I've been getting food here for more than 20 years, but what I got yesterday was... not good... 2 telo cod, tasteless and cod for 3 pieces of telo. 2 shrimp sandwiches a few months ago had much more flavor and enough shrimp. Now, worthless and tasteless. Maybe new chef...

The potatoes with the Sate ku batata are old/dark brown... or double fried in old oil... unfortunately that's what it tastes like.

Ordered 3 different dishes for a total of 5 people on May 12. The chicken served with the roti was nasty and the sauce the chicken was in had no masala at all. It was a watery sauce that had no taste, supplemented with half-cooked hard potatoes. The brown beans tasted strange and appeared to be mixed with fat. The nasi with the moksi meti had a strange color and did not taste like nasi. The moksi meti was also nasty. I've had to throw away more than €100 worth of food because everyone thought the food was downright disgusting. So I'll never come here again.

Good, affordable food in a casual atmosphere with friendly service. Meat, such as duck, is minced, so be careful of bones and bone splinters and therefore of your fillings and molars.

This store used to be okay, but the roti really doesn't taste like anything anymore. Kind of knitting without flavor where they have thrown in a little potato, chicken and beans. Shame. And it's ready right away at this tent

Got the satay ajam here. Truly the nastiest satay ever. Unfortunately nothing Surinamese but the tasteless Chinese version. You know how it is, sweet satay sauce without any body and unmarinated chicken straight from the fryer with a thick crust that you can barely get through. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bah!

They have the tastiest tjau min in the area and the hot chicken and chicken liver sandwiches are also great. Especially with the green sambal

I was on emergency duty and takeaway is ideal for me, but hunger sometimes doesn't make raw beans sweet enough. I was helped by a very nice, enthusiastic young girl and for a layman the food will probably be okay, but for a Surinamese like me the food is not up to standard. So again, this is not to put you down, but see areas for improvement. I specially ordered bakka bana with peanut sauce and a tjauwmin to take away. My opinion; I like my bakka bana to be nice and brown and crispy and the banana should be super ripe, so this one wasn't. The dough also lacked something in taste (but I couldn't put my finger on it) and they use commercial 'Dutch' satay sauce and not the real peanut sauce. As for the tjauwmin; I'm used to my tja sieuw and fa chong having color. Now they were dark brown and dry. The chicken was super dry, but I condone that because I get that served almost everywhere. And last but not least, I like spicy food but I didn't get any sambal at all! No one asked if I would like sambal with it 🤭 Maybe this was a snapshot and you can do much better, so if I am in the area again, I would like to come and try it again because I love good food. And that lady behind the counter is really your trump card!

Jimmy aka Afobaka is a must for anyone who loves Surinamese food...there is nothing better...I say do it.

Roti, this is no longer roti, drive from Breda to Rotterdam for roti pfff, better make it yourself.

Youth sentiment this. This business has been around for at least 20 years. Staff were in a hurry, it was noticeable. Anyway, you will have your sandwich super quickly. I had a steak sandwich, wonderfully tender and tasty. More attention could be paid to the display case. It doesn't look inviting or fresh.

Roti ?? You get a white container with a kind of jelly in which everything floats. This dish has nothing to do with roti, it is a shame that it is sold like that. No taste, I can't identify any curry or garlic. It's a bland tasteless composition. I didn't eat it and paid 12 euros for it. I would prefer my money back, I won't be going there anymore. Inside it is also a kind of Corona fortress made of all kinds of plastic plates that are made together with a dirty hatch where you slide everything through.

Super tasty food! Wide choice of Surinamese-Indian food. Well prepared, fast and friendly service. Whole dishes but also take away, sandwiches for example. There is also a restaurant area where you can sit comfortably and comfortably.

Het eten is absoluut niets mis mee. Was er niet eerder binnen geweest. Maar te zien dat de corona schermen er nog hangen . Is voor mij met hoe de zaak er verder uitziet voor mij een afknapper. Daarom voor sfeer dus geen ster.

Makkelijk tussen de top 3 broodjes kip kerrie in Rotterdam (en ik heb er best wat gegeten). Kom hier vaker, vriendelijke eigenaar, snelle service en goeie prijs. Schrijf niet vaak reviews maar dit verdient zeker 5 sterren.

Jimmy (de eigenaar) is een lokale legende. Het is indrukwekkend hoeveel gerechten deze man op de kaart heeft staan terwijl de kwaliteit consistent hoog blijft. Afhaal is van hoog niveau en tegenwoordig kan je ook prima terecht om te eten in het restaurant. Shoutout naar deze tent, Rotterdams finest. Tot morgen.

Roti? Wat een rommel... Weet niet waar de mensen eten met deze reviews... 70% aardappel? Echt.... Man man man...

Jimmy & z'n fam zijn al jaren vriendelijk en grappig. Maar bovenal, het eten is prima. Kom er graag. Update, zn zoon doet precies als zn paps. Heel gastvrij en het eten is nog steeds prima.

Soms is het druk bij deze toko. En helaas heeft die drukte invloed op de kwaliteit van het eten. Verder een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Heerlijk gegeten met een grote groep vrienden. Bestelling was snel klaar, kwaliteit van het eten was goed en er werd zelfs aan onze groep gedacht met een portie snacks voor iedereen. Ik kom zeker terug!

Hospitable staff and excellent dishes

Beste plek voor Surinaamse broodjes en gerechten in Rotterdam. Ik kom hier al 10 jaar en m'n vader komt hier al zo'n beetje sinds het begin van Affobakka. Altijd een goede sfeer, en een fantastische prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Ik kom er minstens 1 keer per week✌🏻

Kom hier al jaren ben 10 jaar gelden verhuisd naar Flevoland en ga nog steeds special daar Rotterdam voor deze zaak de lekkerste broodjes die ik heb gegeten.
