Ate lunch there today. A goat cheese salad with walnuts and a tomato soup, my wife had the beef steak salad. Highly recommend. Tasty fresh and perfect

One of the nicest restaurants in Oldenzaal, just off the Market Square. The quality is always very good and the atmosphere is pleasant.

A fine restaurant for a bite to eat. We went there via Social Deal. There were a surprisingly large number of dishes that required a surcharge. I had the mushrooms in beer batter, which tasted very good, not soggy. I also had the mixed grill, which was fine too. My girlfriend had the nachos; there were plenty of them and they were well-topped. The same went for her meal salad. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was friendly. We will definitely go again.

Really my taste in music when it comes to atmosphere. I love songs like 505 by Arctic Monkeys. So the atmosphere was amazing, just like the food. I had the mushrooms in garlic sauce, it's just a shame there wasn't a bit more baguette with it. After that I had the burger, a real rollercoaster of delicious flavors. I would only recommend adding a bit more bacon, because that was the only thing you couldn't really taste. For me, the dessert was the lava cake, the best lava cake I have ever had, just like the burger, the best I have had so far. The service was amazing, very friendly and very fast; this is highly recommended.

Last Tuesday I ordered food and had it delivered, for the first time ever. And also the last time. Terrible! My advice is definitely don't order from here. IMHO: stay far away! My mother lives literally within stumbling distance of Christoffels (de Walgaarden), yet they still managed to deliver everything stone cold. Really, hats off! That you managed to pull that off is a testament to your business. Do you go to tons of other places first? Because considering the distance, even if you're walking, the food you order should still be warm! Was that aluminum foil over the meat just for show? (LOL) Didn't do much anyway! And, as it turns out, it's also overpriced for what you get. People, don't rely on the menu photos, because they're completely inaccurate!!!! I ordered food there for the first time with vicarious embarrassment. Once, but never again. What a crappy place. Perhaps they're widely aware of the quality issues? Hmm, should you run a restaurant? Knowing you're serving extremely disappointing food? Funny that you can't post this on their own website/app.

We had a wonderful time at Christoffels: delicious shrimp in garlic oil, beer-battered mushrooms, perfectly cooked steak, and wonderfully seasoned fries. The service is super friendly in a cozy setting. We'll definitely be back!

Always fantastic! I regularly eat a daily special there with my sons or a sandwich with a friend for lunch. There's also a very cozy terrace in the summer. Friendly staff, and always a pleasant atmosphere!

We ordered three sandwiches, two of which we threw away. The chicken sandwich was made from fried, compressed leftover meat, and the filet americano tasted like plastic. The beef sandwich wasn't bad, never again for us.

The Indonesian rice table was very mediocre and relatively overpriced. The flavors were bland and there weren't many surprises. It's a shame, because the Indonesian rice table used to be really good.

Had 1 drink during the boeskool festival, it was nice with live music.

On the way from Hamburg to Amsterdam we turned off the motorway completely at random. Ended up in this small Dutch town (Oldenzaal) with 20k inhabitants). The food is really good and the cosiness factor is top notch. We are here at the end of June with 25-26C and a light breeze and as a Nordic person you are happy.

I often order from Christoffels and am usually always satisfied. Placed an order today at 11:30. Delivery time was supposed to be 12:30. That was fine by me, but my partner had to go back to work at 13:00. I called at 12:45 and also indicated that my partner had to leave at 13:00. No, the delivery person was on his way, would be there any minute. At 13:05 still nothing. Called again. I then found the operator not friendly at all. She had tried to call the delivery person and he did not answer. "It was out of her hands" (as a company you are responsible, aren't you?) I indicated that if I order at 12:30 I think it is quite a lot that it takes more than 1.5 hours for an order to be delivered. "No, but most orders come between 09:00 and 11:00 and we are only half an hour late" I don't think a 40 minute late is very nice. And then to say, well, I can cancel it but not do anything else for you? Not very customer friendly. In addition, my food has been on its way for over 20 minutes and everything was already completely cold. A real shame because I normally order here with great pleasure, and we also often order from our work. Unforeseen circumstances can happen. But communicate that nicely to your customers and accommodate them instead of speaking to someone unfriendly and just letting them wait. By the way, the wrap wasn't even rolled up. Food cold. And 5 pieces of steak in a dish. But especially the way in which my question about where my food was was answered means that I will not order here again! Too bad money!!

In the past I have eaten at Christoffels more often, and it was always good. But last Thursday we were there with the whole family. And I can't say anything else than that it was just not good. 2 of us had a schnitzel, but it was incredibly small. For others of us the meat was way too well done and tough, for another the chicken fillet was still raw.

Nice thing, when it is very busy the acoustics are not so nice and it is difficult to hear each other. But it is nice there😉👍

We were here a while back with a social deal voucher. It was busy. The waiting times were very long and the service a bit stiff and unenthusiastic in approach. The food was decent, but not great.

Catering with hot and cold buffet. It looked great and tasted very good. Very friendly staff who are willing to go the extra mile. Nothing but praise! And……delicious spare ribs!!

The food was very tasty, but it took more than 45 minutes before we received the ordered main course. We were then asked if we wanted any dessert. It took another 20 minutes to bring the menu and after making a choice with the menu from the table next to us (I took it myself...) they finally came to take it.

We were in Oldenzaal for 1 night and had dinner with you, it was really delicious, nice and warm and spacious. Sufficient, the salad was really tasty. That is not the case everywhere, the staff is also very friendly, we will definitely come back here.

Just ordered a soup with a colleague. Simple tomato soup. €5.50!!!!!!! paid for a sauce container full of soup. 3 spoons and it was gone. In one word: scandalous. While as a company we regularly order there. So this was really the last time I let myself be robbed. Pity.

Cozy place for a tasty meal. Kind of large living room with separate conservatory. Tasty salads. Current experience: reservation in the afternoon at 3:30 PM for 6:30 PM in the evening, via the online form, was confirmed by email and received a reminder at 4:30 PM. Appears not to have been processed. Point of attention for the chef? But luckily there was still a table available. So I didn't cycle 16 km in vain....

Delicious food. Spanish prawns first and then a delicious Tournedos as a main course. White house wine Sauvignon Blanc. Definitely recommended for a meal. It's an advantage that they are also open on Tuesdays because I found out that most restaurants are closed then.

Had a meal of the day tonight: roulade was not good, very tough in fact, and way too peppery. The potato croquettes were tasty but also had pepper on them which they shouldn't. Stir-fried vegetables also much too spicy. Why not add a bag of pepper, so everyone can add as much pepper as he/she likes. Maria Stakenkamp

We received a (take-away) Authentic Indian Rice Table as a gift from our children. Made it at home with very clear instructions and enjoyed it. It was delicious. Compliments to the kitchen brigade at Christoffel's.

It looked neat and tidy. Tables were well screened and the toilets were tidy. The sandwiches are highly recommended. Quality price ratio is very good. The downside was the long wait, but that was eventually resolved with the offer of a free drink.

Nice meal of the day! Pity they stopped doing an appetizer or desert with it. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Card payment possible. Their website states you can't reserve a table for the meal of the day but staff told us everybody is reserving tables for it anyway, so recommended us to do the same to avoid a wait. Huh? Update your website please.

Normal, quite ok. However, the last few times there was something wrong with the order every time. For example, sandwiches that were missing, and today my sandwich was only half filled. For 6.95 euros I didn't expect this.

Regularly ordered food for work. In general that's fine. Tasty food and good portions. This time it was suddenly very different. Small portions, burnt satay, the skewers so burnt that they crumbled when handled. Meat dry and tough. Expertly hidden under a layer of satay sauce, topped with 10 tepid, limp fries and a little salad. Not what it used to be. Shame.

Excellent place for lunch or a day snack. Good staff where it is immediately clear that they value their products and the way they serve customers. All dishes are of good quality, but there is one that stands out: the satay. Recommended!

It took 3 long and 3 short before 1 came along. And finally ordered, pff the children in the service were looking forward to it. No ice cubes in the drink. 1 toilet for the entire business. It looked very nice inside. One could sit on the terrace for half an hour without drinking, without asking whether one would like another drink or whatever. During the busy Boeskool.
