Truly the old-fashioned 'Chinese'. Great meals, excellent service, and an atmosphere and decor straight out of the 80s. The latter could be better, but we cherish the reliable, hard workers in Nieuw Vennep.

Well, I can't judge the atmosphere, but I always get takeaway. Now there are 3 Chinese restaurants in Hoofddorp, but I don't think they are that great to be honest. Now go to the Chinese restaurant in Nieuw Vennep and there will be a real chef with fresh food, a difference like day and night compared to Hoofddorp.

For an appetizer, I had a few pieces of spare ribs, and for the main course, I got the Peking Duck. For dessert, I had ice cream with hot cherries. The meat on the Peking Duck could have been a bit more thoroughly cooked, but that's a subjective thing. To drink, I had a Hertog Jan beer, and then I tried the Chinese beer Tsingtao. It supposedly has a historical connection to Germany and a small one to the Czech Republic, but I wouldn't have guessed it. The taste was interesting, but nothing special for me.

Terrible. Ordered food on the spot twice. Both times I couldn't get the dish. Too busy was the answer. Later it turned out there was no cook ????. I am never going there again.

Had some delicious 'traditional' Chinese food. Babi pangang with rice, char chiu, and pork belly. The 'meats' were really flavorful. The only downside was the rice. It lacked a bit of flavor. A shame, but not a dealbreaker. In fact, we've already made a reservation for October when we're back in the Netherlands😃 Forgot to take a picture of my combo😌

The best Chinese restaurant in town. Always delicious food, always busy. Takeout is ideal and very busy. There's also a restaurant, which is less busy but just as delicious! Friendly staff.

Dinner for 2 and had rijsttafel of 70€. More than enough although the bami was a bit too little. Best to order a separate container. Super service, helped immediately and are quick but not pushy at the table!

Fantastic place. Very original and refined decor. The waitress spends a lot of time serving guests. Nice atmosphere and delicious food. I definitely recommend it!

If you deliberately order vegetarian takeaway for someone and there is steak in it, that is a shame. I don't know them like that.

We had a wonderful meal. The food was delicious, with ample portions, but not overwhelming. I must also say that the food was very good. The service was friendly, kind, and great with the children. The staff spoke excellent Dutch, and the children had a wonderful time watching the fish and marveling at the beautiful interior. We hope to dine here again, in addition to takeout. Highly recommended.

A very good Chinese restaurant that has been around for a long time, and despite changing chefs, still manages to produce exactly the same good product.

Ate in the restaurant for the first time today. Food is very tasty; had tipan with shrimp and tenderloin...sate babi and atjar...everything was well cooked and had a great taste...recommended if you like good food.

Delicious food, good price, nice restaurant, real Chinese

Ate restaurant Lotus last night, March 5. A pleasant entry into a real Chinese restaurant in terms of decor. Reception was relaxed and after we sat down and ordered something to drink, we received a bowl of prawn crackers and some time later an amuse-bouche from the company. A vegetarian Vietnamese spring roll in chili sauce. It was striking that quite a few tables were occupied and reserved. The Indonesian rice table we ordered consisted of 14 dishes ranging from ajam pangang, fried banana to peanuts. We found all hot dishes to be tasty and more than adequately portioned. No one can afford cold side dishes such as peanuts. A cup of delicious coffee to finish. We enjoyed this rice table at Lotus and the very pleasant service. We have found a Chinese near Hoofddorp where they will certainly see us more often.

We went there for family dinner. It was terrible.

Eten smaakloos, interieur is al 50 jaar hetzelfde. Alles plakt en is vies. Nee voor mij hoeft het niet meer. Is dat we met een groot gezelschap waren. Maar buiten dat het de prijs zeker niet waard was wel een gezellige avond gehad. Dat kwam door het gezelschap niet door de bediening.

With family living in Nieuw-Vennep, we regularly visit this restaurant with Chinese - Indian dishes, sometimes we take the ordered dishes home, sometimes we make a reservation in the restaurant. The staff are nice and helpful. Parking is free. Personally, I really like to choose a dish with "Peking" duck.

Over smaak valt niet te twisten. Mijn mening is dat ik bij hetgeen wat ik besteld heb nog nooit teleurgesteld ben, qua smaak, hoeveelheid en kwaliteit! Zowel bij eten in het restaurant als bij afhalen!

The Babi roedjak was so salty it was inedible. I asked for a glass of water because of this and was told they only serve water with wine upon request and as I had already finished my wine I would have to buy the water. When I asked if the bill could be adjusted because I could not eat the Babi roedjak, I was told I should have complained earlier….kind of hard to do if your waiter does not return until long after you finished eating.

Wij komen hier graag, altijd sfeervol, gezellig en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Het eten is ook fantastisch lekker van smaak en volop keus. Teppansiel is echt een aanrader.

The best Asian cuisine restaurant I have been to in Nieuw Vennep. I have tried a few of their dishes and they are all delicious so far. I am a big fan of their Siu Yuk and Babi Pangang with Bami. I also dined in and the servers are very friendly and often check up on you to make sure you are enjoying everything. I also received a complimentary appetizer to try both times I dined in. I also highly recommend the special offer for two on their menu! They also have very fast take-out that is usually ready between 15 to 20 min.

Tasteful food, we had the chinese diner menu. The portion size is just about enough, not massive size plates. The only downside is that our order took way longer than other people around us, but that might have been due to ordering the menu instead of a single dish. The interior is typical for Dutch Chinese restaurants, nothing special even a bit dated maybe... prices are steep nowdays but that is everywhere, 50 euro a person is average.

Lekker eten, en genoeg om nog wat mee naar huis te kunnen nemen. Prima bediening, niet gehaast maar ook niet te lang hoeven wachten.

Laatst weer heerlijk gegeten, met natuurlijk het lekkere chinese bier, De mensen daar zijn zeer vriendelijk en het eten natuurlijk zeer goed, tot de volgende keer!

50 cent betalen voor een bakje om overgebleven eten mee te nemen en ook zelf in bakjes doen. Nog nooit meegemaakt. De prijzen zijn ook aan de hoge kant.. één mevrouw van de bediening was aardig de andere mag wel wat vriendelijker,gastvrijer....

Eten en service waren uitstekend, sfeer nvt bij afhalen...alhoewel thuis de sfeer altijd uitstekend is 😉
