Delicious food, great service! Could have been a bit faster, though.

Let me start on a positive note... The atmosphere is cozy; you can sit inside, outside under an awning, or on a terrace by the water. The food tastes great, but the price-to-quantity ratio is simply appalling. My husband had spare ribs, which tasted good and were buttery tender...but it was a ridiculously small piece of rib. You pay 26 euros for them, which is truly excessive. We mentioned this to the waitress, but she laughed it off and quickly asked if we wanted dessert. We also ordered fries and a salad...what you get is a small bucket of fries with the amount for one person, and the salad is also far too little. All in all, we didn't return to our vacation destination satisfied, only to open a bag of chips there... It's a shame, because it's a nice restaurant.

If you're going to eat here, go to McDonald's first because the amount of food you get is disproportionate to the price. I had the spare ribs and my wife the pork tenderloin. The spare ribs are served with a sauce, and the pork tenderloin has some spinach on it. You also get a container of fries with mayonnaise, which is for two people. We ordered a salad (€4.50) with it, otherwise you wouldn't have any vegetables at all. The containers are comparable to a large mug. Spare ribs cost €26.90, and the pork tenderloin €24.90. The quality of the food is good, honestly, but again, it's far too little for what you pay. It's a shame because it's a nice place and the waitresses do their best. However, when she asked if it was good and I said it was a bit small, she laughed it off and didn't do anything about it.

We've been here several times now, and we keep coming back. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the vegan and vegan options are great! See you next time!

Great food, excellent menu, good and friendly service

Last night we had a lovely time on the terrace, behind a glass by the water. We started with a zero-proof beer served in beautiful glasses. The spare ribs were the best we've had in years. The bone fell off, and there was plenty of meat with little to no fat, topped with a deliciously crispy herb coating. The fries were delicious, crispy, and nicely seasoned. My aunt had the Italian chicken, served on a bed of spaghetti, and she loved it too. Nicely seasoned with garlic and tomatoes. Finally, we had coffee and cappuccino served with a cookie. All in all, a wonderful dinner with great service. We'll be back soon, especially for the delicious fries and a zero-proof beer.

If you want to sit with friends for 3 hours with 1 drink, this is the best place in Emmeloord. No one will ask you if you want something to drink during these 3 hours. If you accidentally want a 2nd drink, you will literally have to pull the unmotivated staff from behind the bar to give your order. Fortunately, there were 2 people ready to pay the bill, so that went very smoothly.

Nice place by the water. Unfortunately the food is rather disappointing. I had the mixed grill and my friend the chicken thigh satay. The chicken thigh satay was the same skewer of ready-made pre-cooked wholesale chicken, red spiced, as the chicken skewer of my mixed grill. Nothing oriental or homemade / marinated about it. The spare ribs are advertised on the menu as falling off the bone, well-known, deliciously marinated, etc. This also turned out to be ready-made frozen spare rib, little meat and a thick layer of marinade / spices, certainly not loose on the bone, homemade, or deliciously marinated. The entrecote was still red on the inside but still super tough and not fried but stewed gray, or so it seemed. The mixed salad with an egg that was ordered (because it was not included in the meal), according to the menu, was also quite disappointing. Little lettuce, a lot of thick dressing, two pieces of wholesale egg, 1 cut cherry tomato. The mixed grill of 30 euros is very overpriced in this way, the qualitatively minimal salad should have been included for that money. The waitress did her best but clearly had the assignment to sell all customers who came to eat a bread board, this was strongly recommended / actively asked: do you want something to eat and a bread board beforehand? The paid bread board was also of no special quality and for 2 people little in terms of quantity. Also special is that the waitress, when I notice that there was something (looked like a twig) in the aioli, says: oh, that blew in when I walked here... And fishes it out with her nail and just leaves it on the table as if that is completely normal. The music in the restaurant is very loud, luckily we were sitting outside.

Super friendly service and good food

July 2023. I'm sure there is another cook. The food has become considerably more expensive and you notice that less attention is paid to it. The ingredients and therefore the quality are skimped on. The menu has become a lot smaller and it is reported that a few dishes are sold out. Risotto with Salmon, Salmon fine, Risotto prepared with stock and peas, no onions or mushrooms to be seen, too dry and little taste. The parmesan cheese also seems forgotten. Steak too dry, potato pieces barely cooked. Garnish very sharply seasoned. Order additional salad for €3.90. Very small container with a drizzle of mayonnaise. The grand dessert, a lot of frozen stuff put on a plate with some fruit that is not ripe. It was always good food here, but for now they won't see us anymore.

Pleasant on a Saturday evening, drinks at a reasonable price, but that is no different elsewhere.

Great meal. The starter "flame in the pan" is a special surprise. Steak fine. Nice wine. It's just a pity that the music is a bit too loud and the conservatory is a bit noisy. But recommended!

Great and delicious restaurant/cafe, the best in the polder. I've been coming there for almost more than 15 years and the food remains delicious. Good menu with a lot of choice and the top dishes remain on the menu (the delicious duck unfortunately not :( ) vegetarian is also perfectly catered for, but you have to ask for it specifically. The summer terrace on the water is a nice solution on the warm summers. If the quality and atmosphere remain constant, I will definitely come again for another 15 years!

It was nice, but unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. Various beers from different places that are worth trying, and of course a multitude of other drinks and beverages that cannot be covered in one evening. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I honestly recommend it, everyone will find something for themselves there..

Had a really great evening yesterday! I was in a wheelchair, but they were very friendly and helpful. The staff was generally very cheerful and helpful. The food was excellent. We didn't have to wait long and the portions were a good size. We will definitely come back!

Very nice tent on the water in the otherwise slightly less attractive Emmeloord, Chillers is the positive atmosphere! (More than enough) extensive menu, food exceeded expectations, really good! Service is super friendly and fast. It might be useful to make a reservation, it was packed on a normal Thursday evening, even though we didn't make a reservation we still got a table, at 7:00 PM the shop was full.

For us, this case is a winner. In terms of conviviality, a nice pub drive in the front. The restaurant area is spacious with indoor and outdoor choices. Beautiful on the water and nice romantic feeling. The salmon with risotto is highly recommended.

Found by chance while passing through with the search term nice restaurants Emmeloord. And it was a success. No nonsense food and very good service. Reason to go back again.

Very tasty meal! They have many vegan dishes, and everything we tasted was delicious. The only downside I think is that the vegan menu is really a special menu. You will not automatically receive this with the "normal" card, but you have to ask for it separately. It is not that plant-based eating is something completely different, so it would make more sense if this menu was also included in the "normal" menu, so that everyone could order something from it. Furthermore, really great service and once again a delicious meal!

In itself a great restaurant, but the acoustics drive me a bit crazy. The conservatory in particular is a wonderful sound box. An average indoor pool on a Wednesday afternoon is quieter. The waitress at reception was apparently used to that noise because she almost shouted at us. The food is reasonable to good, but price-quality is not in balance in my opinion. A bowl of salad or sauce with your spareribs is unashamedly charged for. I wouldn't. Nevertheless, we had a great evening.

Vegetarian/vegan food WITH MEAT!!! My wife, who has been a vegetarian/vegan for more than 24 years, has been served meat/fish 3 times in 2.5 years! Totally unacceptable and disrespectful! Found out in time last time, but unfortunately today she ate unwanted meat. Ordered from the vegetarian menu all times. Also asked for this card every time. Confidence in this restaurant is gone!!! This is the first time we have given a restaurant a negative review. The reaction after noticing the meat in a vegetarian dish, and eating it, was a fleeting apology and that this would be remedied by the right dish. As you could have seen from the 2 dishes subsequently served to my wife who is a vegetarian, hardly any of this had been eaten! Confidence in the vegetarian food at this restaurant is gone. Immediately after this dinner we once again expressed our dissatisfaction. I also think it is a shame that the owner takes the position that this happened once. Unfortunately, in previous years we have also received a "vegetarian" soup with bacon. And a "vagetariche" risotto with salmon. Thank you for the offer that we are still welcome in your restaurant. But as mentioned earlier, confidence in this restaurant is gone!

Celebrating my 65th birthday was already a party, but in the room upstairs and with more than enough tapas snacks it became a super party. My gratitude is great.

Mn tafelgenote vond t lekker, ik zal t herfststoofvlees niet meer bestellen, maar ms ben ik te kritisch op stoofvlees 🤔

Geweldig lekker gegeten , gevulde kip, en een menu van de dag, . Wat een smaak ervaring, zeker de moeite waard Leuk en gezellig personeel, die weten waar ze het over hebben. Echt een aanrader. Qua bieren en dranken enorm veel keus.

Het eten was erg lekker alleen wel overprijst voor de hoeveelheid die je kreeg. Het frisdrank waren zat in die glazen 200ml flesje. Dat kosten iets van 3 euro. Had dan op ten minst 250 of 330ml gedaan voor die prijs. De service was verschillend. Er was een vrouw (bediende) en die was een beetje "koud". En dan was er een andere vrouw en die was heel enthousiast waardoor je je gelijk welkom en comfortabel voelde. De sfeer was er wel. Er waren 3 soorten binnen zitplekken. De eerste was de bar en daar zat ook formule 1 op (2 tvs) dus zul je vast ook andere evenementen kunnen zien (bijv. Voetbal). Dit is vooral om te drinken en er speelt ook muziek af. De twee plek was in een andere "kamer", dat was wat rustiger en nogsteeds gezellig. De tweede was was het zelfde maar ook iets minder lawaai. En dan als laatst heb je nog een plek buiten met twee glazen wanden en een glazen dak, waardoor je uit de wind zit. Hier speelde ook muziek af. Oja dan had je ook nog een groter terras buiten alleen daar ben ik niet geweest, omdat er toen veel wind was.

Een restaurant met smaak beleving een menu kaart ,een vegetarisch kaart ,en een vegan kaart. Voor ieders wat wils en een zeer ruime keus. Erg nette bediening. Bier ja dat is daar op de tap ik denk 10 verschillende soorten en nog flesjes voor een ieder wat wils Wij hebben lekker gegeten en komen zeker weer terug.

Gisteravond hier gegeten. Super grote kaart met veganistisch eten wat erg lekker was. Zeer zeker aanrader. Ook de reguliere kaart ziet er goed uit en was lekker. Kortom aanrader!

Gezellig op het terras gezeten. Het was erg druk en daardoor moesten we wat langer op ons eten wachten. Bediening was vriendelijk. Het eten was prima. Als je de spareribs besteld, zou ik zeker saus of de pittige saus erbij bestellen want van zichzelf waren die een beetje flauw. Als je vegan/melkvrij/glutenvrij bent kun je hier ook terecht, want daar hebben ze een aparte menukaart voor. De glutenvrije vegan brownie was erg lekker!!

Lekker ontspannen borrelen, en heerlijk eten. Super gast vriendelijk. Graag hoe ik het zie! Aanrader. De asperges met zalm waren heerlijk!!

Hier prima gegeten. Vriendelijk personeel en een fijne sfeer. Wel twee aandachtspunten: 1) De hoofdgerechten mogen wel wat ruimer geserveerd worden; 2) De frites die bij de gerechten geserveerd worden zijn niet 'rustiek' zoals op de menukaart aangegeven wordt maar gewone cafetaria frites.

Echt een geweldig ervaring om veganistisch (vegan) te kunnen dineren. Er was een geheel aparte kaart aanwezig met heerlijke en unieke gerechten. Normaal is de keuzen tussen een bieten burger en risotto al snel gemaakt, maar wat een ruime keuze aan gerechten zeg. Ik had echt moeite met kiezen! Mijn complimenten! De enige tip die ik heb is toen we binnen kwamen werd er nergers duidelijk iets vermeld over de aanwezigheid van deze vegan menukaart en kregen we in eerste instantie de vlees menukaart. Misschien iets duidelijker maken? Maar dat deed natuurlijk niks af aan de totaal ervaring! Ik wil zeker nog eens terug komen om de andere vegan gerechten te proberen!!!
