The food is very inconsistent, bought cheesecake multiple times. Loved it the first time, but then every other time the sizes and tastes were not good, which is frustrating as you are paying for the “same” item each time. For €5,80 you would really hope to get the same good quality slice of cheesecake.

It‘s a really nice bakery with very good food and coffee. The bagels were freshly made an with a lot of ingridients and love :) You can see the love and craftsmenship in this bakery. Chris was also very nice and welcoming! I would recommend going there and getting a pistachio babka.

One of the best sourdough bakery in Maastricht!! A must go and Chris's creations are delicious and diverse with wide range of Bread, Focaccia, Cinnamon Bun freshly baked and value for money. The bakery serves the best Bagels and Pretzels too, and for special occasions like I did the Christmas Tree is one of the unique gifts that were both beautiful and delicious!!

What kind of hospitality business rest 3 days of a week? Okay if the boss is too rich to work then they should let other people to do the work and earn money. I think customers also deserves respect and loyalty.

Bought two slices of Basque cheesecake for 11€. The cake had completely horrible consistency and fell apart when they were putting it in a box. It was also, for some reason, very salty and close to inedible. To be fair, I had tried the focaccia here before, which was fine, but I expect a batch with such obvious low quality not to be sold to paying customers, especially for this price.

The Aldi next door would be almost as good, for a fraction of the price. The focaccias were cold, and after heating dry. The staff was friendly but amateuristic, working in their hoodies...

The best bread in Maastricht and the best sourdough so far in the Netherlands. They use sourdough in everything so it's always tasty and filling without all the standard bread bloating afterwards. It is more of a takeaway place and unfortunately, they don't have decent (fresh) coffee yet. Regardless, you must try ALL their baked goods

In a time of bakeries being closed on Sundays and them turning to factory baking in vain in order to outdo the endless supply of average bread in supermarkets, Chris's micro bakery offers a glimpse of the bakery experience as it used to be, lovely service and slightly chaotic display of products (outside and inside) included. This means that the products are absolutely delicious, wanting you to buy and eat it all if you could. Getting down back to earth and its practicalities, the bakery is located in a very easy to reach part of the city, although parking "in front of the door" might be somewhat difficult. However, don't let any of that stop you from coming here, especially since this bakery still has so much potential given its ambitious setup. A cause to defend for sure!

They truly have the best (sourdough) bread in town! Their big loafs are massive and delicious and their smaller specialty bread like fig and walnut is also incredible! And i highly reccomend their foccacias and bagels as well! Service is always super friendly and helpful. I will not stop raving about this place

Best sourdough bread and bagels I've had in years!! They gave me a cookie to taste and the taste was irresistible! I started with a nibble which quickly turned to gobbling the (large) cookie down in one sitting. The staff is so friendly and clearly excited about their new endeavour. Hope they keep up the enthusiasm and quality. HIGHLY recommend.

Very good bread and bagels but these prices are crazy. Nearly 9 euro for a single loaf of bread is simply too much for me to buy on any regular basis.

Bread was tasty and for a fairly reasonable price. It's just a shame that so few understand Dutch that they don't even know the word 'sourdough'. In a bakery… So take your English dictionary with you. Staff was also nice.

The best sourdough bread I’ve eaten in Maastricht! At first, I was sceptical when I saw the price online but the loaves are massive! It was the size of my forearm plus my hand, I’m a rather small woman but still! Honestly, you can’t find a better bakery in the city. They have a great variety of options ❤️ Whether you have a sweet or savoury tooth, you’ll definitely find something for yourself. I can’t finish this review without mentioning the employees—extremely warm and friendly people. We had a lovely chat, even though I just came in to pick up my order ☺️ I can finally say: I’ve found my favourite bakery here!

The excitement I felt finding a place that makes good pretzels and bread! The staff was super kind and the pretzels tasted almost as good as they do back in Germany!

A cute little bakery with a lot of potential. The The bakery only recently opened, so I'm sure the service is still improving and the ambience will be made a little more comfortable. As a result, there were no coffee specialties to buy, but that didn't matter to us. The employees were very friendly and tried to provide quick service. Everything is prepared in front of the customers and the baked goods come fresh from the oven. The cinnamon rolls were very tasty, as was the bagel with salmon and the grilled sandwich. We can recommend the store!

What's special about Chris' bakery is that he offers goods you wouldn't find easily elsewhere. Today's haul included kannebular, babka (the chocolate one was NOM) and real focaccia. Absolutely excellent as always.

Amazing food, the bagels were so good, crispy bread, the cream cheese too. The staff was so wonderful and smiling. The only issue was the coffee that tasted like mud 😢

Absolutely delicious bagels and focaccias! A lot of vegan options , my favourite is zaatar focaccia, you can't miss it!!! I have been waiting for a place like this for a long time.

Truly fantastic bread! I got a challah (still warm) and a kannelbullar. I finished the whole challah on the way back to the station. It was definitely worth it stopping in Maastricht just to visit Chris. I was drawn in by the crazy focaccias I saw in the photos but it seems that they are not always there. No problem, another reason to come back here again 😀😀😀

Vers gebakken zuurdeegbrood. Mijn favoriet zijn de pretzelbroodjes met een frankfurter worstje in en de kaneelbollen. Ze waren zelfs nog warm. Goed gevonden en echt lekker.

I have been totally blown away with Chris’ bread making skills! They are without a doubt producing some of the finest artisan bread I have ever tasted! It’s literally melt in your mouth delicious and has the perfect flavour and texture. Thank you so much Chris and see you next week for some more deliciousness!!

As a lover of bread, would definitely recommend! The sourdough is perfection and the bagels are some of the best I've had, very rich in toppings. Or, if you're more into sweet flavours, the cookies are the treat for you!

Absolutely amazing! Fresh sourdough with that crunchy crust - impossible to stop eating. And the best customer service. If you are not into sourdough, I highly recommend the cookies and bagels. Everything they make is amazing, just go for it!
