Old-fashioned football cafe. Very friendly service. Great terrace.

A real Amsterdam pub, great atmosphere, fun locals all kept in check by Heidi a most excellent bartender.

My partner and I have loved coming here for a long time, having a beer and playing a game. There is always a pleasant atmosphere. At the beginning of April I celebrated my birthday at Chris Scholten and it was a great evening. Heidi and Mary were super sweet and worked very hard, and despite the crowds I even received a snack as a gift for my guests! My friends who did not know Chris Scholten yet were positively surprised. We will visit you again soon!

A lovely evening with my family. Everything was well taken care of! It was incredibly enjoyable.

One of the best, very atmospheric places I have ever been to. Music from the 80s/90s. Very good beers. I especially recommend beer from a local Ipa brewery called Lellebel. I will definitely come back. Very nice service. In the evening the place was filled with people. I didn't eat there, so I can't judge the food, although the beer snacks were very good.

Nice brown pub with billiards, lovely terrace and friendly people behind the bar. Not expensive too!

Crazy atmosphere and great staff!

We stopped by by chance. We drank coffee and beer. The atmosphere was calm. We had a nice time. The beer was very affordable compared to other places. I can say that it is a clean and dim place.

I celebrated my birthday and Heidi and Mary really made it a party. I can recommend it to everyone, celebrating your birthday here is a great celebration. I had a blast! Many thanks! I'll be back!!

Horribly inconsiderate bar, has no mind for the neighbourhood with ridiculously loud live singers (really terrible singing I should add) and doesn’t seem to ask their customers to be a bit quieter when on the terrace. Ruins our weekends at home!!!

Nice neighborhood café, if I lived here it would be my favorite pub, not because of the drinks but because of the people who come there.

Had a great experience! At 7:30 PM on Friday evening we called to see if we could come for a drink with a group of 55. The answer was immediately yes! Upon arrival we discussed opening an account. We even received wristbands so that it was clear who belonged to the group. Heidi and Mary were great bartenders!! The whole group was more than happy with the service and the evening, thank you for that!!

Just a cozy brown café, where you can enjoy a game of billiards! Football of course on multiple (large) screens.

One of the few brown bars we have left in Mokum unfortunately.

Not too much in terms of beer choice, but in terms of service and friendliness we really got a 10! The service was really great, a lot of respect for the lovely woman behind the bar who arranged our service so well. My friends and I all think the same way. Amsterdam was really bad when we came here, but this cafe and especially the woman behind the bar was a real bright spot in our long day. Really fantastic!! Thank you very much

Last weekend I celebrated my birthday with Chris Scholten. I can't think of a better place for a fun party! The pub was nicely decorated and the staff is super friendly and hospitable. I would definitely do it again because I really enjoyed it!

Everything a Dutch party café should have. Excellent bar team, very knowledgeable and professional. A relief to see.

Afgelopen woensdag heel random een verjaardag hier gevierd. Achteraf was er geen betere plek om dat te doen! De liefste barvrouw ooit en super gastvrij:)

Ik heb hier samen met een vriendin onze verjaardag gevierd. De bediening was super gastvrij en vriendelijk en het cafe was heel mooi door hen aangekleed voor onze verjaardag. Top service en hele leuke sfeer in het cafe!! Ik raad iedereen aan hier je verjaardag te vieren.

Hier samen met een vriendin onze verjaardag gevierd, echt een grote aanrader! Het personeel is geweldig. Super gastvrij, de kroeg hing vol ballonnen en slingers, en we kregen zelfs een cadeautje. Ze maakten er echt een topavond van! Nogmaals bedankt :)

An amazing place very cozy and seems to be a local choice as everyone seems to know each other, me and my partner really enjoyed the generous hospitality of the lovely lady working behind this establishment, we enjoyed it so much that during our 4 days stay in Amsterdam this place was our evening night base A million thanks I hope to visit again this will be my first stop!

Wir haben hier kurz einen Stop eingelegt um etwas zu trinken. Alle waren freundlich und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Die Toiletten waren auch sehr sauber. 🙂

Hier een afscheids/verjaardagsfeestje gevierd. Wat een top avond! Super lieve dames, dank Heidi, Mary en Elin, die er alles aan doen om je een hele fijne avond te geven! Zeker een dikke aanrader om hier je feestje te geven!!

Ontzettend leuk en gezellig café! De mensen die hier werken zijn ook allemaal super leuk!

Voor het 2e jaar op rij m’n verjaardag bij Café Scholten gevierd! Je krijgt hier alle ingrediënten voor een fantastisch feest: leuke muziek, versiering, lekkere hapjes en hele enthousiaste dames (bedankt Heidi en Miranda) achter de bar! De beste plek in Amsterdam om een feestje te geven!!

Best biljarts place in downtown Amsterdam I visited so for. Well running 230 with ample space around it. Knowledgeable onlookers and potential opponents for a 3-cushion game. I started with and ijtje draft. Great, but 1 is enough

Sedert de vorige eeuw een gezellig etablissement annex buurtcafé met nog steeds de echte Amsterdamse inslag

Niet gegeten maar lekker op het terras gezeten met 2 hele leuke dames. Bediening goed en zeer vriendelijk. Ruim cafe met voldoende ruimte binnen.
