Great for a late breakfast. They open at 11 am. Our a quick dinner. The TjapTjoi Beef is my favorite with lots of fresh vegetables.

Service 0! I got takeout today. I was still eating my sandwich and my husband wanted a few bites of the nasi he had bought. There was a woman standing behind the counter rudely shouting that it wasn't allowed. If it's not allowed, that's fine; then you walk politely over to the customer and point it out. But shouting behind a counter while there are other guests in the shop is unacceptable. And if that's not enough, talking Chinese with colleagues and laughing afterwards. I think people work there, not pigs, right?!

I think the food was spoiled. It is very strange that my child, friend, and I all got sick afterwards. And the worst part is that it has already been almost a week. Delicious Surinamese sandwiches

Food very tasty. Very pricey though; 9.50 for a small bowl of saoto. Sambal, ketjap, and pickles very tasty. Soup and bara tsa siew also very tasty. Owner and staff curt and not particularly friendly.

Ate delicious chicken curry rolls. 4.50 for a roll, but it was delicious with a sour pickle inside.

The food was tasty. Moksi meti with lots of meat. I could eat from it twice. It should be for €17. Unfortunately, no prawn crackers, egg, fried liver, or long beans on the side. Just noodles and meat. What I didn't find customer-friendly was that I had to pay 50 cents for a container to take the leftovers home. I find it difficult to put it loose in my bag. Otherwise, I would have had to throw half of it away. It’s not exactly a cozy place to sit.

I really enjoy a chicken curry sandwich with a bit of boiled egg mixed in. Paying extra for it is no problem for me. But it was supposedly not “possible”. I got a very quick and clear no. That makes no sense. Just put a boiled egg on that sandwich and charge an extra euro. Don't be so obsessive.

Good heavens, after a long hiatus from fast food and chains, I thought I'd get a kick out of some Surinamese food after work. But never before in Surinamese history had I heard that China colonized the land of these coconut choppers. Independence? The restaurant didn't have that, and certainly not the food. The whole theme of the restaurant was simply Chinese with "Suriname" written on the window! Anyway. I decided to order nothing complicated, a plate of fish. But Jesus, just like my other restaurant experiences, it gives my soul no peace. The fish was so squishy, ​​soaking in grease. It looked like they'd stuffed it into a condom and then pumped it into the deep fryer. If I could find that condom again, I'd stuff that fish back in so I could personally launch it into the faces of those slit-eyed people. Angry Birds wasn't outdated after all.

Sranang is very popular in Rotterdam. They know this, and that's why the service is terrible. Don't expect them to go the extra mile for you. They'll just dump the food in front of you, and I've even seen them yell at the staff. If I were on Binnenweg, I'd eat at another Chinese restaurant that handles customers normally.

The bara was so greasy that the oil was leaking. Ordered chicken wonton soup, got shrimp instead. Replaced the bara with a sandwich, but it's a good thing we're not allergic to shrimp. First and last time

Hello, I order often, and a total of three times they've forgotten my cutlery (fork). I often eat in the car, and it's difficult to eat without a fork. So, the fourth time I order, I add, "I want cutlery." Did you forget this the last time? I say this in a normal, soft voice so not every customer hears. We were traveling from North America and came across this restaurant in Rotterdam when we caught a whiff of the most amazing aroma from the street. We decided to step in for takeout and we’re so glad we did! The owner was incredibly kind and patient, offering helpful recommendations even though we didn’t speak the language well. The food was absolutely delicious. This was our first time trying Surinamese cuisine and it reminded us of Cantonese cuisine in some ways but had its own richer, more savory depth of flavor. The mixed meat platter with fried rice was excellent: the chicken skin was perfectly crisp and not greasy, and the fried rice was fragrant with every grain separate. The portion was generous and very reasonably priced. We also tried the curry chicken bun. It was so soft, warm, and filled with beautifully seasoned chicken, it was so good we both exclaimed out loud! Even after bringing it back to our hotel, it tasted hearty and comforting. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality, we wish we could come back some time Soon!! I picked up a container of Nazi with satay on August 26th. When I got home, I started eating and found a very long hair in my Nazi. I immediately called and told them there was a hair in my Nazi and that I didn't live in Rotterdam. Today, October 4th, I went to pick up my Nazi with satay, and they told me they didn't know anything about it and couldn't help me. I found this completely unfriendly. "Gang in der Nähe" is Sranang, Surinamese festive food. The corn soup (plus a spicy sauce) with a pastry is my favorite. But the customers mainly come here for the "chicken curry sandwich," I hear from my seat at a round wooden table. "Man, I haven't had this as good as this on my travels." The customers are all shapes and sizes. Workers quickly double-park the van. Families with a baby in a stroller—the mother needs to eat well, right? This meal calls for a cup of coffee, and for that, you pop into La Zia Maria for a cup of Italian coffee.

I don't understand the good reviews about the food! The food is just awful! The satay sauce tastes like something from a Chinese chip shop! I don't understand why it's so busy there; aren't these people used to good food? I'm never going back!

I've been coming here for over 15 years, and I still believe they serve the best sandwiches! The chicken curry is my favorite, but the shrimp and tjap tjoy are also delicious and of good quality. The staff is fast and always polite and friendly. It's not a good location for driving, but that's true for the entire back road. Fortunately, there's plenty of parking around it, especially during the day.

Yes man, Chinese-Surinamese food from Warung Srangang is really great! Especially that chicken curry roll—soft roll, well-seasoned chicken with that rich, creamy curry sauce and a bit of spice. That's just enjoyment. What is also really tasty at Srangang are their noodles and nasi with roasted chicken or moksi meti. Those flavors are always so well balanced, and the Surinamese twist makes it even better. Do you have any other favorites there?

Don't be discouraged when you arrive at the door. Just come in and order. I order a wantan soup and nasi Singapore. The lady asks: are you alone? Yes, I say. She answers: That's a lot for 1 person. I think: huh? Normally a starter and a main course? So I say: yes, go ahead. I should have done better not. A gigantic plate of fried rice, full of chicken and scampi. Half a liter of soup with 8 (!) large meat wantan balls. And tasty. I ate almost everything and am now writing this review in my hotel room with an overfull stomach. Next time in Rotterdam: same hotel, same restaurant

Tasty, fresh and not too expensive

Food is tasty, portions just smaller than average.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. There are a lot of interesting choices but I ended up going with the Moksie Metie Nasi Gerechten. This had fried rice as the base with meats of Cantonese Pork, Sweet Chinese Sausage, Fried Chicken and Fried Pork Belly. The Sausage had so much flavor, this is the one that surpised me the most. The Fried Pork Belly had really nice crispiness on the outside but soft on the inside, beautifully cooked and well done by Sranang. Overall one of the better Surinamese Chinese restaurants in Rotterdam.

We are going to enjoy the delicious food of Sranang on this Christmas day.

Sranang has several branches in Rotterdam, I only knew the branch on the Kruiskade. Always good food, in terms of taste. Neat containers and well packed. A bit of shrinkage is noticeable because regular customers indicated that the content is less than before. Simply excellent food and a place to sit, it was very busy for takeaway for a Tuesday.
