Everything is delicious and authentic. If you like spicy food, it's highly recommended. Favorite dish: stewed eggplant.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service is impeccable, with a fairly wide selection. The dishes are refined and offer an exceptional culinary journey. However, be careful with the spices ☺️ Overall, a very good discovery, though the drinks are a bit expensive (€8 for a bottle of water).

A very nice place with friendly service and quite good food. I expected it to be spicy, as it's Sichuan, but it was medium spicy. The portions were quite generous, although the soup, for 8 euros, could have been larger and spicier. Despite all this, the place is worth recommending.

Every dish tasted unique unlike the 'europeanized' Asian food that most places serve.

Excellent food, a variety of Chinese Sichuan and Tibettan dishes, all well prepared. Many of the dishes are spicy. The set menus provide good value. Good variety of vegetarian dishes, and a vegetarian menu where you can choose of any of the vegetarian dishes. Among my favourites are omelette soup, veggie hotpot (🌶️🔥), palace green beans, and kung pao eggplant. Careful, they don’t do take-out when it is busy, call in advance

We first noticed the beautiful Tibetan Thangka decoration while strolling in the evening, and decided to come back the next afternoon after finding the place on Google Maps. We had such a lovely lunch here ❤️! The service was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you love Asian food and enjoy a good spicy kick 🌶️, this is definitely a must-visit. We had dinner in this restaurant. The food ordered is full of flavours and so authentic from its origin, not to mention the lovely service we got.

There are three Sichuan restaurants nearby. I chose one of them and ordered pepper chicken, fish-flavored eggplant, and pepper chicken. The taste was very authentic. The service attitude of the male waiter was indeed a bit unfriendly. I may not come back again.

Mapu tofu priced around 22 euros is a joke and a half.. Its extreme prices for Amsterdam I understand, but its small portions as well. Ordered three dishes, majority of them were peppers and onions, 30% of the dish was actuall edible foods.

Honestly horrible experience. The dishes were all very overpriced. Average 20€ to 30€ for a dish and half of the dish is dried chili, chili and onions etc. the sour spicy beef soup tastes very weird and chemical. I hope we won't have food intoxication after this. The 2 servings of rice is more like 1. The biggest joke is the service : they just drop the dishes on your desk and walk away without saying anything, when I asked for tap water the waitress actually replied that they didn't have any. 🤣 It's not authentic at all, please don't have high expectations of it. Total tourist trap.

Very ruud and bad chinese man ever at amsterdam. Scammer chinese restaurant, in menu tab heineken beer but he will give you in tin which normally below 2 euro in supermarket. Even juice in small bottle will charging you very expensive. I try asking why not in tab beer? He not happy and agressive to force you to drink and pay. Dutch authority should keep in eyes to this restaurant and making more checking...

We were given 3 novels they called ‘menus’ for a table of eight, all of which were very difficult to navigate. The pictures of the food is probably bigger than the real portion you actually get. The service was poor. It took a long time for the waiter to come to our table to ask us what we wanted to eat, and didn’t seem bothered when we called one of them over. The food was wayyy too expensive for what it was. I could have went to a chinese takeaway and gotten it for half the price, but regardless the food wasn’t even that great, lacked flavour. 9.5€ for 6 tiny spring rolls…? The food came and it was nothing like the picture, we thought we had gotten the wrong order. We were seated at a table with a bright white light shining into our faces, it strained my eyes and totally ruined the atmosphere of the place.

Fourth time at this wonderful little restaurant. Lovely decor, lots of Asian guests, and honest advice about the dishes. I feel like I'm back in China; what wonderfully intense flavors. The lamb is wonderfully tender and deliciously seasoned. I'll definitely be back. Tip: ask for more information about the dishes on the menu!

THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER Allergy information is a joke - at least for the staff in this restaurant. In theory, the menu contains information about allergens, but it turns out that this information is incorrect - and according to the staff, it is the customer's fault if they trust it. I have a severe allergy to gluten and dairy products, so I was pleased to see allergen information on the menu. Unfortunately, after eating one of the dishes, I started to feel unwell and asked the staff if the dish was definitely wheat-free. It turned out that the dish contained large amounts of wheat and the information on the menu was false - and the staff knew this very well. The staff asked me if I had an allergy, which I've confirmed - but they weren’t bothered by my answer. And according to the waitress, it was my own fault because I assumed that what was on the menu was correct. The whole situation is absurd, and the attitude towards the customer is shocking and unacceptable. Especially since this is directly misleading to the customer. Allergies are a serious matter. Someone could end up in hospital - but clearly it's not a serious matter for the staff at this restaurant, since they are blatantly lying about it on the menu and just don't care at all. As a result, I paid for the dish, after which I got a fever, felt terrible the next day, and still - two days later - have not recovered. I have eaten at many restaurants around the world and have never before experienced such a dismissive attitude. I will never go back there again.

The food was genuinely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The prices on the menu seemed reasonable, and overall we enjoyed the taste and atmosphere. However, I had a disappointing experience when it came to the bill. I ordered the “menu for two” listed at around €35. When the bill came, I was charged €82. I asked the waiter why, and he replied quite bluntly: “No, you pay x2 because two people were eating.” When I pointed out that the menu clearly said “for two – €35”, he simply said: “Yes, but you ate as two people.” And when I said, “I thought €35 was already for both,” his response was: “No, that’s not possible.” Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but it felt like important information was intentionally not mentioned upfront. If the listed price isn’t actually for two people, it should be made very clear when ordering. Instead of paying around €37, I ended up with a bill for €82

It was a heaven for spicy food lovers. I’ve tried maoxuewang, xiaolongbao, cold vermicelli, mouth-watering chicken, the portions were generous. Very satisfying dinner😋

Most recommended Tibetan and Chinese restaurants in the heart of Amsterdam, foods are very delicious and traditional, it’s located just few blocks away from the very famous museum (Wax Museum) Madame Tussauds in the Centraal Station of Amsterdam! Very disappointing dining experience. The food tasted very average and not worth the price. The menu clearly stated that there was an aperitif, but the waiter said there was no aperitif, which felt like a perfunctory experience. I wanted to take away the food I couldn't finish, but they only gave us two lunch boxes and told us to "figure out the rest ourselves". The overall service attitude was also very unprofessional. I don't recommend this place at all. I won't come again.

The food there was really, really good! I had the Mandarin duck – which was breaded and served with a sweet sauce – but it stayed crispy for a long time! I actually wanted to order it spicier, but the waiter advised me against it, as it would have ruined the authenticity of the dish and the sweetness that the dish stands for. I think it's very good! So I ate it "normally." Very, very tasty! Definitely recommended! However, the prices are too high.

Surprisingly, this Chinese restaurant is very authentic in old town Amsterdam. The decoration is very Chinese as well. The spiciness and ingredients are very tasty and good. Overall, we had a good experience.

The Asian-faced male waiter downstairs in this branch looks as if he owes him money and has a very bad attitude. The boss should replace him as soon as possible. Keeping him will definitely affect the business of this store. I walked more than 100 meters to another branch. The waiters were much better and the food was absolutely outstanding.

All time favourite restaurant near the redlight district of Amsterdam. Tried varieties of fried rice and chicken dishes here. The taste is so good and one of the authentic Sichuan food served here. Must try place if you are in Amsterdam. The price is a bit expensive but worth trying. Recommended.

Ate here on the recommendation of a friend, who ate here at least 50 times, it was okay, for the price a larger portion could be used and it is nice to indicate that the photos and certain dishes are very different from what you get, I ate here yesterday for my birthday, I give it a 6

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time! 😡Everything looks really rancid, but we were really hungry. There were dead flies on the lamp and the map looked very yellowed. The food was inedible! The staff was friendly but couldn't make up for the poor food. We didn't even begin to finish any of the dishes and left early, disappointed.

This is one of those places that attract tourists. Be careful with this site, they are not honest, they scam tourists when they see that their level of English is not good and they cannot defend themselves. If you have basic English, don't go, they will trick you and act crazy.

Quick and friendly service, delicious food for a fair price

We have been in Amsterdam for 1 week, we have been to many restaurants in the area and they were great... Argentinian, Italian, Indian... today it was Asian... this one seemed good, it had a good atmosphere, good decoration... but the truth is that we have felt very cheated. We had great dishes on the tables next to us and we saw the menu and the reasonable price. But since our English is bad. We have decided to order a menu for 2 people, so as not to complicate our lives. A menu deceives giris, who cannot complain. On the menu it appeared at €35. Which consisted of 2 soups, a plate with 4 mini spring rolls, a bowl of cooked rice, and 4 mini plates but mini... tapa size, (to share) 1 of boiled vegetables, 1 of Peking style chicken, another of beef with vegetables and another duck (5 pieces of duck). Too bad I don't have photos, I didn't imagine such a robbery. The menu supposedly had dessert, coffee or ice cream, but they didn't bring it, they sent us downstairs to pay. We have ordered 2 pints of Heineken, they give you 2 cans. The painful €82. We got our eyes like owls... we told them it couldn't be... and they told us that the menu was 35 per person. I think they have deceived us, well I say so, because the amount of food they have served us cannot have that price. I just wish you luck and karma.

On Thursday we had a team outing and after a day of exploring Amsterdam we had dinner at Sichuan Restaurant Lange Niezel. We were a group of 17 people and the restaurant really took amazing care of us. The food was delicious and the staff was really nice. Everyone enjoyed it! Definitely recommend this place. I will be back.

Bad food. Bad service. Turning away customers at 22.10 despite being advertised as open till 23.00. Relented and agreed to serve, but told, “You’ll have to be quick.” Hot and sour soup was neither; bland with random vegetables and unlike any others. Sizzling pork lacked flavour and was swimming in oil with overcooked veg; completely missing the point of a tepan dish. Starter and main arrived simultaneously and was pushed to pay midway through eating so they could close the tills and get sorted at 10.40, still 20 mins before “close”. Unrepentant when challenged because I didn’t understand that when you run a restaurant it was important to make sure the staff got finished early and unmoved by suggestion that they might want to work on the customer experience. Truly awful.

The waiters are very very rude. The waiter reluctantly answers the questions we ask with food in his mouth. When I ask about vegetarian food, they respond with an eye roll. Very bad service!

The dumplings were smallest we’ve ever seen. Mapo tofu was super salty. The Sichuan restaurant on Zeedijk is 10 times better than this.

I ordered chicken soup but what came out was soup-like. I don’t quite understand why there are colored peppers, carrots, corn, and cowpeas in it. Is it just because the color looks good? The base of the red oil dumplings is too sweet, and the husband and wife's lung slices are seasoned to emphasize numbness. Overall, they are edible but not recommended.

The restaurant looked good, we have been 4 persons, ordered 4 different meals (each meal about 20€), food came within 10 minutes and looked good but we have been really disappointed - we are not picky usually but all meals tasted kind of the same, very very fatty and oily, my noodle soup was almost only oil and way too salty to eat. We tried the meals from each other and after we had enough we asked to pay and to get a discount because it really was not good, the waiter discussed with us that they eat it like this in china and claimed nobody in china eats the soup or the sauce of the dishes and because we ate most of it (we tried every meal from each other to compare) that’s unfair that we don’t want to pay the full price and they will call the police if we don’t pay - in the end we got a small discount but the food and the discussing that wasn’t worth it in the end. I love Chinese food but that was the worst I have ever tried. Don’t know where all the good reviews come from, maybe they have a new chef or something but none of us would recommend to go there except you like food soaking in oil and fat.

I cannot believe they had the audacity to lie about what we ordered. You can be the judge between what we ordered vs what they served to us. Foods were cold and definitely can be improved in taste and portion size. Definitely wouldn’t recommend any of my friends and family to go there! In the picture, there are no peanuts and the dish they served to us are full of peanuts. Also the color of the meats are different. They refused us to return the dish and lying that it looked exactly like the picture. Even a 5 year old can tell the difference. What a scam and poor customer service.

Food was really good, but service was HORRIBLE thanks to this one waitress who acted like she was doing us a favor by serving us. She was unnecessarily rude, and her attitude ruined our whole experience. We entered at 10 pm and she said they would shut at 11 pm so it was almost time for last order. We were fine with that as we just wanted a quick dinner so we sat, but then she proceeded to rush us into ordering, MOCKED us for wanting to order dumplings (apparently it takes a while to make which is very understandable but that could have been told nicely) and acted like she was paying US to eat there. When the food arrived it tasted quite good so that made up for a bit but if you are about to close and cannot take any more customers just say so?? It’s not that hard, we would’ve just gone someplace else. Such a shame because this restaurant would’ve been a definite revisit otherwise.
