China Palace in Wijk 01 Rheden

Was tasty... allowed to stay...

What China Palace is, that's delicious! I had a wonderful meal at the China Palace buffet this evening. The restaurant is atmospheric and exudes warmth and coziness. The buffet is excellent. Everything was kept neatly stocked, and all the dishes had the right balanced flavor. You can taste the flavor, but nothing overpowers the dish, so the flavors complement each other. The chicken ketjap was a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Classy! The staff is professional, friendly, and attentive to the customer. The waiter was truly amazing. An enrichment for Rheden

We paid 80 euros for two people, the food was bland, and they charged an extra 4 euros for a little extra sauce – outrageous! The staff was very inflexible and couldn't accommodate our requests. Choosing something else was difficult too, as the waiter had no suggestions (due to allergies). Very disappointing.

Good service, excellent service, the self-service buffet is well replenished, etc., in short, excellent!

I have never eaten such delicious Chinese food. Absolutely top-notch!! Getting from there again next time!!!!

Best Chinese food and Great service

This is one of our favorite restaurant .

Got takeout for the first time yesterday. Delicious food, great service, and friendly people!

good service, super fast and beautiful surroundings

Great people! I was going to run a half marathon and hadn't eaten enough beforehand. I popped into China Palace to ask if they had anything to eat quickly and was immediately given a banana and water. Very nice people. I'll definitely eat here again if I can.

We've been coming here for New Year's Day for over 20 years. Always delicious food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. It wouldn't be New Year's without China Palace. And thankfully, we can still have it next year!

Delicious food, great flavors and service

Friendly staff and delicious food.

We love coming here. The food is good and the location is great.

To relive some nostalgia, we went to the Chinese buffet. The atmosphere is authentic, complete with lamps, authentic music, and fish. A bit faded, though. Dirty isn't the right word, but grimy is probably more appropriate. The food is good, standard Chinese food. Nothing special, but perfectly edible. The buffet is relatively small and refilled on time. We were truly amazed at how busy the Chinese restaurant was during the buffet! We were also surprised by the price, but that's probably inflation. 90 euros for three people and a few drinks! The location has been slated for conversion to a McDonald's for a while now. Let's hope that in 10 years, there's another opportunity to relive those nostalgia moments. A McDonald's at this location... Just don't do it.

One of our favorite Chinese restaurants for decades. Fresh, fast, delicious, friendly, and affordable. Unfortunately, they'll be closing in the near future, which we all deeply regret. Is there still a good Chinese restaurant left in Arnhem and the surrounding area?

I haven't lived here long, so I wasn't familiar with this Chinese restaurant. I didn't have time to cook, so I got a portion of Cha Sieuw. I can be brief: I've never had such bad food anywhere. It was dry and tough, as if it had been reheated for three days, and completely tasteless, lacking any hint of the flavor this dish should have. I can't understand how this restaurant got its high rating. Perhaps it's because of people who aren't used to it, or don't know how delicious it can be.

Another authentic, old-fashioned Chinese restaurant. The Peking duck and tenderloin were delicious. Friendly and efficient service.

Great food. Went there on a Sunday, so it was a buffet.

We had a delicious meal from the buffet. The service was good and friendly.

Traditional Chinese restaurant, super friendly and attentive staff, and very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I discovered this wonderful, no-nonsense Chinese restaurant far too late. Super friendly staff, excellent food, served quickly, and usually (a shame for them, but so nice for us) wonderfully quiet. Such a shame they're closing...

I had not been here for a while and the place really deteriorated. Prices skyrocketed and quality rook a nose dive. Not much positive I can say about this restaurant. The only customers that are left are a few elderly Dutch citizens that grew up with a mixture of Chinese Indonesian take away. Restaurants like this have no place in modern society anymore.

Tasty food for an affordable price

From the outside a rather run-down place. The buffet is not bad but why are there also frikandellen in between? This place is currently mainly popular because Mac Donald wants to open a restaurant here. That does not fit in this environment. But whether this standard Chinese fits here is also the question. More something for the open-air museum. But they already have one there😀

Got sick with campylobacter bacteria. My parents ate the same thing, except for the black bean sauce. There must have been something wrong with it.

Delicious food and nice staff. We were on Monday and it was nice and quiet.

Best Chinese in the area. Cozy restaurant. Pleasant service Enjoyed a very good buffet tonight..

Delicious food, attentive staff and reasonably priced.

Here too we had a delicious meal, everything in buffer form, all in good order.

Delicious food, friendly service!

Today noodles spec. and picked up a spring roll. The spring roll was tasteless and egg could hardly be found. Bami spec. really bad piece of chicken, and the satay was tough with 2 teaspoons of sous. Unfortunately, the noodles were also tough, dry and tasteless. 1 bright spot, the 2 pieces of prawn crackers were good. Unfortunately it wasn't good.

Atmosphere 3 due to the fact that I have never eaten inside. Food is great and delivery is always super fast. This is soooo much better than let's say a McDonalds. Hope to enjoy the food here for a long time to come.

Best (take-away) Chinese from the municipality of Rheden! Food always fresh, whether you take away or eat in the restaurant. Lots of choice from the menu, something for everyone. Running buffet also nothing to complain about. The restaurant has fast, friendly service that always makes you laugh and all for a reasonable price.

Delicious food and delivered on time

Nice restaurant with small buffet. Nicely dated.

Good food and very friendly people

Chinese buffet was excellent and delicious.

Been coming here for years, delicious and extensive buffet on the weekend. Food is averagely good and some choices are really tasty; chicken in black bean sauce, noodles Singapore and spring rolls. If you take away, the portions are so large that you can easily eat them again. The restaurant is clean and has a real Chinese restaurant atmosphere. They will be open for another year and then they will close. Apparently because the owner of the property has other ideas. Should come in a McDonald. The entire region (Posbank) is in turmoil and the protests have helped because the municipality does not like a drive through! Who would? 😂 But you can enjoy this nice restaurant for another year.

This restaurant is going away. That's a shame because it has been around for a long time. Not very attractive, but you can safely eat or pick up your traditional Chinese meal here.

One of the better Chinese restaurants in the Gelderland region!

Food not very exciting, but just okay. Realm? Beautiful setting for a Baantjer episode. Nice staff indeed.

Placing a McDonald's on this spot instead of this restaurant on the edge of a beautiful nature reserve.... I hope that the municipality of Rheden will use its common sense to stop this plan.

Quite expensive for what you get, not really an extensive buffet

Leuk restaurant, goed buffet, gezellige efeer

Vriendelijke service, restaurant is schoon, wacht ruimte is fijn.

Ruime parkeerplaats. Gemakkelijk te bereiken. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Excellency service, one can choose either from the menu or open buffet. The buffet is regularly topped up with freshly cooked food. The buffet consists of starters such as soups, main course and there is also plenty of choices for the desserts. The restaurant is very spacious and can accommodate big as small group of people. This place is highly recommended.

Goede afhaal Chinees. Eten smaakt altijd lekker

Heerlijk eten vriendelijk personeel

Vriendelijke medewerkers, gezellige sfeer.

Afhaal gehaald, bijzonder lekker. Fijn ontvangen.

Buffet was heerlijk. We komen hier graag.

Aanrader!

Snelle service, heerlijk eten.

Goede kok. Diversiteit. Vriendelijke bediening . Een echte aanrader.

Our meals were very good, the portions were large. The dim sum duck was yummy. We ordered a la carte, but there was a buffet that appeared to be a great value.

Goede prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Fijne ontvangst, erg prettig bediend.
