Chinees Indisch & Japans Restaurant Bonsai in Wijk 51 Wormerveer

It was our first time, but definitely not our last. We had a delicious meal and would definitely recommend it again. Convenient, all-you-can-eat and drink service for a fixed price. The service is very friendly, and the food is delicious. Ordered again today, for the first time at home. The delivery driver politely called when he was on his way. Super helpful!

I ordered a menu, but because it was delivered two hours late, I'd largely lost my appetite. I contacted them a few times, but nothing was happening. Compensation with some extra cassava was disappointing.

The quality was once good. Enjoyed ordering there and sometimes eating there too. However, the last four times I ordered dehydrated satay and babi pangang from the monthly menu. In addition, the last two times, what was ordered has not been delivered and people have all kinds of "excuses" to justify things instead of ensuring correct handling.

Ordered sushi from Bonsai, as it's always been good in the past. Waited over an hour and a half. The phone number was constantly busy (on purpose?). The food, unfortunately, wasn't anything to write home about either. The edamame beans were a bit mealy and, judging by the color, had been reheated several times. The gyoza was cold. The sushi had a lot of frills (sauce, etc.), but was limp and not very flavorful. I paid extra for ginger, which came in two mini containers (which other restaurants include). The same goes for the wasabi. All in all, due to the wait and the quality, it wasn't the sushi evening I was hoping for. I think that was the last time I had it at Bonsai.

Poor quality eel sushi. It looked like it only had eel skin on it. No ginger, soy sauce, or horseradish was included. After contacting them, the operator claimed he added it himself. Sorry, but I get an error message. Fed up with Bonsai's quality and service.

Normally always tasty and on time. Now it took 1.5 hours for the food to arrive, it was lukewarm. The delivery lady didn't find it all that interesting, she couldn't apologize. Can't be reached by phone, constantly busy. Very unfortunate. Was the last time for bonsai

This is really the worst experience I have ever had! And that goes for the food and the service!!!! I ordered 9-6 at this “business” and this is what I got. The sushi was fried in dough that I have never seen before. It did not look good and was inedible. Not at all what I saw in the picture. There was also a sauce on it that was not described. I called the business and got a very unfriendly man on the line who did not speak the language well, he said that this is just how they make it and kept insisting. I said that I did not get what I expected, the man said that he would investigate this and call me back as soon as possible. 15 minutes later I called back myself and when he heard which order it was about, he hung up. After that I tried to call several more times, but the man had disconnected the line!!! The business was simply no longer reachable by phone. I think this says enough about the busyness of this business! If you had received many orders you would not have been able to disconnect the phone line. These people are super antisocial, do NOT order here!!! They are scammers!!! I couldn't eat the sushi it was so bad and I had to throw it away!!

I ordered food, but unfortunately it was not tasty at all. Moreover, I had to wait 1.5 hours for it, while it was indicated to be 20-45 minutes.

Meanwhile waiting 2 hours for my order. Calling is useless because the phone is next to what they do on purpose. Last time I order here.

Despite waiting almost 2.5 hours and being quite hungry, most of it was thrown away, which is a shame. And no, that has little to do with the fact that it is a party/Sunday and very busy. It just didn't taste good.

It used to be always good, now recently twice a sushi box of 50 pieces and it's just not tasty anymore, tough seaweed, no variety, small rectangular box instead of a large round one, one piece of sashimi... Price quality very low. Seems to have gone downhill since new ownership.

If you are not hungry, I would definitely order here, because it takes 2 hours before you get your food. If it takes too long, you can always call, which also takes about 2 hours before you get someone on the phone.

I ordered at 5:05 PM for delivery at 6:20 PM. It's now 8:06 PM and it still hasn't arrived. The restaurant is unreachable, constantly displaying a busy signal. I ordered for 40 euros. I feel completely ripped off.

Sushi: everything tastes the same. Nasi chicken bali sauce: tasteless. Did the chef forget herbs/salt? Sambal was unfortunately not included either. Too bad for those 40 euros (!). Not to be repeated. Delivered within 30 minutes.

We have been ordering here regularly for the past few years. Often the same. Always been good...until tonight. The Chicken Teriyaki rolls are normally very large and well filled, now they were 3x as small for 15 euros. And the crispy rolls suddenly had cucumber, but this is not in the description. Called to explain that this was not correct, the gentleman on the phone could not really follow me and so I asked for a manager. It turned out that I already had him on the line. He did not agree with me and refused to speak to me any further. I then drove there and handed in my order there. I will hopefully get my money back via Thuisbezorgd. Never again...

30-12-2024 order placed delivery was fast food was ok at first... until we came across pieces of tendon, and afterwards we found the satay very dry... On New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, the woman and I both ate the same thing, it was both my turn. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from Bonsai again next time

Finally ate in the restaurant again. Was great again!! Delicious dishes, nice service. Hope you will be busy again. We will definitely come back!!

Thought tonight was a nice meal, 2x cold food, satay tough as hell, you get 1 drink off the bill, what a cold, boring, meatless place, never said that again.

Hi food super bad, 2 years ago was great, but now so bad, food cold, there is little in it. Would not order here again.

We order from you regularly and are usually very satisfied with the quality and punctuality of the delivery. The sushi is always tasty and of good quality. However, with our last order on Nov 23rd. we were less satisfied. We requested delivery at 6pm, but the order didn't arrive until 6:50pm. We understand that the weather was bad, but a delay of almost an hour is a very long time. In addition, the hot dishes were lukewarm and the bapi pangang bacon was limp. The satay was very dry and the chicken noodles were missing. We ended up having to reheat the food in the microwave. We hope you can use this feedback to improve service and quality. We are happy to continue ordering from you, but hope for a better experience next time.

Always had a good meal and ordered food. Ordered again for a while now and was very disappointed. Ordered a quarter to 5. The order arrived at a quarter to 6. This was partly incorrect and missed the soup. Called and the person on the phone (friendly by the way), first asked whether I could leave the current order closed. But fortunately it turned out that they would do the right things in subsequent delivery. Tells me this will arrive in 30 to 45 minutes (roughly estimated). Called again after 50 minutes, barely got through the line, and seemed as if they had forgotten a bit... Na ci. Only received the 2nd part of the order in 60 minutes. Food is no longer what it used to be unfortunately, cold and chewy... Update, after exactly 1 hour of the backorder there will be another "backorder" that we already had, but with half of what the first backorder was 🤣....

Worthless! This was the last time we ordered here. We waited more than 2 hours for our order and the restaurant was not reachable by phone. Food was cold upon delivery.

we always order online via thuisbezorg but yesterday we are so disappointed we are waited 2 hours for our order and we have to call to ask about our order and again they said our food will be deliver within 30 minutes they didnt even call us to inform that we have to wait that long if we really know we gonna cancel our order and make another option we have a guest supposed to eat dinner with us but they can't wait more longer..for total 2.5 hours waiting for our order this is not acceptable servicw and when the food arrived it is not warm enough and does not taste good like usual.

Specially ordered early food (16:50) because we are a family with small children. The food took more than 1.5 hours to be delivered! No phone call or message that it would take longer, so I called myself. They accidentally hung up while calling, but after calling again no apologies ozd. The delivery person left the bag of food at the door without saying boo or bah, took my 50 euro note and wanted to walk away with it, to which I said I would get change back. "Oh, how much then?" Or if I could look at the receipt myself. Wow... Then the spring rolls are missing from the menu... This is something to laugh and cry at the same time.

Normally always delivered on time, but after 40 minutes, still nothing. I called and told them I'd been waiting since 6:20 PM, and now it's after 7:00 PM. The lady said you'd ordered as soon as possible!? No, I'd said 6:20 PM. I ordered at 4:30 PM, so if it was ordered ASAP, I assume it wouldn't be delivered until 7:00 PM. It's a shame this business has gone downhill since the takeover.

The food, especially the spicy food, is quite good. But the service and communication are terrible. I recommend finding a delivery service that provides good food and service, and that you can connect with. It's a shame.

I had to order by phone because I had a gift certificate, and they don't have codes to enter. The price is different from ordering online, more expensive. The rice, sushi, and foeyonghai, kuloekai nasi, everything was incredibly dry and tasteless. I've ordered here many times in the past and never had any complaints, but apparently, they have new owners. I'll never order from them again. So bad.

Bad experience today, ordered food at 4:00 PM and asked for it to be delivered at 5:40 PM, and the delivery person arrived at 6:00 PM. Called Bonsai Wormerveer, bad Dutch speaker, lady on the line, yes, she is on her way, but this is not acceptable, more than an hour late. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT SUBJECT TO REPETITION, PEOPLE DO NOT ORDER. DELIVERY IS HASSY, POORLY ACCESSIBLE BY TELEPHONE AND SERVICE IS ZERO

Just ordered food. Delivered super quickly. The food was also at a good temperature but it all tasted the same. No flavor to any of the dishes. We had the monthly menu. But never again for us. Two stars because the service is good.

Delicious meal at Bonsai. Sushi was extremely tasty and fresh. The hot food, which can sometimes be disappointing at sushi restaurants, was also great. Waitress was sweet and fast. You can eat and drink with three people for 100 euros, the price-quality ratio is great!

We regularly eat at Bonsai and the quality is always perfect. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxed, the service is very nice and you always get good help. The owner's enthusiasm is also extremely contagious; he always comes for a chat and asks if everything is okay. The quality of the sushi is really good, the fish is always fresh, the rice has a wonderfully creamy and smooth taste, the vegetables are fresh and crunchy and A-quality products are really used. (And you can really taste it!!) Think of real Japanese mayonnaise (Kewpie) and good quality masago. There is a wide range of different sushi rolls and also hot Chinese dishes. Something for everyone! The chimi yim squid and our favorite: the dragon roll are highly recommended! We really don't understand the negative reviews below; I therefore strongly recommend having dinner at Bonsai instead of ordering. What a luxury it is to have such a fantastic sushi restaurant so close in the Zaan region! We have eaten in many sushi restaurants, but Bonsai stands head and shoulders above the rest!

Unfortunately we had to wait 2 and 1 hours for our food. Always found the delivery time to be fast... The last few times it has deteriorated... Too bad we would now rather choose something else even though we like the food....

Sushi is of exceptionally good quality! Portion of foe yong hai could be smaller in my opinion.

Unfortunately the food was cold when we got it. The aluminum foil had clearly been opened once. Also missing was the free can of coke. Too bad because your food is normally super tasty.

Ordered a bowl of 50 pieces of sushi tonight! It was really great, plenty of choice of different pieces of sushi and variety. The quality of the sushi was also really good. We will definitely order here more often!

What a drama! Waited 1 1/5 hours for delivery, cold, incomplete and of very poor quality. What a huge disappointment with our first introduction to Bonsai Fusion and ordering sushi in Wormerveer:/

We waited 2 hours for our order and finally canceled it. They were supposed to close at 9:00 PM and at 8:45 PM still nothing. It's scandalous that they don't say anything. We have also called several times and they are not answering. Normally always satisfied with Bonsai, but because of this I will never order again.

Not what we are used to from Bonsai. Ordered Sushi yesterday at 3:30 PM, requested delivery at 6:00 PM. Unfortunately it didn't arrive until 6:30 pm. Order was incorrect, wrong box delivered. No sticks, no soy, no ginger and wasabi. Called, lady on the phone was difficult to understand, in English, poor connection. She would still send the right box with chopsticks, soy and the rest. The new box was delivered around 7 p.m., but again no soy, sticks, etc., etc. The quality of the sushi wasn't great either. Unfortunately, next time another restaurant, previously it was a lot better at Bonsai.

Something went wrong with the delivery, but the delivery person was friendly. Already placed an order in the morning before 6:20 PM. At 7:00 PM no food and no update received, so I called, but there was no answer (several times). Ultimately, our food was delivered with a 45-minute delay. Then part of the order turned out to be missing, as well as the soy sauce and chopsticks. Then had to wait another 20-30 minutes. No apology or compensation from Bonsai. The kids really needed to go to bed, so we had to grab frozen pizza for them. Things were clearly out of control at Bonsai.

We waren de enige in het restaurant en hoewel ik hiervan een beetje schrok was de kwaliteit van het eten en de vriendelijkheid van het personeel tip top in orde.

Lekker eten, wel veel, maar kan je altijd bewaren voor later. Ook heel goedkoop. Goede en snelle bezorging!

2 keer besteld en 2 keer in het restaurant gegeten. Bij het afleveren was alles gehusseld en in het restaurant viel beide keren de stroom uit waardoor we moesten switchen naar ouderwetse velletjes en de keuken het eigenlijk niet meer aankom........ eten is verder wel goed.

Ik heb hier meerdere keren besteld en altijd wordt het eten erg snel geleverd. Ze hebben veel opties en het is goedbetaalbaar. Lekkere chinese gerechten en hapjes, alleen de sushi is niet mijn favoriet.

Eten was lekker, grote porties. Helaas gaat het bijna altijd mis en moet ik er achteraan bellen omdat er iets van de bestelling is vergeten. Maar wordt altijd snel nabezorgd! Soms zelfs met een fles wijn erbij :3

Heerlijke sushi, mooi opgemaakte schaal, lekkere bijgerechtjes...wij hadden een fantastisch maaltje vanavond. Met Kerst gaan we lekker in de herhaling! Ik wilde mijn bestelling voor Kerst graag aanpassen n.a.v. veranderde omstandigheden. Fijn dat er meteen zo goed werd meegedacht!

Snel en makkelijk. Heb geen sushi besteld dus daar heb ik geen mening over.

Je krijgt steeds minder voor meer geld. Ik heb een poke bowl gehaald.Voorheen was het meer gevuld.

Grote schotel sushi besteld. Al eerder gedaan en gevraagd geen hete sushi in de schotel. Maar er zaten toch weer hete sushi in. En volgens mij zaten er ook minder in. Jammer was tevreden nu twee keer nadenken of ik daar weer ga bestellen.

4 grote loempia speciaal besteld, al heel gedoe omdat die niet op de kaart staan ivm “slap” aankomen, uiteindelijk geregeld na prima service van de desbetreffende telefoniste! Bestelling zou geleverd worden na mail “bezorger onderweg” dit duurde en duurde en na gebeld te hebben om te vragen waar het bleef, te horen dat de bestelling was gevallen en dat ze nieuwe gingen maken, ik denk bel dan even om dat te vertellen ipv andersom, nu zit je ruim 20 minuten te wachten voor Jan je weet wel! Inmiddels tweede slechte ervaring na vorige keer koude nasi en bami te hebben ontvangen! Voorlopig laatste keer bonsai voor ons!

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en goede service. Alles wat wij hebben genomen was heerlijk van smaak. Zeer aan te bevelen dus. Wij komen hier zeker binnenkort weer terug.

Pokebowl was top! Maar wat nog fijner was dat mijn portemonnee gevonden was. Er bestaan nog eerlijke mensen! Bedankt!

Misschien zijn mijn standaarden te hoog omdat ik beter gewend ben van een gemiddelde "sushi-tent", alle stukken sushi plakten als lijm aan elkaar en vielen uit elkaar. De smaak was matig, maar de bezorging was top.

Het is is top. Beter dan andere Sushi restaurants. Een aanrader.

Vanavond bij Bonsai gegeten en wat een verse heerlijke gerechten. Ook erg gezellig en leuke medewerkers.

Ik had sushi en een pokebowl besteld: de sushi was super lekker, maar de zalm in de pokebowl rook alles behalve goed. Heb hem helemaal weg kunnen gooien… Bezorging was wel goed!

Wij hebben hier altijd het maandmenu. Weer heerlijk gegeten! Alles vers en goed warm. Goed verpakt en niet zo vreselijk zout als je bij andere chinese maaltijden weleens hebt.

Een aardig sushi restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel. Toen het te druk werd, duurde het langer voor het eten kwam(of helemaal niet) Dit zal wellicht door personeelgebrek komen.

De laatste 2 keer kipsate erbij besteld, heeft sinds kort een overheersend specerij en ook de sausen hebben de zelfde aardse smaak. Helaas dit keer ook een haar in het eten. Dit is niet onze smaak ,wel jammer waren heel tevreden. Is er misschien iets veranderd het laatste half jaar????????

Eten was dit keer niet lekker. Vlees was taai, en de kipsaté had ook teveel vlieguren. We hebben een groot deel van de babi pangang en saté laten staan. Erg jammer. Wat ons ook opviel dat de bakjes kleiner waren 😱 Voorlopig even geen Bonsai.

Voor de eerste x besteld. Heerlijk gegeten. En zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Een paar keer met collega's langs geweest. Vrolijke en vriendelijke bediening en lekkere gerechten. En vaak thuis laten bezorgen. Beide zijn aan te raden. Afhalen kan uiteraard ook!

Altijd lekker eten en snel bezorgd.

Chinees en sushi altijd heerlijk en een fijne prijs. Altijd op tijd bezorgd. Dikke 5 sterren
