without absorbing any liquid. The result: two people were satisfied and one very disappointed. We mentioned it to the staff, who were going to pass it on to the kitchen, but we never heard from them again. A shame, a missed opportunity.

They had the best hamburger I've ever eaten. It was so good it made my ears quiver. For a reasonable price, I ate my fill.

The staff came back to the table after 3 minutes and asked us four times if we wanted something to drink. This was even though we had already eaten and drunk. It's a shame.

Vandaag voor diner. Ook al 2x voor koffie en gebak geweest. Dit beviel zo goed, wordt echt werk van gemaakt. Gebak op mooi versierd bord met saus en vers fruit en gezellige bediening!!! Ook het diner was fantastisch, heerlijk gegeten en weer voortreffelijke sfeer. Een dikke 10 voor het eten en bediening, TOP! Tot de volgende keer. Cora

A single chicken pie costs €16.50. I think the price is far too high for such a small meal. At other restaurants, you get two well-filled pie cases for around €10. This is also the last time we've been here.

Had a lovely meal outside on the terrace on a summer evening. Friendly service. Recommended!

Capuchon/latte/nogatine ijsgebakje besteld. Ongeveer 15 minuten later werd gebakje op tafel gezet zonder vorkje!! Het was zo druk geen tijd, na kwam weer een kwartier kwam vorkje daar achteraan de cappucino en latte!!! Ongelooflijk als je niet voldoende personeel hebt gooi dan gedeelte terras dicht , nooit meer!!

Goede bediening, lekker eten. Gezellig zitten binnen en buiten. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Meestal goed bezocht dus dat zegt ook al genoeg.

Koffie zeer slecht en slap. Lunch idem. Hamburger droog en doorgebakken en ook het ei erop te ver doorgebakken en uitgedroogd. Op droge Italiaanse bol. Tosti hawai ook.erg droog alsof er oud brood gegrilld was. Prijs kwaliteit erg duur gezien de slechte kwaliteit en presentatie. Voelde bijna als oplichting om hier zo'n 30 euro voor neer te tellen.

Enjoyed lunch with 2 adults and 2 children. Very friendly service. Food was tasty and price ok.

We took a seat on the terrace and were able to order our drink after about 10 minutes. What was immediately noticeable was that the recordings were made by unkempt older staff. After 20 minutes I was asked again where the order was (2 beers). People said it was busy. The terrace was well filled and I think there were 10 people inside. Finally the refreshments arrived and after they had been consumed they went inside to pay, at least if they had time to do so because they were chatting pleasantly with 4 members of staff. When we ate, we did not see what was being served around us and what was being returned to the kitchen here and there. A glass of beer was well paid, but from now on that is more the rule than the exception. The price list of the food is far above average, there are restaurants where it is better priced and at a glance the food looks better prepared than in this lunchroom.

For a nice trip to the Keukenhof.

Today for the 2nd time I left the terrace at the parking lot. Thought we would have a nice lunch in the sun, but either the waitstaff was awake or the staff paid no attention to that terrace at all. Zaterdag 5 april op het terras van QueenB 2 Leffe Bruin besteld en een portie bitterballen. Serveerster kwam met een dienblad met daarop de grote glazen met Leffe Bruin brengen, bij ons tafeltje aangekomen wilde ze een glas van het dienblad pakken maar het dienblad hield ze schuin met het resultaat dat mijn man de glazen en het bier over zich heen kreeg. Resultaat: een kletsnatte broek, natte trui en natte schoenen. De serveerster zei sorry, er kwam een andere serveerster met een handdoek en met de vraag of de bitterballen nog door konden komen.....daar hebben we vriendelijk voor bedankt! Het had ze gesierd als er een manager was gekomen om ons misschien op een andere dag alsnog de biertjes en de bitterballen aan te bieden als service maar dat soort service kennen ze daar niet!

Great lunchroom for a tasty lunch, both cold and hot recommended. It is always busy and that is a good sign, the service is friendly and fast. The crowds and limited space make it difficult to have a conversation with someone at the table, but you can't have everything.

Ordered steak with mushroom sauce. The mushroom sauce was a bit of a bland mess and you had to search for the mushrooms. Also lots of fried onions and the vegetables came from the freezer. The steak was tough.

1 star is still too much. I think Mr. Ad at the counter feels like the king, I asked if he had salt and pepper for my egg, and he sighed deeply and shrugged his shoulders because he had to walk up and down because we had already asked for a napkin. Normally you would think that there is a salt and pepper set on every table, then you wouldn't have had to sigh so much. Unbelievable! May you work in ministry with such an attitude. We had 2x half an one with a shrimp croquette that was still frozen. When they came to ask if everything was tasty and to your liking, we gave an honest answer and that was not appreciated either! Tip for if you can't handle criticism; then don't ask. Just look at the photos and decide for yourself whether you want to eat there. I would run very fast.

Nice place to have lunch or sit on a terrace. Adje and Kimmie create the atmosphere. You can see that the staff enjoys working there and are always up for a chat.

Didn't eat there but the coffee was fine.

Ik kom al bij queen B vanaf het vorige pand . Bediening is super . Laatste 2 bezoeken waren zeer slecht . De vorige keer een gort droge tosti . Waarvan het personeel zei . Dit wil de baas zo er klagen steeds mensen over . En zo net koffie met een kersenflap deze moest je met een loep zoeken . Er zat 1 kers in en kwam echt niet zoals ze zeiden van een bakker . ( was helemaal uitgedroogd ) Denk van de Lidl aan de overkant . Hoewel die nog beter smaken. De prijs voor een cappuccino een thee en 2 gebakjes bijna 17 euro. Wij hebben besloten hier niet meer te komen . Jammer . De prijzen zijn absurd hoog voor wat je krijgt .

The food is tasty. Not that you say wow! But just delicious for lunch. The portions are quite large, so even if you are a little hungry, a sandwich is more than enough. A very busy restaurant with average food. Some of the meals have weirdly paired sauces and portion sizes vary more than I'd expect.

We had a great evening with the children with delicious food and good service in a nice atmosphere. The price/performance ratio is good. If we are in the area again we would like to come back.

The menu and service should be replaced. Plus it's full of flies and insects. I felt like making a cake, but when I saw a fat, nasty fly flying in the cake display case, I immediately wanted to eat it. Poor menu, little choice. Only toast for breakfast?? Seriously??

Queen bee viel ons helaas zwaar tegen. We bestelden beide een schnitzel en drinken, werd geserveerd met en schaaltje frites en een schaaltje rauwkost. De schnitzel kwam duidelijk uit de frituur, maar smaakte wel. Echter bij het afrekenen bleek dat we de frites nog apart moesten afrekenen, de schnitzel stond voor €24,50 op de kaart we moesten €62 afrekenen. Ik heb ook piggy spaarprogramma, werd ons helaas niet op geattendeerd dat hun dit ook hebben. Voor lunch is deze gelegenheid oké, voor diner absoluut niet. Queen Bee, what happened here? Had lunch here with my mother on Thursday 08-08-24. We hadn't been there for a while and saw that the menu had changed with associated price increases. We both wanted Carpaccio but not really a sandwich. We decided to order the Carpaccio appetizer. For an amount of over €16. For this generous price, we expected a large plate that you would be proud of. Especially if you compare it with restaurants in the higher segment that do not yet charge this for a carpaccio starter. But gosh... I didn't take a picture of the portion but it was really disappointing. So small. And thinly invested. Really ridiculous. Two carpaccio starters, one coke zero, one bitter lemon and a small bowl of fries with mayonnaise €45.30 In my opinion, a very missed opportunity from Queen Bee. They don't see us anymore.

Hele slechte kwaliteit eten en slechte bediening. bij mijn opmerking over de oude en verdorde rucola, kreeg ik als antwoord we hebben niks anders. Toen ik zei dat je dit niet kon serveren aan een klant was het antwoord, als de carpaccio maar vers is. Tegenover deze locatie op 5 meter afstand is een supermarkt maar dat was geen optie. Ik heb dit gerecht geweigerd. Geen excuses vanuit het personeel.

Have been here twice and love it. Friendly staff bringing you good food, quickly, at a decent price. Interior is colourful and cheerful without being too busy. Outside terrace sunny and breezy. I recommend the sandwich with ham mushrooms and saté if you are looking for a hearty lunch. Nice to sit either inside or outside, though my one criticism is that the music they play is the type of radio pop that hurts my appetite a little (but not so much that I can't finish their delicious sandwiches). Note of caution: don't order any big meaty sandwiches (like the foccacia carpaccio) unless you are good and hungry. You'll have a wonderful meal here, the only question is whether you'll be able to finish it all.

I sometimes meet up at the Queen Bee to catch up with an old acquaintance. I don't think the Woensel Shopping Center is very attractive, but at Queen Bee you don't notice that at all. Lunch is always excellent, the coffee is tasty and the service attentive and cordial. So I like coming there!

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding enorm slecht. Ik had een twaalf uurtje, heet daar half eentje. Veel te weinig op je bord. Kapot eitje. Schil eitje op het eitje . Werd niets mee gedaan. Koude soep. Kreeg nieuwe. Middag en avond niet lekker geweest. Was het eitje niet goed?

Serveerster is heel vriendelijk, maar eten (lunch) zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Had een half1 the als lunch gerecht. De snede brood was niets aparts gewoon wit brood waarvan 1 snede het laatste snede van het brood was, gebakken ei was koud de plakken kaas waren niet vers en aan de randen wit uitgedroogd, soepje lauw en niet lekker , het enige wat er mee door kon was het kroketje. Omdat ik de kaas aan de kant had gelegd had ik nog brood anders eet je het kroketje gewoon zo, komkommer was slapen papperig.

Nice place to have a nice basic lunch or diner. They also have some breakfast eggs. Taking the order took a while but Drinks and food were served quickly after.

I liked it and it was nice to have lunch here. I had made a reservation and I saw that it was already quite busy. I asked if there was a place that was less busy and that was possible. We could sit upstairs, but that had to be done by scanning a QR code. So instead of being used to a menu card, you have to do this on your phone and you also pay for your food immediately, so when you're done with lunch you can get up and go whenever you want. The great thing about this is you don't have to wait when someone sees you to pay. A possible disadvantage is that you have to order everything on your phone and cannot pay in cash but via your bank. (But that makes sense, but I'll add it anyway) We had a nice meal, the service was good, they came every now and then to check if we wanted anything, so all in all we had a nice day.

Leuke plek. Goed eten maar oooooh wat irritant dat de serveerster om de 2 minuten langs kwam om te vragen of we nog iets wilden bestellen. Continue met haar bestelpad in de hand voorbij lopen. Voelt niet als rustig even borrelen.

We ate here last Saturday. The service is adequate and they passed our table a few times. Finally they stopped and we were able to place our order. Now I was really looking forward to a pie, but what a disappointment! The sauce was so thick that it stuck to the meat and tasted very much like flour. We reported this when we wanted to pay. My plate was half empty the entire time and no one came to ask if I enjoyed it. You will enjoy other dishes, but you should not eat pies here.

The place is kind of cozy even though a bit dated. The people that work there were very nice. I ordered the mushroom/onion toast. It turned out to be an open sandwich: 2 slices of bread, topped  with the mushroom-onion mixture. I was expecting closed toast with the mixture and cheese. Was disappointed but to be fair  the cheese part was not on the menu. The taste was a bit plain. My friend got the salmon toast, this one was proper toast and my friend said it was nice.  We shared french fries and they were crispy. We also had Appelbal pastry, which was warmed up for us and was delicious. The prices are average for most of the things but some of the meals seemed a bit expensive for such a café. I did not order any of them so I can not say if the portions were huge or what. If I am not mistaken, the schnitzel one was something like 28 euro. For sure on the menu there are many things to choose from.

Delicious sandwich, three slices of brown whole wheat bread with ham, cheese and pineapple, ketchup and raw vegetables, perfect. It was so busy that newcomers had to wait for a table to become available, so it must be good.....
