They gave a bread with Shrimp instead of potato. As a vegetarian I am not amused as I took a bite of it. Used to come there often and never had any problem, but the first time I do take away and it's wrong.

I really liked it when I arrived, the sandwich was called chicken, it was really tasty and a good price for the sandwich! Definitely come here more often

I noticed that the young lady who makes the sandwiches was wearing a latex glove. However, I also saw that the door that says private had a very dirty discoloration near the doorknob. I saw that the young lady briefly used this door and grabbed the doorknob with her glove. I told the employee that if she was going to prepare my sandwiches, I insisted that she put on a different glove. The young lady nodded but kept the glove on. Luckily another employee prepared my sandwiches. I also saw that the air conditioning grilles above the counter were completely full of dirt. The sandwiches themselves were good, but I certainly see that there is a lot of room for improvement at this company. I personally wouldn't go here again... Hygiene, Food Safety and HACCP are very important when preparing food. (By the way, I was a chef in various restaurants for 20 years)

Delicious Surinamese food, in the middle of the busy city and not expensive.

Empty place so you think you'll get something because it's quiet and looks good.... but man, what a grumpy person behind the counter. No good afternoon, no bye, nothing... you ask if they have anything and he shakes his head instead of talking... do you want some bacon, he walks away and then very softly says which one? #no chance

The food is so overpriced, small portions and not even authentically Surinamese food. I had the chicken saté and it was very dry. It also tasted nothing like a normal Surinamese chicken saté. My little cousin had the chicken curry sandwich, which was very dry as well.

Insanely good food. I would want to eat this out every night! The atmosphere is pretty getto tho so maybe dont take your gf here for a date.

Microwave and co. Everything is heated in the microwave. Unfortunately, it doesn't get any better this way! They aren't cheap either.

Had dinner with a friend. The food was delicious. Surinamese food. I had rice chicken curry fillet with long beans and cabbage. Friend had tjauw min roasted chicken with long beans and cabbage.

The food is delicious. Served warm & the meat and cucumbers harmonious. Hope to taste other flavours. Also the price is cheap.

Have enjoyed telo with bakkeljauw here before. Picked up roti with tempeh today with family (who are vegetarian): super delicious!!! And the staff is so friendly!!

Telo with bakeljauw was not tasty. The telo was served warm, but was tough and not crispy.

Staff was friendly, very sweet girls. I ordered a salt meat sandwich, it was really nasty, just tomato puree. Not all salt meat is tasty, when I cook it myself I buy it from a bucket with that one red lid or from the Hague market is also very tasty. Don't know where you bought salt meat. Surinamese cooking is not difficult, but there was so much tomato puree on my sandwich. It is better to use peeled tomatoes. Also bought bakabana, dough was greasy, banana was not ripe enough. And bought that wet, which was ok. Tasted like a ready-made bottle. I prefer to storm into the kitchen and take over from the cook =p In short, I won't come here anymore, I prefer to make my own salt meat sandwich.

We had a delicious meal while enjoying Reggae music, we were served quickly and in a friendly manner!

I wanted to experience Surinamese food while I was in Rotterdam. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at this restaurant. I searched for a restaurant in the area before and found this one has a pretty good rating so I tried.. curry that I ordered was not spicy at all even a bit. The most important part is rice that’s the reason I gave only 1 star here. If you don’t know how to cook rice, don’t sell rice. It was supeeeer hard like the one you feed chicken. Plus, I also ordered fried egg but I didn’t get it and the cashier who has long eyelashes and fake lips has a very poor service. I was waiting for the food and she said something which I didn’t catch it clearly, I thought she called me to grab my food but instead of explaining normally like a normal human, she said Whatt?! to me with that face of hers like she’s already angry at me or something. I told her I thought you called me. Lack of cooking knowledge Lack of good service Lack of nice manner here!!

Probar algo de la comida de Surinam pero no mata y es caro para lo que es. Lo mejor son los sabores que son diferentes y que están curiosos. No están mal però és un bocadillo en pan de brioche de frankfurt con carne especiada y salseada.

De bedoeling was om een lekker broodje pom te eten, maar het proefde helemaal niet naar pom, te veel tomatensaus.

Als tester van broodje dynamite en Barra bakkeljauw: 4/5 sterren. Iedere toko heeft z'n eigen recepten en dat maakt het iedere keer weer anders.

Chinny Hoogstraat is een plek met erg vriendelijk personeel, altijd aardig, leuke achtergrond muziek en natuurlijk lekker eten in hartje centrum.

Voor de eerste keer dat ik hier ben langskomen en ik vind het persoonlijk een 10/10. Heel lekker gegeten en zeer goed bediend geweest.

Lekkere broodjes voor een snelle hap

Meerdere keren hier gegeten en super tevreden. Eten is heerlijk en het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voelde mij er de eerste keer al helemaal op mijn gemak en dat was de keren daarna niet anders. Zodra we weer in de buurt zijn komen we zeker weer langs.

Really nice sandwiches! ••• I am editing my review a few years later because these guys rock, and my review wasn't giving them justice. The quality of the ingredients, the food, the atmosphere. During the summer, they have (in addition to the space inside) a nice space outside with tables and umbrellas so you can sit and enjoy your meal in the shade. I love this place and I keep coming back because I can't get enough of it!

Ondanks de drukte van de zomercarnaval was de service goed en zag alles er netjes en schoon uit. Helaas hadden de broodjes kipkerrie weinig smaak.

Jammer dat de Surinaamse broodjes tijdens Carnaval zo.duur waren Maarliefst 5€ per broodje, en me hete kip was niet eens gevuld en warm. Stonden geen prijzen bij, alleen bij de gevulde bara a 6 euro. Had ik liever die gehad. Erg jammer ...
