Chinese-Indisch Restaurant Lotus Garden in Wijk 00 Waalre

The food here is very good. I haven't lived in Waalre for 20 years, but whenever we are here, we always get Chinese food.

I've been coming here for a few years 🥳

We were the only customers. Work was being done on mirrors and lighting in the restaurant. It was very noisy. And I don't know where the flies in the restaurant came from, but it wasn't pleasant. When I asked for soy sauce, I got Maggi. The food was tasty, though.

Good service, clean toilets, good price and good parking.

The spring roll had the fat running out again, so the dough was so wet again. So not crispy. The babi pangang had fatty meat. So that's why only 1 star; unfortunately, the quality there is not consistent.

The taste was alright. You could consider this if you're looking for a Chinese restaurant. 😈

Get it and it was indeed very tasty. First time, but definitely worth repeating. The restaurant is a bit older, so it doesn't really have much atmosphere. But the food is absolutely highly recommended.

Heard good things. Unfortunately, the breaded shrimp tasted like oliebollen (stale oil with a lot of batter and very little shrimp (22 euros)). The char siu pork was also soggy. Unfortunately, I won't be going here again. Two stars because the nasi, bami, and babi pangang were tasty.

Man, what a cozy atmosphere there, the owner yelling at the cooks. Anyway, after a good 45 minutes, I had my food when I finally asked where it was... Then it arrived. Off I went, but I was really hungry by then. What a disappointment! The chicken was cold and couldn't even be eaten. So I had to quickly prepare it, and I simply forgot the order. This was so sad. Never again. It's a bygone era.

Great, regular Chinese food, just like in the old days. The decor is nothing to write home about anymore, but the food is. Very friendly staff, the food is delivered surprisingly quickly and is still piping hot. It tasted excellent and I will definitely be back in the future.

I was craving a satay the other day. I got some chicken satay. What a disappointment...I threw away all four skewers...a big, dry mess of chicken. Inedible...they were days old. Stay away.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with surprisingly deep flavors and an extensive menu. Dishes are freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Friendly service, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. A charming spot for those who love authentic Chinese cuisine.

Lotus Garden has been around for at least, or almost, 50 years. It's wonderful how it's remained just as it was; friendly people, a family business, and has been for years.

Had dinner here after a day of swimming at the Kempenvennen. 15 minute drive We arrived late with a group of 9 people, this was no problem at all. We chose the surprise menu on the waitress's advice. We expected to get the standard dishes such as foe jong hai satay etc. But nothing could be further from the truth, we got a really delicious mix of dishes from sole fillets and prawns to tenderloin. The children also had fries and a snack, 2 drinks each, and had to pay a total of 16pp. The decor of the restaurant came straight from the 1990s, the food was delicious and the service was friendly. If we are in the area we will definitely come back.

1. We waited 1 hour for our foods. Asked the waiter why other 4 tables who came later already got their food, the waiter said they already order before arrival. However, we saw them order with menu on the seat. They have serious discrimination to Chinese and Taiwanese. 2. A fly flies into our juice and we asked them to exchange with a new glass of juice. They charge me extra glass of juice.

My regular Chinese for friends club. Delicious dishes. Good quality. Furthermore, the ice cream dessert seems to have improved greatly. Service super friendly and tidy. After a Corona year, back in the restaurant and in addition to super friendly service, we had a delicious meal again. The price/quality is excellent. Keep it that way. Only been here for take away. After a telephone order, the food is packed and ready. Good flavors, large portions, spring roll was fried a little too long, but the rest was fine. They don't make a fuss if you want something a little different, such as sauce on the side.

Friendly family place with exquisite Chinese food. Most waiters speak only Dutch but as non-Dutch speaker I still managed to get myself understood but the kind lady... and the food was delish 😋

Had to wait an hour and a half at Christmas for the ordered food that had already been ordered a week in advance. There were many more people who had to wait just as long or even longer. When you asked how long it would take, you did not get an answer, even after waiting, no form of apology, a small apology or a drink during the long wait. Then the order was still incorrect, dishes were missing and some were not properly warm. Too bad it was much better in the past

Been for the first time. From the outside, the entire area looks poor. Even when you walk to the collection counter at Lotus Garden, you first encounter a huge pile of empty boxes... Am I in the right place here? The food was great. More than sufficient and entirely to Western taste. I live in Valkenswaard where there are 2 Chinese restaurants, An-Fong Kaze….way too expensive, Beijing….not up to par. In short, I will take the empty boxes for granted and drive to Aalst from now on

Had a delicious Cantonese rice table tonight. Delicious traditional Chinese snacks. It was pleasantly busy in the shop and the host and hostesses provided great service.

You can enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant or you can pick it up. Many parking spaces in front of the door. Just eat well and enjoy.

To take off. At the entrance for pick-up there are stacks of boxes, which was not really inviting, but okay. Once inside it looked the same as it did 20 years ago, we could do with some freshening up of the interior. We still have a real hatch, so it's exactly the way it always was. Ordered by phone and ready after a few minutes. Months + a large spring roll for 2 tens is neat. Food is a bit greasy, but more than enough. Spring roll is well filled but also long. Too bad that a lousy piece of prawn crackers measuring less than 10x10 cm is added. That could have been a bit more generous. In summary: a step back in time to a Chinese like in the 80s with slightly greasy food for a reasonable price

We discovered this restaurant via Google maps. From the outside it looks not very special but the food in here ist absolutely delicious! The portions are very large and the service is amazing. Definitely pay a visit when you are near and hungry, I will definitely visit again when I'm again on a Business Trip as this place really is worth a visit....so delicious 😋

Almost a regular customer. When I walked in, people at the table next to me complained that they had been waiting for their food for over an hour. My soup came after more than 45 minutes. It turns out that guests who had made a reservation were helped earlier. I think reservations are meant to 'guarantee' a place? The other visitors received their main course more than two hours after arrival. It wasn't much different for me. Collectors and guests who had made a reservation had priority. Excellent quality, but the above can certainly be improved...

Years ago I stopped coming here because the Fou Yong Hai had a less pleasant aftertaste. My partner always only wants Fou Youg Hai. Tried it again a few months ago and the aftertaste was no longer there and the other dishes were also fine. Now comes the but: but unfortunately, after a while of regularly picking up the same dish, it turns out that there is a considerable variation in quality, sometimes perfect, other times far from it. 3 examples: The spring roll, sometimes delicious with lots of meat, lots of egg and crispy, other times almost only bean sprouts and limp. It seems to depend on the cook or how full the wok was still when scooped out and that the meat and egg are not evenly distributed (stirred). Another example is the satay ajam, sometimes nice and tender chicken and good sauce, other times the chicken is completely destroyed in the sauce, it looks like pulled chicken, then the mouthfeel is not good for the satay. Last example, the babi pangang, if the sauce is served separately (the regular one) it is fine, but with a combination, the small or the Lotus Garden variant, the sauce is so overpowering that you can no longer properly taste the meat and in the end There are small pieces of meat in the sauce that you can no longer pick up unless you add too much sauce. In short: if you are lucky you will get very tasty Chinese food here, if you are unlucky you will get a lot less. That's a shame, hence 3 stars.

I was here last month and really enjoyed the place. We asked for the house special for two people. First came some appetizers (fried finger food, but I think you may order soup). Then the main dishes: plates of fish with vegetables, pork meat and chicken, beef and shrimps, noodles (you may order rice instead). It's a lot of food and it is delicious! A hot metal plate is centered on the table to keep everything warm. I enjoyed the house special because now I can go back and order my favorite dishes. At the end there was coffee and some sweets. Strongly recommend it, the price is also very good.

Zondag avond besteld, zou 45 minuten duren. Inmiddels ruim 1.5uur gewacht. Tip voor de volgende keer: bestel het weekend van te voren. Verschrikkelijk. Het eten moet van Michelin kwaliteit zijn, maar die kans acht ik klein

Have been a guest at this authentic restaurant for years. The same excellent quality food, good price and nice staff. The owners are always up for a chat. In my opinion, the various ti-pan dishes are highly recommended!

Very good Chinese restaurant. Super busy. We were there to eat last Sunday.... all tables were occupied so we recommend that you make a reservation and it was also very busy when we picked up the dishes. Maybe a little bit understaffed in terms of staff. But the food is perfect 👌

We were staying at Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven. Chose to eat out locally and decided on Eat in Chinese. Walking distance from the hotel or a bus ride. We were warmly welcomed and helped through the menu which was in Dutch. Chose the special menu for €18.50 inc starter. We cannot fault the service and food. Re visited during our stay and looking forward to going back again soon. Very good value.

I was staying in a nearby hotel and this place was one of few restaurants in the area. Ordered a take away and collected from the restaurant and I was blown away. Firstly, the portions were very generous but the flavours - Oh my days - some of the best asian food I've ever had in my life and now I'm going to try and find some similar flavour in London. I'll be be back.
