China Garden APELDOORN in Zuidoost

Just got a monthly menu. The satay sticks came with satay sauce, which was awful. It really wasn't good; it tasted spoiled and smelled sour. The rest of the food was excellent and tasted delicious. I would definitely have given it 5 stars if the satay had been good, though. You can really get sick from it, which is disappointing.

The food is of good quality, and you'll receive a friendly welcome from the staff. If you reserve a takeout order, it's always ready at the agreed-upon time. There are ample parking spaces next to the front door. You can also dine in the restaurant itself.

The food here is truly amazing! I started with satay, which was very tender and nicely heated. Then I had a combo dish of babi pangang and tjap tjoi—everything equally fresh and delicious. Babi pangang was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—just the way it should be 😀 And generous portions, with a warm towel afterward—absolutely fantastic 👍🏻

My wife and I had dinner at China Garden again last night. We were warmly welcomed by a very polite and friendly (and pretty) young lady, and neatly led to our table, where the menus were already ready. Everything was well taken care of, the food was of excellent quality, and: we were only asked once if everything was to our liking, and not 5 or 6 times like at others. That is very annoying. The entire ambiance in the restaurant is of course typically Chinese, but certainly not excessive. My father was a waiter, so I know a thing or two about service and catering, and I can only say that everything, especially the service, was taken care of down to the last detail. To people who have comments about China Garden, I can only say: "Good luck finding a better Chinese restaurant." Marjolein and Cor van Deemter

What a taste. Ordered Nasie Tjap Tjoy with chicken fillet. I think that China Garden distinguishes itself with the taste that the nasie has compared to the others. You keep eating it. Vegetables are fresh and crispy with lots of chicken. Portions are large.

What exceptionally friendly people. The friendliness of this staff is unparalleled. Many restaurants could take an example from this. Also very friendly to our children. The food was great. Got a good recommendation for the shrimps in seasonal vegetables and a delicious tipan. Very tasty food. A must if you are in Apeldoorn

We often get take-out from this restaurant and that is always good. Now also eating inside. The service is really great. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! We were with our 1 year old son and the service was very nice about it!

We got there at 7pm. Nice and warm. There was another couple who left and the heating went off. Indicated that I was cold, but unfortunately the heating no longer came on. Goosebumps. Soup was lukewarm. Tipang dish had no taste. This was indicated and passed on to the cook. He would take it into account next time. I fled the cold and tasteless food. No apology or anything at the checkout. We simply had to pay the full price. Never again to this restaurant

Picked up a double Chinese rice table. A bizarre amount of food that was very tasty. In addition, we didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes and it was affordable. Compliments!

We were there on a Monday evening. There was only one other customer in the restaurant and we got our (tasty) food very quickly. The staff was more than nice, the restaurant may look a little dull on the inside, but that doesn't bother us at all. A very nice experience!

Good food at a good price. Too bad it never has the ambiance of the Chinese of the past. Not just here, but a national problem. I will keep coming here, good food and perfect and, above all, friendly and knowledgeable service.

We regularly get food here and it is often good. Lately I have noticed that things have deteriorated somewhat. Yesterday I got a monthly menu for four people plus a chicken soup, tomato soup and fried bananas. The quantity was good, generous and more than sufficient. But the quality was really disappointing this time. It was not warm at all (I live 5 minutes away by car) and the taste was bland. Normally we eat almost everything and freeze leftovers. Now we left a lot uneaten and thrown away. I'm quite bummed about it because it's quite pricey. I'm still thinking about whether I'll come back.

The food was always good but lately the quality has declined, portions have gotten smaller while the price has gone up exorbitantly. They are also no longer so generous with sauces, for example 12 mini spring rolls have to make do with a small cup of sauce (see photo).

Just had extra special noodles and a portion of mini spring rolls. Unfortunately, the crash was very hard! And mini spring rolls with a completely different sauce. Not to eat! And in 1.5 years, a ridiculous price increase for many products....

The food is tasty. The restaurant is somewhat hidden and the garden could use some maintenance. The appearance is also important.

Just bad. Recently received bad food for the second time. Mealy, sticky noodles with few vegetables and meat in it. Dry and tough chicken satay, prawn crackers were not fresh. The fried egg and slice of ham were cold. Called, the owner wanted to have it redone. Yes, what does he think if I have had bad food there for the second time? So I refused. The owner didn't want to give me a refund, so I'll never get food there again. What a customer-unfriendly, filthy place that has become, yuck!

This is the best restaurants of Chinese cuisine we have ever visited here in NL. Quick service, veeery delicious food, and very cosy atmosphere. Love to come from time to time here.

I have been coming to China Garden for years to order food, always ok. Ordered 6 menus on Christmas Day. 1 menu often includes 1 small piece of prawn crackers, oh well, no problem. Very good restaurant... the Peking Duck was very soft and tasty, with vegetables and rice ...the Foe Yong Hai met kipfilet and Bami was really good ! For 44,80 euros with two beers was a very good deal ! We were there twice during our long weekend on Apeldoorn..

It used to be a good Chinese. But the noodles were now mealy and sour. Sate ajam was simply cooked. And the babi pangang sauce is unrecognizable in appearance and taste. Nasty aftertaste predominates. Spring rolls were tasteless. How disappointing it was. We threw most of it away. Never again.

I think there is a new chef, I recently got babi ketjap and it was very disappointing! Now just babi pangang...very dry meat and almost no sauce. We won't be back, too bad.

Regular customer of this Chinese restaurant for more than 40 years. Also very stable quality in the field of dishes for more than 40 years. You can notice that either the same chef has been there for so many years or the recipes are passed on very well. During Christmas we were forced to cancel our order due to a fire at the Chinese's neighbors, which meant that their kitchen could not be used. Unfortunately for us, the quality of the Chinese on Deventerstraat was far below standard (cold food, missing dishes, 60% paprika used as vegetables). We were therefore very happy that China Garden could open its doors again after 2 weeks.

Delicious spring roll, crispy, not greasy, full of deliciously crispy bean sprouts and richly filled with chicken.

Our favorite Chinese for years! Delicious food at an affordable price.

We have almost always had a good meal in the many years that we have been getting food there. 25 years ! It is a great progress that little VETSIN is used anymore. That means I can now eat it too! Yesterday we ordered roasted Peking duck for the first time. the duck was well roasted...but there was no flavor. a disappointment. it's not cheap...so you expect something special. it only came with a tiny tub of sweet sauce. other than that, just a few slices of pickle. The other day I made my own orange/ginger sauce. it was better then. If I were China garden I would really sell this dish differently. I hope China garden does something with this information.

Years ago it was a good Chinese, but it is getting worse now. The nasi and noodles are increasingly poorly filled and have less and less taste. Because it is nice and close, we would like to order the menu for 2. But last weekend both the nasi and the noodles were bad, a mealy substance. This was the final straw, we won't get any more here.

What a bad restaurant! To Ordered food for 2 people at 3:45 PM Before 6 p.m. We didn't get our food until 6:45 pm!!! Ordered Chinese noodles and what we get: noodles! In the tenderloin dish you had to look for the pieces of tenderloin. All vegetables. You don't pay for that.

If you want to go with a large group, like we did with De Woudlopers 30 people, you can make excellent arrangements with the owner about a package, in which individual wishes are also taken into account. This year we are going for the 5th year in a row and it has become a tradition.

Normally we always go to the Chinese restaurant at Eglantier, but due to renovations we went to China Garden. We are used to quite a bit, but the food was really a drama yesterday (Saturday 13-06-2020). The tomato soup was a thin, bland mess, this also applies to the peanut sauce, which was really diluted. We had noodles with Babi Pangang but there was no taste at all. Last night I had stomach cramps and diarrhea. In short, a truly dramatic meal. So now I'm on the bench with a stomach flu. If you order your food, you can't pick it up in an hour, okay, we'll do that! And then you get there and you have to wait another 45 minutes!!

It doesn't matter which Chinese takeaway I get, they are all delicious. Here you have a nicer or more cozy waiting room.

Never eaten in the restaurant before, so I can't say anything about that. Takeaway is delicious. Monthly menu is highly recommended. Meat is fresh and it all tastes good.
